"Stupid thod?"
When Char closed the door and ca in from outside, he happened to hear his lord mutter this inexplicable sentence. Of course, it wasn't just him; Antitina and disha also heard it. Although they didn't know why Brand suddenly started talking to himself, they all understood what the sentence ant.
"Lord, are you saying you have a way to save Qian?"
Antitina was the first to ask.
disha, who was slower than her, could only turn her head to glance at Qian lying in bed, thought for a mont, and finally stepped back, remaining silent.
But Brand shook his head.
"There is no good thod." He then stopped his internal conversation with Otarais, and spoke to the others.
Char was visibly taken aback. "Lord, but you an?" This young man, who usually seed unreliable, looked quite serious now.
"The tenacity of Divine Blood is beyond your imagination, Char. You should understand that it is not a mundane item; mortal solutions are extrely limited." Brand looked at the red-haired girl lying quietly on the bed and paused: "Not to ntion that Qian has actually died once. Life and death reversal is a huge taboo in this world. Were it not for the incredible energy of the Divine Blood…"
He didn't finish his sentence, but the others understood what he ant without needing him to.
"So, is there no way?" Char looked at Qian, then turned back to ask.
"Seal into a card."
When Antitina and disha heard Brand say this, they were not overly surprised. One had seen Brand seal a card with her own eyes, and the other had experienced it firsthand.
But Brand continued: "However, sealing into a card is not a panacea. It only preserves the subject's current status and turns them into a summoned creature—"
He paused: "And that's not to ntion how unfair this is to the sealed person." He looked at disha, but the Silver Elf Girl didn't mind and quickly shook her head: "Lord, it was disha's own choice."
"But what about Qian?" Char asked.
"Lord, you should ask her directly," disha replied, "I think Qian will not refuse. Lord, you do not understand her heart—"
Brand fell silent. In fact, he could see Qian's reliance on him, although he didn't understand why this seemingly strong girl would show such unexpected vulnerability.
Still, feeling trusted indeed brings a sense of responsibility. In Shafelund Mine, Brand had promised Qian he would never give up on her, so he couldn't go back on his word.
Moreover, he wasn't completely without options.
But he thought for a while and eventually shook his head: "However, unless it's a last resort, I won't choose such a risky thod."
"Why?" Antitina asked, puzzled.
"Sealing into a Destiny Card is not without risks because it preserves the exact state of the sealed person onto the card, making them a summoned creature," Char answered on Brand's behalf, "so even if Qian is sealed into a card, there's a high chance her consciousness would be replaced by the Divine Blood—"
"In the end, all our efforts would be in vain."
Brand had discussed this matter with him long before, so the young Wizard follower was the most knowledgeable about it.
"But isn't it better than having no chance at all?" Antitina frowned, "Lord, we can't just do nothing, can we?"
"Don't be impatient in tis of crisis, Antitina." Brand glanced at the noble daughter, admonishing her: "No one here has said we would do nothing, it's just unless it's a last resort."
"The last resort?" Antitina cald down sowhat, "Lord, do you an there's still hope?"
"I ntioned, there's a stupid thod."
"Stupid thod?"
"The transformation process of Divine Blood always begins by taking over the body before it devours the soul." Brand looked at the red-haired girl on the bed and replied: "Therefore, in the final stage, the possessed person will lose strength, as the Divine Blood has completely taken over the power it initially brought and the strength contained within this body—"
Char and disha listened carefully without showing any disagreent, as one was a wizard and the other a Silver Elf princess who ca from a ti of war. They were well-acquainted with this mysterious knowledge passed down among wizards.
