Brand nodded, took the card from his hand, and burned it with fire—he wasn't aware that Destiny Cards had this trait before.
The Wandering Mage was taken aback by Brand's action. Although Starfire was rely a trick of an Elental Mage, performing it without incantations was not sothing a third-rate mage like him could achieve.
This indicated that Brand was an Elental Mage, and not just the kind of apprentice you find everywhere, but a bona fide Black Iron Rank Elental Mage. From the speed of his casting, it was no less than the Second Circle.
The Wandering Mage, though diocre himself, had a good eye, "So the Master is an Elental Mage," he said in admiration, while sneaking a look at Brand's expression, "Is the Master interested in this?"
"Why?" Brand put away the card, unsealing it and asking in return.

"Quite a few more?" Brand asked, "How many do you expect to buy? It's just a montary interest."
Qian, seeing her lord put on such an act, couldn't help but slightly purse her lips, but Antitina pulled on her hand from behind, cautioning the red-haired girl to be more careful and avoid giving anything away.

If Brand were rely a noble, even a rich patron, the Wandering Mage wouldn't have been so obsequious, but Brand was a legitimate Elental Mage, which made a difference.
