Anya clearly noticed Li Wei staring like he wanted to devour her.
A victorious smirk played on her lips. As the song reached its climax, she didn’t perform the explosive lifts or tumbles of a typical cheerleader. Instead, she turned her back to him, braced her hands on her knees, and perford an incredibly provocative hip thrust in Li Wei’s direction, adding a lethal little twist of her waist.

Anya turned around without missing a beat, straddling Li Wei’s lap and wrapping her arms naturally around his neck.

While Li Wei was enjoying a lap dance from the only daughter of a ten-billion-dollar oligarch, the atmosphere in the Gambino Family’s Queens office, also in New York, was decidedly grim.

"I bet 30 million USD," Luca said, biting his nails in agitation. "Didn’t the kid give us a tip?"
"But why is that Woj God schmuck now saying there’s no way Li Wei signs with the NFL?" Russo demanded, making a classic Italian hand gesture. "Could he be in on it with that Russian slut, trying to screw us over?"
"No way. They have no reason, no motive to do that," Luca said. "My gut tells he’s not lying."
"That’d be for the best. I even placed a one million USD bet for Mayor Hols," Russo snorted. "Tell the boys to get their guns ready. If Li Wei really doesn’t make it to the NFL, it ans they’re walking all over us, and we need to strike first."
"They’ll definitely strike first," Lady Delores said to Emma. "Tell our people at Brighton Beach to get ready."

Lady Delores and Emma were the only ones in the room.
"My lady, are you saying Li Wei is deceiving us?" Emma asked in surprise. "That can’t be, can it?"
"I don’t think so, either. I personally believe him," Lady Delores said. "But I represent more than just myself. We have to be prepared in case the Italians decide to turn on us."

"Racism?" Jasmine said without looking up. "Don’t be stupid, baby. The team’s head coach is a motherfucking nigga, just like ."
"I know... but I’m talking about the vibe in the locker room," Craig sighed, turning his head toward Jasmine. "Who are you texting? You didn’t even look up."
"It’s nothing," Jasmine said, locking her phone. She turned to him and asked, "By the way, did Li Wei tell you if he’s actually going to the Giants or not?"
"What?" Craig shook his head, looking blank. "I don’t know. He hasn’t said anything to ."
"Okay," Jasmine said, popping her bubblegum. "I’m getting a feeling he screwed up this ti. The NFL isn’t going to break the rules for so Asian high school kid."
"I trust my boy," Craig said, looking at Jasmine with a displeased expression. His tone hardened slightly. "He’s a smart guy. He knows what he’s doing."
Jasmine bristled. She put her hands on her hips, her voice easily overpowering his. "What’s that supposed to an? Is that any way to talk to your future agent?"
"Sorry, baby," Craig imdiately deflated. "I didn’t an it... It’s just, I’m so pent-up lately, you know? It’s spring already... When can we finally..."
"I’ll tell you what," Jasmine said after a mont’s thought. "If you win the Heisman Trophy in college, then we can."
Even though winning the Heisman was a near-impossible task for Craig, his heart soared. He began fantasizing about ending his career as a virgin on the very night he won the trophy.
"Just hold on a little longer," Jasmine said, noticing his expression and placing a hand on his thigh. "It’s to keep your testosterone and aggression focused on the field."
"Just a little longer..." Anya groaned, lying there limply. "I can’t take any more."
"Only twelve minutes this ti?" Li Wei asked, looking at her with a hint of disappointnt. "I thought you were going to teach a lesson."
"I’m not in top form today," Anya’s voice was like a kitten’s wl. "Next ti... next ti I’ll show you what I’ve really got."
"So what about ?" Li Wei asked, pointing to himself. "You got yours, but I’m not done yet."
"I..." Anya murmured, her voice faint. "Next ti... I can’t right now..."
Li Wei wasn’t the type to force his girlfriend, so he could only regretfully accept Anya’s promise of "next ti for sure."
