Sunday morning, March 16, 1992, Zaboru prepared his lodgings while Ayumi pouted hard because he was going to Arica without inviting her. The main reason for his trip was work-related—he wanted to observe ZEPS sales in the Arican market, create advertisents tailored to Arican audiences, and design flyers that would engage them. Erald Wings, the ZEPS distributor in Arica, had already booked TV stations and secured advertising slots. They were ready to shoot the ads, and Zaboru had already recorded most of the gaplay footage for use in comrcials. The plan was to finalize the ads within two to three days.
Zaboru expected to return to Japan by Friday night, just in ti for the March release. He also needed to oversee and work on the April releases, which required his input. While he had already provided the ZAGE team with an overall structure for the April launch and they had started working on it step by step, his guidance and final touches were necessary to ensure everything ran smoothly.
The US ZEPS global release was set for March 22, 1992, coinciding with the March release in Japan. It included the six newest ZEPS gas for the global launch, bringing the total number of gas available in the Arican market to 27. Of these, 21 had already been released, and the six new titles would launch together. This was nine more gas than the NES had at launch in his previous life. With such a massive lineup, players would be too engaged with ZEPS to consider buying other consoles. Additionally, Zaboru planned to delay Japanese releases by one month after the global release throughout 1992 to build hype among global players.
"You're so an, Zabo! How can you leave alone?" Ayumi pouted.
Zaboru sighed. "Ayumi, I'm going to the US for work, and you have college, right?"
"I can leave college for a week!" she insisted.
Zaboru sighed again. "I'm afraid that won't work. When I'm in Arica, I'll be fully focused on work. If you're with , I might end up ignoring you the whole ti."
"You already ignore here anyway! And now you want to go to a 'free country' like Arica and spend your money on Arican girls, right?" she accused, puffing her cheeks.
Zaboru stared at her with deadpan eyes. "You think I'm like that? Really?"
Ayumi realized her mistake and, seeing his expression, quickly apologized. "I... I'm sorry, Zabo. That's not what I ant..." Her eyes welled up with tears.
Zaboru sighed again, then gently hugged her and kissed her forehead. "You know I'm not that kind of guy, right? You know how I've always been. This is an important step for ZAGE going global, my love. Please understand, okay? I promise I'll take you to another country for a holiday in the future."
Ayumi sniffled and nodded weakly, burying her face in his chest. "Promise you'll be there for next weekend, okay?"
Zaboru nodded. "Yup, I plan to arrive in Japan on Friday night, so don't worry."
Ayumi kissed him softly, then nodded. "At least let accompany you to the airport."
Zaboru smiled and nodded. "That can be arranged."
He was traveling with Kudou, ZAGE's His trusty head of ZAGE Legal Departnt, who was familiar with Arica. Kudou had accompanied him previously when negotiating with Erald Wings. The three of them—Zaboru, Ayumi, and Kudou—headed to the airport with Ayumi's driver, Junjou. In the car, Ayumi clung to Zaboru, cuddling him the entire way. Zaboru sighed, running his fingers through her hair, while Kudou chuckled at the scene from the front seat.
After a while, they arrived at the airport, and the plane was ready for boarding. Ayumi hugged Zaboru for a long ti. "Rember to co back before next weekend, got it? Or I'll get really mad."
Zaboru chuckled and patted her head while grinning. "Of course, Ayumi. How can I survive the weekend without you by my side?"
Ayumi blushed, tightening her hug. "I'll miss you."
Zaboru smiled before gently pulling away and making his way toward the gate. He settled into his seat on the plane, gazing out the window as he let out a slow breath. 'I hope everything goes well.'
anwhile Kudou sit Beside him and tease him "You are so Popular boss, Hahaha!. I'm Jealous!"
Zaboru sigh and Chuckle "Shut up Kudou"
Both then laugh and they hope everything went well.
With that thought, the plane took off, carrying him toward the United States and a critical mont in ZAGE's history.
