On the other hand, Bai Xue, who was waiting for Bai Feng to return, was slowly running out of patience. These past few days had been nothing but tortuous to her; without the supplies in her hands, this group of survivors whom she had saved actually turned their backs on her.
They even started to call her nas and discuss the matter of no supplies behind her back. Who were they? They were just a bunch of dogs whom she had given shelter; how dare they question her!?
These survivors actually dared to say that she was the one who tried to bite more than she could chew? Bai Xue was so angry that she was about to turn crazy.
However, her persona was hard to break and she couldn't drop the mask that she had been wearing in public for more than twenty years.
"Mom, did dad really not get any supplies from that old woman? Didn't you say that the old woman was like a puppet in the hands of dad?" Bai Xue questioned angrily. She had been hoping that without Bai iyue's interruption, her dad would be able to get so supplies from Yan Wanning but he returned empty-handed!
Who was the one who boasted that he could make that woman submit with just a few words?
"Calm down; don't bring up that woman for the ti being." Chu Xia pulled her daughter and patted her on the back of her hand. She then peeked out of the door and sighed in relief when she saw that her husband was not lingering outside.
She then raised her hand and smacked Bai Xue on the back of her head with the right amount of force. "You... you are really driving your mother to death, aren't you? You know that your father is furious because of that woman and yet you brought this matter up again. Are you trying to make your dad angry?"
Bai Xue was not the only one who was stunned by the sudden change of the situation; even Chu Xia was feeling flustered with the lack of control over the current situation. In the past, she and Bai Qingshi were a loving couple. They respected one another and everything was fine.
Their daughter was slowly rising up with the help of Bai iyue and Bai Feng.
Their plan was just about to finish when the world suddenly ended.
All of their plans were thrown to one side and they were thrown off by surprise, leaving them with no way to control the situation.
What made the situation even more chaotic was that Bai iyue and Yan Wanning were no longer suppressed under the feet of Bai Qingshi. In the past, these two won wouldn't dare to say a single word against Bai Qingshi but now Bai iyue had turned rebellious. If Bai Qingshi said one word, Bai iyue would counter with more than ten.
And Yan Wanning, who used to quake at the re raise of Bai Qingshi's voice, was now ignoring him.
Neither of them was taking him seriously.
This made not only Bai Qingshi upset but even Chu Xia felt a bit annoyed and flustered by the sudden turn of events.
Before the apocalypse, she was filled with a sense of pride. After all, she had snatched Yan Wanning's man and even made her daughter the stepping stone for her little Xue.
But now the tables had turned!
The one who was in the superior position was Yan Wanning. Every day she ate at and whatnot while she was relying on frozen als. What was more, she heard from soone in the survivors group that Bai iyue actually awakened as a water-type ability user, which ant that Yan Wanning had all the water in the world that she needed.
She could not only drink her fill but also bathe and wash her clothes!
And what about her?
The amount of water in her house was so little that forget about bathing; Chu Xia couldn't even think about wiping her body. She didn't even rember when was the last ti she had cleaned herself; now the situation was so ssy that her hair was all tangled up and layers after layers of dirt was sticking to her skin.
Chu Xia was annoyed and angry. She felt the heavens were really unfair.
How could they let soone like Yan Wanning live such a comfortable life?
Not only her daughter but even her two sons were awakened!
As for her, Chu Xia glanced at her daughter with a heavy look.
She sighed and then said to her daughter, "Don't think about it too much,Xuexue. I am sure that Bai Feng will return very soon. When he cos back, these people will be slapped in the face."
However, as soon as she finished speaking, Chu Xia knew that she had only given invitation to another storm. Sure enough, a second later Bai Xue threw the tea pot that was sitting on the small coffee table and watched it coldly as it shattered into pieces.
"When will he return!? I have been waiting for him for so long and that useless man is still gone for so many weeks. Is he trying to kill us all by delaying his return?" Bai Xue's eyes were filled with a ruthless glint as she muttered, "And even if he cos back, so what? He would naturally share the supplies with Bai iyue. That woman is so ruthless, she doesn't even share a water bottle with us and yet Bai Feng would certainly hand her more than half of his supplies."
"Why can't he just take as his sister? Why does he care about Bai iyue so much!?"
At that mont, Bai Xue wished Bai iyue to die in a brutal way. Only when that woman was gone would she be able to win the favour of Bai Feng. Maybe if she played her cards right, then she might even win over Lei Qian and the two Bai brothers.
With so many supernatural beings helping her, would she still need to worry about not getting enough supplies?
