Bai iyue had no idea that soone was hoping for her death. At that mont, she was only worried about Shen Zhen. Seeing the woman getting more and more far away from her, Bai iyue panicked.
The scene was in utter chaos and even if Bai iyue wanted to catch Shen Zhen, it was impossible. Unless she washed away the entire crowd of zombies, but that would take too much energy. She turned her head and saw Bai Jixuan. Imdiately she rushed to her second brother and said to him, "Brother, can you please bring that young woman to ? I need her by my side at all costs."
Bai Jixuan turned to look at Shen Zhen. She was the only young woman among the group of old won and young children.
"Alright, wait for here," Bai Jixuan said to his sister as he shifted and beca an eagle before flying straight to the young woman. Bai iyue watched her brother grab Shen Zhen by her shoulders and lift her up in the air. Everything happened so quickly that no one had the ti to react.
Even Shen Zhen was stunned, as she didn't expect that one day she would be kidnapped by an eagle. By the ti she reacted, Bai Jixuan had brought her right where his sister was waiting for him.
"Here you go." Bai Jixuan changed into his human form and started dressing up. He looked at Shen Zhen, who was staring at him as if she had seen a monster. With a brow raised, he turned to look at his sister and asked, "Should I tie her up? She looks like she is about to run away."
Shen Zhen snapped out of her daze. She got to her feet with difficulty as she tugged on the straps of her bulging backpack. She blew her ssy, greasy and tangled hair off her face and looked at Bai Jixuan before exploding angrily, "What do you think you are doing? I don't even know you. How can you grab soone like that?"
Shen Zhen had gone through a lot these past few months. First she was caught in a tsunami and couldn't leave the building where she was trapped. When she was wondering whether or not she was about to die, the tsunami waves finally eased.
Sohow, Shen Zhen managed to sneak out of the building but soon found out that the world had turned upside down! n eating monsters appeared on the street and even the animals mutated.
It was with her sheer willpower that she was able to escape from the disastrous situation.
Now that she finally got her hands on so supplies, soone kidnapped her. Even if Shen Zhen was thinking with her toes, she was certain that it had sothing to do with either the supplies in her hands or her body.
Shen Zhen had gone through multiple situations like this.
"I am telling you that you can forget about —"
Before Shen Zhen could lose her temper at Bai Jixuan even more, Bai iyue reached out and patted the woman on the shoulder.
"Doctor Shen, it's , Bai iyue. You rember , right?"
Shen Zhen, who was scolding Bai Jixuan, paused and turned to look at Bai iyue; her eyes widened slightly when she recognised the woman standing behind her.
"It's you.." Shen Zhen of course rembered Bai iyue as this woman had left quite an impression on her.
Not only was Bai iyue pregnant at the age of eighteen, she was also carrying the child of the man arranged by her father, who acted like a pimp. With Bai iyue's matter attracting so much attention, how could Shen Zhen not rember her?
And that wasn't all.
Shen Zhen raised her head and carefully looked at Bai iyue from head to toe. Despite the world changing so much, Bai iyue didn't seem to have changed much. She was still the sa as she was before. Her face was petite and her skin was clear without a speck of dust.
Shen Zhen looked down at herself and felt her lips twitch. What was going on? She was also a woman, not as beautiful as Bai iyue, nonetheless a woman. Why was it that Bai iyue looked like she had stepped out of a portrait of an ethereal immortal family but she —
Shen Zhen stared at the many stains on her clothes and hands. Though she hadn't looked at her face for more than three days, Shen Zhen knew that her face was not any better. Not to ntion the stench of sweat and blood made her feel even worse.
"Are you still looking for your sisters?" Bai iyue asked when she saw Shen Zhen was not speaking.
"How do you know—" Shen Zhen paused before shaking her head. "I was looking for my sisters but then I ended up stumbling into my senior, Zhou Hengbei. He was also escaping from the n eating monsters and that was when the two of us decided to co to the city hospital. We thought — we thought that the situation here would be better but…"
Shen Zhen trailed off.
Bai iyue didn't need her to finish speaking. As soone who was reliving the apocalypse, she knew very well that the hospitals were the most affected place in the zombie apocalypse.
Of course, those who had no idea about the severity of the situation were unaware of the situation.
"Do you want to co with us then?" Bai iyue suggested as she offered Shen Zhen an olive branch. Back then, it was Shen Zhen who saved her life. This ti around, if she could, then Bai iyue wanted to save Shen Zhen.
However, to her surprise, Shen Zhen shook her head and stated in a firm voice, "I cannot co with you. To be honest with you, I and Senior Zhou ca here because we wanted to collect supplies for the patients at the hospital."
