The dungeon was so silent that a pin drop could be heard. Besides Furlo holding a book with a doubtful expression, the others were montarily speechless.

“It really is the Lionheart Sword…” Buru suddenly murmured, involuntarily taking a step back. “…How could this be, how could this be! The Forr King Eke once said that if his descendants ever forgot their honor, the Lionheart Sword would be lost with it. The purpose of our Royalists gathering together and striving was to reclaim the lost honor, but why would the Lionheart Sword be linked to your fate, Lord…”

“Master Buru,” Brand retracted the Wise Man’s Stone, looking at the confused old man, finding it hard to associate him with the chief artisan of the Royal Family. However, the information confird on the forum could never be wrong, and despite the old man’s eccentric deanor, he had demonstrated capabilities that made Brand take notice. This chief artisan of Erune actually understood runes, which surprised Brand. “You know sothing about the Lionheart Sword, don’t you?”

Buru halted, calming down because of the question. He looked at the young lord, knowing he couldn’t hide anything from him, yet he felt a bit troubled: “Lord, this is a secret. My family once swore an oath—”

Brand impatiently waved his hand. “I can probably guess your aning. I know the Tuxius Family has always served the Royal Family—however, the founding king of Erune, Eke, once swore an oath under this sword. He said that to forsake this oath would an being abandoned by the sword. Nonetheless, when the sword returns, Erune will regain its glory, no matter whose hands it falls into, no matter the ti it appears—The Lionheart Sword has always been closely tied to the kingdom’s fate because of Forr King Eke’s oath. But precisely because the sword inherited Forr King Eke’s will, it can choose the person who brings back this honor—”

He paused, looking at the old man in front of him with light brown eyes. His gaze was clear—You are a Royalist, but the efforts of the Royalists were not rely to place royal authority above the dukes. To reclaim lost honor, one must tread the path that Forr King Eke once walked, the flas of the ancestors must burn through this sealed-off land to bring rebirth to this ancient kingdom. Though Brand did not speak, he had given Buru a choice.

Brand had one more thing left unsaid, for he had already stood on the sa path as the stubborn and brave Princess from this mont. Though in the previous history she had not succeeded, this ti he would clear the thorns from her path, and Erune would gain true rebirth from the flas.

It was like history split into two straight lines before him, one leading to a flaming palace and city, the kingdom’s downfall, the earth burdened with suffering, lives enduring tornt in the fires, everlasting darkness. The other, leading to an unknown destination— that road might be fraught with difficulties, thorns soaked in blood, but regardless, at least there was a glimr of hope in the deepest darkness.

The old man lowered his head, hesitated for a mont, but finally chose to compromise. He sighed, “You are right, Lord. No matter whose hands the sword falls into, at least the old legend is infallible. I just didn’t expect that Erune’s path to glory would be through fire burning the earth; perhaps we have indeed fallen too far,” raising his head, his eyes becoming clouded again as he looked at Brand, “Lord, you know that in Erune, so families have long histories, but not every great family can trace its history back to the ti of Forr King Eke—The Xifah Dynasty, the Kerkova Dynasty, they both have created and destroyed a batch of noble legacies—”

He paused, “But there are so unknown small families that have passed down from ancient tis.” The craftsman’s voice carried a hint of pride, “The Tuxius Family is one of them. Although our family is not well-known, our ancestors served as attendants and blacksmiths under Forr King Eke. From generation to generation, our family has always served the Royal Family. Indeed, the craftsmanship of the White Lion Armor was invented by us. Later, my family turned to support the Kerkova Royal Family, up to this day.”

Brand nodded; he knew these historical facts. At least, he knew that the old man wasn’t deceiving him.
