Bai iyue’s eyes widened when she realized that Lei Qian had kissed her on the lips. This was her second kiss in two lifetis, though it sounded pathetic—this was indeed her reality.
The man tilted her head to one side and deepened the kiss; his lips worked against her and his fingers knotted into her hair, making heat flood into Bai iyue’s cheek. She didn’t like kissing in her previous life; she had kissed a lot of actors because the scenes demanded it.
However, none of them made her heart skip a beat like it did as it did now that Lei Qian was the one kissing her.
But Bai iyue was not one to submit; she first kicked the man and then pushed the man away. With a fierce glare she said to him, "What is the aning of this?"
Lei Qian’s eyes were red with tears in them. He reminded her of the little boy who had once cried because he was called girly and then heard him say, "You are so cruel, Yueyue. I am willing to do anything — anything but you refuse to talk to . You even ignore . I know that I was wrong but I was also drunk and intoxicated."
"Do you really have to hate this much?"
"I don’t hate you," Bai iyue answered without showing much expression. Though she did feel complicated while listening to Lei Qian’s sobbing voice. He was a grown man; why was he crying just because he was rejected by his crush?
"If you don’t hate , then why do you reject so much?"
"I—ugh," Bai iyue didn’t even know whether it was because his father was crying because of her, but Xiao Cai suddenly started rebelling. Her stomach felt as if it was about to churn itself to death and Bai iyue pushed Lei Qian away and rushed to the bathing room where she threw up.
Her push hurt Lei Qian but what hurt him even more was that Bai iyue had thrown up after she finished kissing her. Did she hate him so much? His heart felt cold and then suddenly he felt angry. He couldn’t understand why Bai iyue hated him so much. True, he did sothing wrong but he wasn’t the one who pulled Bai iyue into his room.
She was the one who knocked on his door and threw herself in his arms. He was heavily drunk and sowhat intoxicated. To make things worse, he liked Bai iyue so much. When he saw that his goddess was rolling in his arms, he had no choice but to agree with her requests.
He thought it was just a dream after all; Bai iyue was so cold and indifferent to others; how could she act so coquettish?
If he was in the right state of his mind, he wouldn’t have done it when Bai iyue was drugged.
He turned to leave but then his gaze fell on Bai iyue who was throwing up so hard that her entire face turned blue. Seeing her like this, how could Lei Qian not feel sorry? He sighed, his anger disappearing instantly as he turned on his feet and headed over to the restroom. He pulled her hair back and patted her on the back, coaxing her like a child as he apologised for kissing her.
He was also in the wrong. Just now when he heard her stomp on his sincerity like that, he couldn’t stop himself and kissed her. But he forgot that Bai iyue was only eighteen. She was very young and went through a lot of things in just a few months.
He couldn’t push her too much.
Gradually, when she cald down, Lei Qian picked up Bai iyue in his arms and brought her to the bed, where he laid her down and questioned, "Should I bring Doctor Shen to see what is wrong with you?"
"I am fine." Bai iyue didn’t want to trouble Shen Zhen when she knew what was wrong with her. She blinked her eyes and drew in fast gulps of breath. "There is no need for you to call for her."
"Then why did you start throwing up?" Lei Qian asked with a slight wobble in his voice. "Is it because I kissed you?"
Bai iyue shook her head. "No, I told you that I am a bit sensitive to scents; you haven’t washed and neither have I... and proximity intensified the scents."
Only then did Lei Qian’s face beco a bit better but then he started to bla himself again. He lowered his head and apologised in a low voice, "I am sorry; I was too angry and lost my temper. I shouldn’t have pushed you like that."
Seeing the man bla himself, Bai iyue felt even more guilty. Especially when the man with that face, which was similar to her son, curled his lips and pouted as if he was self-blaming.
Bai iyue’s heart softened when she saw Lei Qian like this. Even if she was worried that Lei Qian would bring trouble to her and her son, she didn’t have to cut him off so abruptly, which would make Lei Qian uncomfortable. She could deal with this matter slowly.
In the previous life, those people couldn’t attack her son with her around; she beca that strong as long as she worked harder on herself— Did she have to worry about anyone harming her son?
As for Lei Qian, she could take things one at a ti. In her past life, she didn’t know when that woman appeared next to Lei Qian but it didn’t take long for the two to find one another. It happened before she gave birth, so as long as that woman was destined to et with Lei Qian —the two of them would run into one another.
Once Lei Qian got involved with another woman, would she still have to go through this much trouble?
Calming down, she pushed the man and said to him, "Go and clean up; look at how bad you sll. I can’t bear the sll of dried, rotten blood."
