Planeswalkers form a self-contained system, generating elents with land cards and using these elents as if they were an independent and complete cycle, almost without direct connection to this world.
Sotis Brand can't help but wonder if that's why Planeswalkers can create a world of their own.
As Brand practiced his spell, he glanced at his Fire Elent Pool—it only had thirty-eight slots, still far from enough to unseal the Fire Giant Spirit, which left him a bit frustrated. However, seeing the fla form a ring on his hand, a flash of inspiration suddenly struck his mind like lightning.
He rembered sothing.
The young man hurriedly searched through his pockets and found a necklace at the bottom:
Fla Star[Magic]: Increases the capacity of the Fire Elent Pool by half, Fire Elent Enhancent 10.
He got this as a reward when he took down the Earth Envoy Eckn. Since he didn't have a Fire Elent Card Set at the ti, it had been buried at the bottom of a box for who knows how long, and he almost forgot about it.
If it weren't for today's boredom practicing spells, he wouldn't have rembered such a thing.
But with this item, things were easier. Brand imdiately removed the Ghoul Necklace and put on the Fla Star, then opened the Elent Pool again to see that the thirty-eight slots had imdiately increased to fifty-seven, far surpassing the requirent for unsealing the Fire Giant Spirit.
He suppressed his excitent, although he wanted to laugh out loud three tis, he first opened his Card Album to unlock the Fire Giant Spirit:
Fire Giant Spirit
(Scorching Hell X)
15 Fire
[Creature—Elental/Spirit, Level 36 Creature]
Tap to cause massive damage to your enemy with the Fire Giant Spirit and shuffle it back into the deck.
When Fire Giant Spirit is on the field, pay Fire 2 per day.
'On the scorching earth, the Fire Giant Spirit always instills fear in its enemies—'
But before Brand could admire this newly acquired card any further, he suddenly heard soone calling him. The young man looked up, over the heads of the children, and saw a familiar figure standing among the crowd in the distance—the Old Swordsman Kulan.
The old man gestured to him from there.
Brand was not surprised to see Kulan. When Veronica and the others left, he found this Old Swordsman through Fire Claw Lizardman Lord Ropa's connections, asking him to investigate why the Cruz people were here.
Compared to the Fire Claw Lizardn, Kulan, as a human, was much less conspicuous here.
However, he didn't expect the progress to be this quick. Brand thought that this old guy was quite efficient, as only one or two hours had passed since they left the 'Centaur's Hoof' market.
He imdiately stopped his spellwork, reassured the children, and told them he had important matters to attend to. He had earned a great reputation among the Tanians and Tree Elf children, so despite their reluctance, they parted to let him walk up to Kulan.
"How did it go?" As soon as Brand approached, he asked.
Kulan sat down on a wooden stump by the roadside—though the entire street was wooden—looked up at Brand, and replied, "Guess what, kid."
"How am I supposed to guess?" Brand replied impatiently. "In any case, it won't be for the sa reason as us; from the tiline, they set off much earlier than we did. Therefore, unless the Druids inford them beforehand, they must be here for a different reason."
"Moreover, the Cruz Empire doesn't care about the Trade Wind Ring, unless there's a Divine Artifact hidden here." But ntioning a Divine Artifact, Brand suddenly jolted, wondering if any information about Valhalla had leaked.
"Forget it, just tell directly." Brand frowned and replied.
"Divine Artifact?" Kulan was surprised. "You guessed pretty close. They're here for the Lion Heart Sword."
"Lion Heart Sword!" Brand almost choked on his own spit. What was going on? How could the Lion Heart Sword be here?
"Yes, you know about that anomaly in Chablis half a year ago, right?"
Brand's face beca peculiar, thinking not only did he know about it, but he also caused the reaction. He suppressed his doubts and asked, "But wasn't that reaction in Chablis?"
"It's said to be a Divine Artifact reaction, supposedly related to the Lion Heart Sword. However, isn't the Lion Heart Sword supposed to be in the hands of the Royal Family?" Kulan frowned. "Anyway, those people have been searching ever since. I heard they entered the Black Forest from the south of Chablis, seemingly finding nothing until they reached here."
Brand imdiately understood. These guys must have failed to find anything, then heard about the Trade Wind Ring anomaly, and so gathered here.
Could this be a fortunate coincidence?
He suddenly felt troubled. He knew very well the complex relationship between the Fla Blade, the Lion Heart Sword, and the Cruz people. The fact that a Duke Commander was sent to handle this matter showed the Empire's seriousness.
The problem was, the Trade Wind Ring had nothing to do with everything. It was only the sleeper Valhalla inside. But these people would probably not believe it and would certainly want to investigate for themselves.
Now, this was a dilemma.
Brand suddenly felt a bit thorny. "Are there only the Cruz people here?" he suddenly asked again. Given the Divine Artifact response caused such a commotion, it would surely attract more than just the curiosity of the Cruz people.
Kulan gave him an approving look and nodded.
"You're right, not just the Cruz people. The Eruein are here too, dispatched by the Royalist faction. However, the envoy entered the Black Forest before Erune experienced a split, so I don't think they know what's happening outside."
"Not knowing won't make much difference." Brand shook his head. "What else?"
"Bujia's Wizards, the Fla Temple, and so miscellaneous forces," Kulan replied. "However, only the Eruein and Cruz people were allowed into the city by the Druids, along with people from the Fla Temple. Bujia's Wizards entered the Green Tower individually."
"You got such detailed information?"
"As long as there are bars and adventurers, this information can't be hidden."
Brand nodded, thinking this was quite a spectacle. Who knows what kind of adventure awaited next? Yet he did not show any panic—at least he had a few advantages, didn't he?
First, the relationship with the Druids, second, Funiya, third, his familiarity with the Black Forest.
Especially the third point, it was unmatched by anyone.
However, while he was contemplating, he suddenly heard an exclamation. Then the crowd beca chaotic, as if sothing significant had happened. Brand looked up, feeling Kulan push him aside.
"Kid, look at the sky!"
"What's wrong?" Brand asked, puzzled, looking up.
Then he saw an unbelievable sight—
Right before his eyes, the colossal, seemingly endless wall of clouds—the Trade Wind Ring—was slowly parting to reveal what looked like an ancient colossal gate.
Ti seed to both slow and accelerate at that mont. Suddenly a fissure appeared in the white cloud wall.
The fissure was but a line on the horizon, yet it was imaginable how vast it actually was.
"The, the Path in the Cloud!" Brand shouted, gaping at the cloud wall, blurting out instinctively.
