Anima Requiem: I Bought a Katana Online and Triggered the Apocalypse Chapter 49: Serif Unleashed Vs Clones

Serif took a deep breath, here we go, then he flickered, disappeared, appearing in front of the archer, chain wrapped around his right hand like a gauntlet, ready to punch.

But his instincts scread at the last second, air whoosing as the chain vines snapped towards him.

Serif twisted in the air, the vines passing effortlessly under him, but the archer leapt back putting distance between them.

Serif reached for the vine chain with his right hand, gripping it he pulled, wanking his clone at the other end forward.

He left the chain, cocked back his fist, and boom, an explosion as his fist t with its face.

As the smoke cleared, half of his clone's face was scorched, revealing wriggling flesh and vines within.

Without wasting ti, he bent the clone, holding it's hand and rolled onto its back avoiding a hamr which slamd into the clones wounded face.

Before Zhadra's clone could retrieve the hamr, Serif's leg snapped into the air, and wacked her head, sending it flying.

He pulled his clones hand, a sickening tearing sound echoing, black liquid seeping out of it's shoulder joint.

But before he detached it, he rolled off its back, an arrow piercing where he was a few seconds ago, an explosion slamming the clone into the ground.

He looked towards the archer, a grin on his face and boom, he dashed forward, chains wrapped around his fist, spinning like a drill.

The archer had no ti to react, as Serif appeared in front of it, his fist with the chains approaching it's stomach.

Then clang, a ringing sound echoed as the chain collided against a black shield, the spin creating sparks, digging into it.

But eventually it stopped, the shield stopped it.

Serif locked eyes with Orivin's clone behind the shield, at the last second, it had stepped in, and the archer.

His eyes widened, it was quick to react, already at his left, bow drawn.

Serif leapt back, no he tried to, but his fist wouldn't, vines had grown from the shield, tightening around his fist, locking him in place.

And simultaneously, two chains, wrapped around his free hand, his clone already standing up, battered but slowly healing, two chains tightly gripped in its hand.

Serif gritted his teeth, the arrow already screaming towards him.

Boom, an explosion resounded, black flas enveloping Serif.

The clones leapt back from the explosion and observed, waiting to see the result of there hard work.

A clattering and whirring sound ca from the clearing dust, revealing chains, whirring around in a sort of do.

As the chains receded, It revealed Serif, unscathed, his sleeve burned, slightly out of breath, but there was no major injury.

His brow slanted, jaw clenched, a hamr already screaming towards his left, in a split second, he jumped up, spun in the air, and stepped on the hamr, using it's force he flew off, creating distance.

Serif skidded in the dirt, through dry leaves and soil.

He glanced at the do behind him, Zhadra still charging, then at the clones, regrouping, and finally his wrist watch, all that in twenty five seconds.

Forty five seconds left.

They're a lot smarter than I thought, and it seems they are weary of my chains, he looked down at his chains.

The chains of dominion, it seems he had to use its abilities after all, the chains gave him three abilities, apply, Shackle and negate.

The ability to Shackle any law to whatever he or the chain touches, a maximum of seven laws, although he could only apply four. And finally it could negate any ability.

Based on the short exchange, their bodies are incredibly tough, even with a full powered punch I am surprised I wasn't able to take off its head, he looked at the clone, its face slowly healing.

They're weary of the chain and quite fast, I could make the chain heavy, to increase damage, but that'll slow down, but well, there's an easy fix for that.

The chain glead, a silver light focusing on it's tip.

First, "we cancel inertia," he muttered as he turned into a blur, "appearing in front of the chain wielder again.

To attack, I need inertia, he thought as his leg whipped into the air.

The clones emotionless eyes traced the leg, but it's body too slow to react as it's vision tilted, the kick sounding like an explosion, slamming the clone into the ground, a crater forming beneath it.

The others upon realizing what just happened were about to attack, the archer pulling back his string.

Too late, Serif smirked, sothing glead in the air, then slamd into the archer from above, tearing off it's arm.

He leapt into the air, then he disappeared, before the clones could react, he landed on Zhadra's clones back, holding her head with both hands, he pushes her onto the floor and pulled, a grin on his face, as blood started spurting out.

The next second the body this on the ground as he pulled off the head, black liquid pooling underneath the body.

His hands stained by black liquid.

Orivin's clone reacted, about to attack, but sothing lashed into his back, piercing through it, throwing him forward towards Serif.

Serif spun around allowing the clone to fly past, but it jerked to a stop, pulled back by sothing, and slamd into the ground, sothing tightening around him.

Serif leapt up, above the clone, and landed in it's head, squashing the head in like waterlon.

Then he looked at the archer, who was trying to regenerate a new hand, he slowly started walking towards it, sothing dragging through the dirt behind him.

"No need to keep this up anymore," he muttered with a chilling voice, "after all, there's nothing you can do anymore," he grinned as the chains materialized behind him, dragging through the dirt.

Four laws, cancel inertia, to boost his speed, then return inertia just before he attacked, applying montum to the tip of the chains, increasing attack. Apart from those, he increased his tabolic rate, boosting power produced, and finally, apply the law of refraction to the chains, making them appear invincible.

As he approached, the archer started moving back, trying to escape, but he swung the chain, tightening around its legs, Serif pulled, turning the legs to mush.

He stopped over the clone, trying to drag it's body towards the tree cage.

Serif looked down on the clone with disgust, his legs lifted up, and he stepped on its face, squashing it.

He looked at the ss, his eyes gleaming with silver light, brow s furrowed, then he took a deep breath, and staggered.

Then the trees thrumd again, the body of the archer suddenly moving towards his back, Serif turned around, eyes widening as he saw his clone standing again.

The dead clones all moving towards him, being absorbed, forming a realistic looking body, black eyes staring back at him.

Everything was the sa, like looking in the mirror, the eyes, nose, the outfit, even his white hair, all of it, and then the chains, a dark silver, unlike his, it wasn't a perfect copy yet.

But this, this was close, he looked at the watch, again, unfortunately for it, it was in the way, Serif smiled, and it was ti.

The air shifted, thrumming with power as Zhadra stood up, her hamr completely glowing red, pulsing like a beating heart.
