Wataru really, really wanted to buy that Pure Silver Sword! Determined, he continued hunting enemies around Tantegel Castle, focusing on slaying Drakes until he reached level 5. The Drakes occasionally dropped Drake Black Gems and Drake Jelly—the forr could be sold for 20 gold, while the latter served as a healing item. Upon reaching level 5, Wataru unlocked his first spell: Heal, which required 2 mana. With only 6 mana available, he could cast it three tis before running out.

Venturing deeper into the forest, Wataru encountered a new type of enemy—the Magician. Unlike Drakes, Magicians were formidable, being level 5 enemies themselves. They hit hard, dealing significant damage, and their attacks brought Wataru's 30 HP down to just 15 after a single battle.

"Dang! I better stick to fighting Drakes for now!"

After nearly an hour of grinding, he finally saved enough gold to buy the Pure Steel Sword. Excited, he rushed back to Brecconary Town, purchased the weapon, and watched as his character's sprite changed to wield a slightly longer sword.

"Hahaha! Now I can farm Magicians with ease!"

He spent his remaining gold healing up and ventured into the deeper forest. With the Pure Steel Sword, Magicians now fell in a single hit. "Take that, sucker! Hahaha!" Wataru laughed as he fard efficiently, quickly reaching level 6. With his newfound strength, he decided to explore a nearby cave.

Inside, he encountered Ghosts, which were manageable, but he also ran into Desert Scorpions. These enemies were much tougher, hitting harder than he expected.

"I need better armor, seriously!" he muttered as he pressed forward. The enemies were relentless, hitting harder than expected! Wataru realized he desperately needed armor upgrades if he wanted to survive deeper into the caves.

Despite the challenge, he persisted. At the cave's deepest chamber, a Druin awaited him—a level 8 mini-boss! The battle was grueling, and by the end, his health was dangerously low, leaving him with only 10% HP. He quickly replenished himself with Monster Jelly and a Health Potion from Brecconary Town.

His reward? A Silver Shield and a bag of gold!

Silver Shield ( 10 Defense → 20 when choosing Defend)

"Whoa! Not bad! A solid shield!" Wataru equipped it imdiately and pressed forward, reaching Garinham, a town at the edge of the map.

Garinham's Secrets

Speaking to the townspeople, Wataru received an interesting hint:

"The Silver Harp is hidden in the Swamp Cave. But beware, it's guarded by powerful monsters."

"Whoa? Silver Harp? What's that for?" Wataru wondered as he checked out the local shops. One item imdiately caught his eye:

Pure Steel Chain Mail ( 40 Defense, decreases enemy damage by 10%)Price: 2500 Gold

"Holy crap, that's insane! But it's expensive as hell! Should I grind again? Maybe I should check out the nearby caves first."

Deciding to explore a new cave near Garinham, Wataru faced Desert Scorpions once again. This ti, he handled them more efficiently, each battle costing him only 4–5 HP. The scorpions dropped 21–23 gold and occasionally Scorpion Stings, which sold for 100 gold each, He attempted to venture deeper into the caves, but the Druins still hit too hard for his current character. Realizing he needed better stats and equipnt, he decided to focus on farming Desert Scorpions first, taking advantage of their valuable loot and experience gains.

Grinding tirelessly, he traveled back and forth between the cave and Garinham to restock healing items. Eventually, he reached level 8, unlocking a new spell: Magic Sword Slash, which consud 2 mana and dealt elental damage. The new attack made battles against Desert Scorpions significantly easier, but Wataru remained focused—he wanted that Pure Steel Chain Mail.

After another hour of farming, he gathered enough gold and six Scorpion Stings to sell. With a wide grin, he bought the armor in Garinham rchant.

"With this, I'm ready!"

With Pure Chain Mail equiped he enturing deeper into the cave, Wataru now faced Druins—level 8 enemies—but thanks to his upgraded armor, they were no longer a threat. At the end of the cave, he encountered a Skeleton—a level 12 mini-boss!

The battle was intense. Despite his improved gear, the Skeleton put up a fierce fight. After a hard-fought victory, he breathed a sigh of relief. "What the hell?! Thank god I grinded for that armor first!" Wataru shuddered at the thought of facing the Skeleton without grinding and purchasing the armor earlier. "Man, these Skeletons are brutal! I would've been dood without this upgrade!"

His dungeon rewards?

Silver Harp – An item capable of putting mighty dragons to sleep.Stone of Sunlight – A mysterious artifact that summons sunlight to create bridges.

"Whoa, I wonder what these are for? I can't use them yet?"

Leaving the cave, Wataru returned to Garinham for healing and replenishnt and decided to explore a bit before moving on. While wandering nearby outside the town, he stumbled upon a tombstone. As he approached, a ghost appeared and spoke in text:

"I am the spirit of Garin. I cannot rest until my grave is visited. Please, help find peace."

Suddenly, the battle began! The ghost, like the Skeleton, was a level 12 enemy. Knowing he was near town, Wataru went all-out, spamming Magic Sword Attack to defeat it quickly.

"Heh! Better to spam my mana here—after all, the town is nearby, and I can heal up easily!"

As the ghost faded, its final words appeared on the screen:

"Thank you, Brave Warrior." Then the ghost disappears.

A notification followed:

Garin Gratitude : 3 Defense, 1 Attack!

"Whoa! My stats increased without leveling up? That's aweso!"

With newfound strength, Wataru continued his adventure, slaying monsters along the way. Eventually, he reached level 9, preparing for the next phase of his journey in Dragon Quest, while grinning from ear to ear with satisfaction at his progress.
