Brand turned his head, a hint of appreciation in his brown eyes. Shifting from offense to defense was indeed his plan.
“Good idea,” Fern’s eyes also flashed with admiration, “but can it work?” the Great Commander of the Fire Earth Battle Group asked.
“The cave dwellers know their advantages compared to us. If they suffer defeats in daylight, they will definitely seek to regain it at night,” Brand replied. “At night, we will be defending; they have the ti advantage, and we have the geographical advantage. It will all co down to morale, combat ability, and the commander’s skill.” He sounded confident, but he knew it wasn’t his tactical talent—this strategy was already overused by countless Kruz players in the Amber Sword, during the Kruz and Jogen Digan war.
Though he hadn’t dealt with cave dwellers before, he knew this tactic well.
“But,” Qian asked puzzledly, “what if they don’t attack?”
“That would be perfect,” Hu Que laughed, “then we’ll attack them during the day.” But he turned around, “However, gauging our troop strength and combat ability is still a problem, my lord.”
Brand nodded, directing the guide to lead the rcenaries around the abandoned lumberyard towards the nearest lumberyard occupied by the cave dwellers. At the sa ti, he looked up, his gaze falling on the sun slowly sliding westward, and replied, “It’s indeed a problem, but I already have a solution.”
