Now reading: Chapter 701: Act 95: The Girl's Weaving (Part 2)2 from Amber Sword, a Game novel by Crimson Flame.

He did not wake up the rchant's daughter, instead casting his gaze upon Qian—this red-haired girl had completely changed in just over a week. She had lost her usual vitality and health, her face drained of color and turned pale as paper, her entire body seed thinner as it sank into the bed, her skin becoming translucent, revealing the veins beneath.

In stark contrast to the crystal-like skin, a distinct layer of black patterns was growing up her neck, these patterns spreading over her slender neck, already extending towards her face.

Seeing Qian like this, Brand's heart sank. The Divine Blood had already started to spread. Although Char had done his best to suppress it, this tenacious lifeforce continued to advance towards her brain, unstoppable.

If this continued, by the latest tomorrow morning, there would no longer be a red-haired girl nad Qian in this world.

disha and Antitina, seeing their omnipotent Lord silent, imdiately understood the severity of Qian's situation.

The Silver Elf girl, although not good at expressing her emotions, couldn't help but softly ask upon seeing this, "Lord?"

Brand rely shook his head.

The patterns on Qian's body must have originated from her heart—where the Divine Blood was injected, that is, the heart. In fact, this was the most troubleso thod of injecting Divine Blood. The person who used it must have been very experienced. Facing such a thod that required killing the host before reversing life and death, even Char and Brand were helpless.

To save Qian, they had to kill the Divine Blood. But the Divine Blood was now the only energy sustaining Qian's life. Even if they had a way to annihilate the Divine Blood, it would still kill this red-haired girl.

Moreover, they had no way now.

Another thod that worked for bodies being or already occupied—was to erase the dominating will. But what made Brand helpless was that the Divine Blood had no will, only acted instinctively, blocking this path as well.

He watched the patterns on Qian's neck grow, like blood-sucking thorns gradually draining the girl's life, or a slow-acting poison that would claim her life when the ti ca. But Brand stood by the bed, at a loss.

There was, however, a last-resort thod.

He frowned.

At that mont, a voice sounded in his mind: "Young one?"

"Hm?" Brand slightly turned his head, recognizing the mature and deep female voice as Otarais'. In fact, this Heroic Spirit from the Saint War Era rarely contacted him unless he had questions about swordsmanship, "Lord Kaya?" he asked.

If it were earlier, when Brand heard Otarais' voice, he would have been filled with hope. This woman was a powerhouse from the Saint War Era—an era where the forces of dark and chaos were far stronger than now. Terms like Divine Blood and Shepherd Tree Man were not unfamiliar to Otarais, and she knew even more about them than Brand did.

Unfortunately, Brand, being ticulous, had already considered this. In fact, on the way here, he had contacted Otarais in his mind, seeking her help.

But the problem he faced was also difficult for Otarais. Qian's life was already damaged, and it was the Divine Blood that repaired her body. In this situation, Otarais told Brand there were only two solutions.

One was the Miracle Technique within Holy Word Magic, a spell that could almost reverse laws, turning consequences into causes. It was even possible to restore Qian to her state before being occupied by the Divine Blood.

However, since the Saint War, other than Saint Fanzan, nobody else had been known to use this spell.

The second thod was even more fantastic. Otarais told him to find Martha's Contract. As the na implied, it was a pact between mortals and Martha. Since the other party was Martha, the mother of all things, the wishes it could fulfill were nearly limitless. This could be seen as an enhanced version of the Miracle Technique. If the Miracle Technique could save Qian, the implication for this thod was obvious.

But the flaw of this thod was its impossibly small chance of success. Although Otarais confird the existence of Martha's Contract, Brand had never heard of it appearing in history or encountered it in the ga.

In the ga, there were millions of players exploring this world, many of great power, yet none had found any clues about Martha's Contract. So what qualifications did he have to find it?

After rejecting these two paths, even Otarais couldn't think of a better solution for the mont.

Yet this ti, the voice of the Heroic Spirit gave Brand a glimr of hope, knowing that this ancient knight wouldn't contact him unless it was critical.

"I've reviewed it," Otarais said, "This girl should not live beyond twelve hours, terminally ill." she answered.

Twelve hours, which matched Brand's expectations. But the young man's heart sank upon Otarais' confirmation.

"Do you have any ideas?" the Heroic Spirit asked.

"No cure." Brand shook his head.

"aning you can treat the symptoms?" Otarais was stunned for a mont by his response, as even for her, keeping this girl alive a bit longer would take imnse effort.

And that would be in her pri condition, not her current state, where she could do almost nothing. Back in Buqi, saving Brand had already exhausted her efforts.

The Main Material Plane was very restrictive for pure spirit beings like her, unlike the Sanctuary between fantasy and reality.

Brand nodded.

"There's a foolish thod," he replied.

"Foolish thod?"
