Now reading: Chapter 88 - 86: Harvest from Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies, a Sci-fi novel by 1 Long Tail.

These people must have been fleeing the disaster on this cruise ship. Bags and luggage of all sizes were scattered everywhere.

Jiang Linhai didn’t find a single survivor. The temperature was still dropping, and his exposed skin, eyes, and ears ached from the biting cold.

Worried about him, Jiang Si had followed. Seeing so many bodies made her heart grow heavy.

Jiang Linhai looked at her and sighed. "An apocalyptic disaster... It’s just too tragic."

Jiang Si saw that his ears and nose were bright red and his eyelashes were coated in frost. She quickly pulled a balaclava from her spatial storage and put it on his head. "This is the *Prince*, the largest cruise ship in the Northern Country. It can hold several thousand people, but based on the density of the bodies, there are well over ten thousand here. We’d be better off on a small boat than on this cruise ship."

"Cruise ships have helicopters and yachts. Let’s check the lowest and highest decks to see if they’re still there."

Jiang Linhai didn’t want to stay among so many bodies either. The air was heavy and grim, and frankly, it was terrifying.

Besides, the cruise ship was too big. There was no way just the few of them could operate it.

The whole vessel was frozen solid, like a city of ice. Finding a way to stay warm on it would be a huge problem.

Jiang Linhai agreed imdiately. "Alright. I’ll go down, you go up."

Jiang Si shook her head. "We’ll go together. There might be survivors, or other dangers."

"Alright."

Jiang Linhai and Jiang Si first headed down to the ship’s lower deck. What greeted them was a luxurious casino.

Since everyone had been fleeing, the casino wasn’t in operation. In the empty space, they occasionally saw the frozen body of a staff mber or two.

Walking down a hallway from the casino, Jiang Si and Jiang Linhai ca to a large, sealed gate.

The gate was covered in frost, frozen completely shut.

Jiang Si glanced behind her. Just to be safe, she smashed a nearby security cara before pulling a cutting tool from her spatial storage and starting to work on the gate.

The gate was tougher than it looked; a standard tool was completely useless. ’I should just use a grenade,’ Jiang Si thought. But Jiang Linhai said, "They usually hide a key near gates like this."

Jiang Si laughed. "Everything uses fingerprint locks these days. Who uses keys anymore?"

The words had barely left her mouth when Jiang Linhai found sothing that looked like a key behind a nearby wall panel.

Jiang Si looked surprised. She smashed open the tal box, and sure enough, it was a key. "How did you know?"

Jiang Linhai looked a little smug. "Big things like yachts aren’t exactly easy for soone to just walk off with. So, I figured they wouldn’t need a high-tech lock."

Jiang Si gave Jiang Linhai a thumbs-up. She quickly used the key to open the gate. They passed through a corridor over a hundred ters long and ca to another passage leading down. When Jiang Si and Jiang Linhai looked down, they couldn’t help but smile.

Yachts, just as they’d hoped.

They walked down the stairs and found not only well-equipped yachts but also nurous kayaks, lifeboats, inflatable assault boats, and small sailboats. The sheer quantity was astounding.

Jiang Linhai’s face lit up with excitent. He asked Jiang Si, "Can you fit any more in your spatial storage?"

Jiang Si shook her head. "I can’t fit them all."

Her spatial storage could fit, at most, one more yacht and one helicopter. She had already maxed out the vertical storage, and every other little nook and cranny was cramd with things.

Jiang Linhai looked disappointed. Jiang Si said, "We can pick the biggest yacht and load it up with as many supplies as it can hold."

Jiang Linhai’s eyes lit up, and he suggested, "There are several boats here. Why don’t we each take one?"

That way, they could carry a lot more.

Jiang Si laughed. "One boat per person? Piloting separate boats would just burn more fuel. Besides, yachts aren’t that easy to operate. This is a huge ocean, full of dangers. Do you think everyone else would agree?"

Jiang Linhai thought it over and agreed it wasn’t a reliable plan. He then asked, "Are the supplies in your storage enough for everyone?"

With three new mouths to feed, Jiang Linhai was particularly worried.

Jiang Si nodded. "I’ve utilized every inch of the plot of land in my storage, both above and below ground. Its yield is equivalent to a much larger farm. As long as I keep farming, we won’t have to worry about food. I’ve also stocked up on plenty of other daily necessities. Even if we’re frugal with the consumables, we should have enough. But if we’re constantly piloting a boat, we’ll burn through a lot of fuel. The more of that we have, the better. A yacht this big is bound to have plenty of fuel, which should be more than enough for us."

Jiang Linhai was relieved. "Then let’s go check out the yacht first?" he said excitedly.

Jiang Si shook her head. "Everyone’s still waiting in the helicopter. I’ll put the yacht in the water first. We can move the other things over later; there’s no rush."

"Alright."

Jiang Si and Jiang Linhai searched for a long ti but couldn’t find a switch to open the ship’s docking bay. The controls were probably on the main bridge.

But even if they made it to the bridge, it wouldn’t matter. The entire cruise ship was frozen solid.

So, Jiang Si simply loaded one of the yachts with supplies, moved it into her spatial storage, and then deployed it onto the sea.

This freed up so room, so she went back and loaded another supply-filled yacht into her storage.

After spending a considerable amount of ti on this, Jiang Si and Jiang Linhai finally headed to the upper decks of the cruise ship.

The second deck of the cruise ship housed a luxurious restaurant. The freezers and storerooms were filled with so much food that stepping inside felt like entering a foodie’s paradise.

Hams worth hundreds of thousands, caviar packaged in gold foil, top-grade truffle and foie gras... It was a feast for the eyes for Jiang Si and Jiang Linhai.

Jiang Linhai marveled, "It would be a real sha to leave all this behind."

Jiang Si agreed it was a sha, but her storage was full. Besides, her storage wasn’t a stasis field; once inside, the frost on the food would lt, shortening its shelf life.

Jiang Si said, "Let’s just pick out so things with the longest shelf life and take those."

Jiang Linhai picked up a bottle of what looked like very expensive red wine. "Take a bottle for your grandfather to try."

"Okay."

Jiang Si did a sweep of the storeroom and freezers, filling every last gap in her spatial storage before they continued upward.

The third deck was the cruise ship’s luxury shopping center, once a paradise for won.

Jiang Si wasn’t interested in things like handbags and jewelry. Passing by a high-tech electronics store, she grabbed so computers and phones, and even took two smart-ho robots—things she could never have afforded, even when she had money.

Jiang Linhai passed by a watch boutique and saw the priceless Rolexes inside. He asked Jiang Si, "Are these watches really waterproof? And do they really wind themselves forever?"

Jiang Si nodded. "They do."

Jiang Linhai imdiately went into the shop and grabbed one for each person in their group. "We’ll keep them as heirlooms. Who knows if anyone in the future will still have the technology to make sothing like this."

A high-end watch like a Rolex was even more precious in the apocalypse. On the black market, a single Rolex could be traded for several years’ worth of food, instantly elevating its owner to a life of being waited on by others.

Jiang Si herself had once lanted not buying a few before the world ended.

After a mont’s thought, Jiang Si reached out her hand and swept all the Rolexes from the display case into her spatial storage. ’They’ll co in handy eventually.’
