Capítulo 563: Revised: Act 30 Expansion (11) (1 more)_2

The confidant who delivered the ssage had already told him the whole story. When caught, the young master was planning to escape with his servants and attendants. The exact reason was still unclear, but Sir Min Tai was already furious just seeing these few young people on the ground.

“Speak,” he asked from atop his horse, looking down on them: “What’s going on?”

The young man sitting on the ground completely disregarded his authority and raised his chin: “It’s too boring, Father.”

“Hmph,” Sir Min Tai said in a deep voice: “Did you not want to experience war? I can show you what it’s like. But what is this situation? You’d better explain it clearly to —”

“War? It’s just a bunch of rabble. How can you call this trivial scuffle a war?” The young man sneered but then raised his head and said seriously: “Father, do you know? It is rumored that Princess Griffine has returned to her Territory and is gathering her knights—”

Sir Min Tai was taken aback. Although he was a noble, his status was insignificantly small. He had, of course, heard so rumors from the north, but those were matters for the big shots and had nothing to do with a pawnless person like him.

“What’s that got to do with you?” he asked.

“Of course it has to do with ,” the young man said excitedly: “The next battle will decide the destiny of this country. I’ve decided to join this grand historical event and follow the Princess—”

Sir Min Tai had not expected his youngest son to have such thoughts. After a brief pause, he said: “Wishful thinking. You’ve never been out, do you even know where the Princess is? And do you know what’s happening outside now?”

“I’ll find a way.” The young man said confidently.

Sir Min Tai was helpless. Knowing his son had been exceptionally intelligent since childhood, he might actually find a way. Still, shaking his head to dismiss the thought, he said: “I don’t care whether you have a way or not, but you’d better first figure out how to convince —”

“Father,” the young man quickly stood up and argued: “You can’t keep . Why not let go out and make a na for myself? Staying in Tonyger guarding this small family estate for a lifeti is your generation’s thing, but to , a real knight should establish his rit in war—”

“War, have you ever seen war?” Sir Min Tai couldn’t help but taunt. In his youth, he had been a knight under Gruding, and though he hadn’t fought in years, he still retained his acute habits. He scorned the romantic notion of war touted by the young people.

But he suddenly stopped, rembering how his younger son had studied warfare when following Sir Pallas. Sir Pallas, though little known in all of Erune, was considered a top soldier in Tonyger.

In the fortress on the northern edge of Glahar Mountain, Sir Pallas commanded Gruding’s most elite knights. They had to guard against attacks from other nobles and fight the indigenous mountain people from the Southern Territory of the Jandener Region. Compared to the professional bandits, the bandits in Tonyger seed as gentle as lambs. Thus, when ntioning Sir Pallas in this area, everyone first thought of a stern soldier.

Sir Min Tai rembered that his son had also participated in wars with the mountain people. When it ca to combat experience, the young man was likely no less experienced than he was.

So he shook his head again and said: “Alright, I’ll give you a chance to convince .”

“What kind of opportunity?” The young man was interested.

“Be my assistant and let see your performance. If you can handle this job on your own, I’ll naturally let you go.” Sir Min Tai certainly didn’t think this way. It was just a delaying tactic. He thought there wasn’t ti to argue with this kid now and intended to deal with him slowly after the battle was over.

Since this kid liked fighting, he may as well throw him to that guy—Sir Min Tai thought, obviously referring to Sir Pallas. Although it was rumored that the two most capable knights under Gruding didn’t get along well, in reality, his relationship with Pallas wasn’t bad.

But the young man noticed his father’s thoughts. His light blue eyes turned, and he smiled slightly: “Father, it’s just a bunch of rabble you’re talking about; isn’t this making a mountain out of a molehill?”

“Hmph, haven’t you been following Jomart studying warfare for so long—” Sir Min Tai suddenly realized this was a good idea, finding sothing to expend this kid’s excess energy. He recalled a sowhat unreliable piece of news and decided to fan the flas: “I heard that among the rabble, there’s a young leader about your age who has already beco a commander. Yet, you always brag about yourself without any remarkable achievents. I’m giving you this chance, don’t you want to give it a try?”

The news Sir Min Tai received did ntion a young leader among the rebels. However, as for how old that person was or what abilities he had, it was entirely made up by Sir Min Tai. He didn’t care who led the rabble; they were just a disorganized bunch. He said this purely to make his delay tactic work.

“Provocation doesn’t work on a knight, Father,” the young man said, but his face’s interested expression betrayed him. “Alright then,” he finally nodded: “I agree. I’d like to see who this person is.”

Sir Min Tai maintained a blank expression but secretly laughed inside, thinking that the old still knows best. No matter how smart the kid was, he would still be outplayed in the end. This secret pride transford into a sigh: The youth, still too impulsive.

(PS. Sigh, all the data, including collections, are dropping every day. Feeling a bit discouraged.
