"Qian."

The gentle call seed lower than the gusting wind outside.

The red-haired girl lifted her head. Veronica sat not far from her, the two taking shelter in a natural windbreak ford by the inward curve of the black rocks, a terrain not uncommon in this region perpetually shrouded by gales and sand.

Veronica seed to want to break the silence but suddenly didn't know where to start; the girl in front of her was filled with intense wariness towards her, which wasn't surprising since they had been enemies before.

But the Female Legion Commander ultimately chose to speak.

Qian blinked her beautiful amber eyes, looking with curiosity at the female noble from the Cruz Empire. Their relationship seed to have transford from adversaries into this delicate mutual dependency, leaving her with a surreal feeling.

Of course, more than that is apprehension, not from fear and tension about her own situation but from the concern born after leaving the Lord.

The unease was reflected through subtle expressions visible in the girl's deanor; her eyebrows slightly furrowed, forming fine wrinkles on the skin between her brows, with eyes full of worry.

Veronica sighed, "You don't need to worry too much, your Lord will certainly be fine."

The comforting words sowhat relaxed the girl, at least she no longer clenched her fists. Then the Female Legion Commander offered a kind smile:

"In the Cruz army, there's a saying: robust young n are favored by the stars above.

"It's said that babies born on nights when a brilliant star river spans the sky are the offspring of stars. The offspring of stars are extraordinarily lucky, always able to turn misfortune into blessing. I think he has this kind of potential."

Qian didn't understand why Veronica suddenly recounted this to her, looking incredulously at this senior, as if questioning: Do the Cruz people really have such a legend?

Their distance thereby shortened considerably.

"Where are you from?" Veronica suddenly asked.

"I..." Qian softly spoke the word "I" but suddenly beca wary; her eyes showed suspicion looking at the lady. However, the latter smiled, shook her head, and couldn't help but laugh lightly.

"You don't have to be nervous, I was just curious."

Qian tilted her head, looking at her with so confusion.

"I've seen many outstanding young people, but like your Lord," Veronica shook her head—although over a hundred years old, this Female War God still retained the youthful energy of her peak, calling her a stunning beauty wouldn't be an exaggeration—but now, sitting on the sandy ground, she seed a bit weary: "If out of a hundred people erges one genius, your Lord must be soone who appears once in a thousand years."

"Actually, I have no doubt about his future achievents, but I'm just curious, would such a person truly appear in a small country's border province? Brand says he's a Little Lord of Erune's border, but I feel that kind of description is too legendary."

"It's just like sothing out of those Knight novels." Veronica turned back, the green eyes flickering with a wise smile: "But everyone knows, stories are ultimately just stories."

Qian stared blankly at her.

"I an no harm, only curiosity."

"I don't know." The girl lowered her head, shaking it.

The Female Legion Commander seed to try to discern the truth of this statent from Qian's expression, but she did not press further. As if this conversation was rely a casual chat, she simply nodded.

"That little girl must have known him earlier than you."

For so reason, Qian knew Veronica referred to Antitina; she nodded.

"Quite a mysterious little creature." Veronica instinctively licked her lips, a habitual movent as if facing a competitor she refused to lose to on the battlefield thirty years ago, her green eyes also showing a glint of wildness.

She turned back: "Still worried, aren't you?"

Qian shook her head, unwilling to show cowardice in front of outsiders.

Veronica rely smiled slightly, "When the sandstorm subsides a bit, let's go down and find him."

The red-haired girl tossed her ponytail and suddenly lifted her head, looking at her in surprise.

The Female Legion Commander said no more; actually, she rarely showed an affable side in front of others, rely this solitary girl touched sothing soft within her heart.
