When Bai iyue saw Bai Feng return so quickly, she cursed her luck for being rotten. However, she still didn’t let go of Bai Xue, who was struggling with all her might. Though Bai Xue had pretended to be a gentle and frail lady, at that mont she scratched and pulled at Bai iyue’s hands with all her strength.
Behind them, Chu Xia ca rushing down. She had only one daughter; how could she allow Bai iyue to kill her? Bai Xue was her precious child whom she had gotten after exchanging half of her life. No one was allowed to hurt her.
Panting and out of breath, Chu Xia hugged her daughter, who was dragged like a sack. She snarled at Bai iyue, "You crazy bitch! You are really a lunatic! What kind of grievance do you have that you want to kill my daughter? Even if we did sothing wrong to you, do you think that its worth killing my daughter for?"
"Brother, Mom…"
Bai Xue was still being held by Bai iyue. Her scalp felt like it was about to be torn. But this was not enough to stop her from showing an aggrieved and pitiful look to Bai Feng. She knew that at that mont only Bai Feng could save her.
"Yueyue," Bai Feng, who ca to a stop in front of Bai iyue, softly called her.
Hearing his tone, Bai iyue shook off her fingers that were knotting Bai Xue’s hair and wiped them with a handkerchief before throwing it down. She noticed Bai Xue and Chu Xia’s expressions changing and turning furious but so what? A woman who climbed into the bed of a married man and her daughter who tried to steal the fiancé of her half-sister, if they were not dirty, then what were they?
"Bai Feng, tell what’s the aning of this?" Bai iyue sneered coldly. "I cleared up this building and arranged everything for my family; now not only is this area infected with double the amount of zombies but so people went to my house and tried to steal my supplies. You tell , what are you going to do about this?"
Bai Feng didn’t know what to say. Looking at Bai iyue’s posture, he could tell that Bai Xue was the one who leaked the address of their house to her friends, who brought a horde of zombies and they must be the ones who tried to break open the door of Bai iyue’s house.
"Do you know how scared my mother and two nephews were when they heard that soone was trying to break into our house?" Bai iyue fired without letting Bai Feng say anything to clear Bai Xue of the charges. "They couldn’t sleep all night for fear that soone would break open the door. Bai Feng, those are the supplies that I almost exchanged for my life. These idiots cannot understand it; don’t tell that you cannot understand it either?"
Even if Bai iyue used her toes, she could understand why Bai Xue let these people co here. Wasn’t it because she wanted to raise her prestige and find a few supporters who would be willing to care and raise her? In the past life, it was her and Bai Feng, along with the few n who were chard by Bai Xue and now in this life, it was these people.
Bai iyue long understood that Bai Xue was not stupid or naive at all. She was rather calculative and shrewd. If she hadn’t, then Bai Xue wouldn’t have survived the longest in her last life. She managed to hide until soone close to her betrayed her.

When Bai Feng’s eyes, which were like two inky pools of darkness, turned to look at Bai Xue, the woman lowered her head with a guilty expression. She apologised sincerely, "I am sorry, Brother Feng. I just wanted to help my friends. I heard you say that this place was much safer than outside and I thought that my friend could stay here for a while. After all, it’s dangerous outside and they would die if I didn’t help them."
Her eyes turned teary. "I never ant such a thing to happen. They found out that Sister Yueyue had a lot of supplies from the refugees in the building and—and they did such a thing. But I swear I never asked them to do it... wuuuu…"
"You don’t need to apologise!" Chu Xia pulled the crying Bai Xue in her arms and glared at Bai iyue as if she were a heinous villain. She sneered and sarcastically said, "Bai iyue, do you think that just because we hard you once, we owe our lives to you? We have already paid for what we did wrong by staying locked up. What more do you want? Xuexue also feels guilty for the things that she has done and she wanted to repent, which was why she saved so many people. What’s wrong with that?"
SLAP!
The sound of a crisp slap echoed on the second floor and everyone turned to look at Chu Xia, who was now holding her cheek that was slapped by Bai iyue with a stunned look on her face.
"You—you slapped ?" Chu Xia couldn’t believe it—the woman whom she could pinch and squish as she wanted actually dared to slap her!
"I did," Bai iyue moved her wrist as if slapping Chu Xia hurt her a lot and it did. It was harder than killing a zombie; who asked her to be thick-skinned? She looked at the disbelieving expression of Chu Xia and snickered, "What did you really not expect it after saying such shaless words?"
"Chu Xia, the things you have done have almost ruined my life. If not for the end of the world, I would be the one suffering instead of you. And what do you an by Bai Xue saving these people? How did she save them? I was the one who cleared the zombies in this building and area. So how co she was the one who beca their saviour?"
