They had killed about 20 beasts, but that only lowered the number to 120. In the seven minutes, Clovis wanted to lower them down by another 50. It would be impossible for him to do it alone. Even with the help of Rin and Kanaria, it wouldn't be enough.

A series of explosions occurred, engulfing dozens of beasts.
The beasts let out a cry as so of them died while most were just injured. As expected of the mutated beasts, they were much tougher, not accounting for their regenerative ability.
However, it managed to slow down the beasts a bit, and Clovis got an opportunity to kill so more beasts during that ti. Rin and Kanaria focused on killing the injured beasts first, not giving them a chance to recover.
Of course, lody and Rea didn't plan to just watch from the sky.
Once the bombing succeeded, lody pointed to one spot. "Rea. There!"
