Bai iyue curled her lips. However, she didn't wish to entangle with Lu Yin; if the woman wanted to feel all happy and giddy just because she was being used as a ssenger girl, then she might as well let her enjoy this feeling a bit more.
"Go and tell him that we will be out in a few seconds," Bai iyue calmly told Lu Yin. Her expression was calm and she didn't look like she was looking for a fight but sothing about Bai iyue's stance made Lu Yin frown. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Bai iyue watched the woman turn on her feet and walk away with a sneer on her face. Lu Yin was way too young to compete with her just yet.
She turned to look at Jiang Haidai and said to her, "You should get ready too."
Jiang Haidai nodded and agreed.
Bai iyue left the room without saying anything more; she took the recyclable bowl with her and then threw it in the trash can. Behind her, Jiang Haidai helped her son put his shoes on and then followed after Bai iyue.
Lei Qian and the rest of the team had already gathered in the small hall of the inn. When they saw Jiang Haidai coming downstairs, they nodded at her but Dacheng, who stood quietly in the corner, curled his lips when he saw the woman bringing her son along with him.
This was why he didn't like dealing with won. They were simply a drag.
He walked over to where Jiang Haidai was standing and glanced at her. He asked in a polite voice, "are you coming with us?"
Though he hid his contempt, Jiang Haidai, who had been living with ng Guo's father for more than three years, naturally sensed it. Though she didn't like how the man looked down at her, she still raised her head and smiled at him.
She nodded and replied, "Yes, don't worry, I will take care of myself and the children."
When Dacheng heard her words, he was so amused that he curled his lips in a mocking smile. Though he looked down at Jiang Haidai, this woman who was locked up by a big boss and treated like a servant, he didn't mock her outright.
Instead, he nodded and said, "Very well. I hope that you will do fine, Sister Jiang. After all, once we arrive at the hospital, no one would have the ti to take care of you. If sothing happens, then I am afraid that you will be in trouble. So please think things through."
Though he spoke politely, every word seed to be condemning Jiang Haidai.
Listening to his words, Jiang Haidai could no longer maintain her smile. She secured ng Guo on the back and then said to him coolly, "Don't worry, since I decided to follow the team, I know the risks. Even if I am dying with my son, I will deal with it. You don't have to co and save ."
After she finished speaking, she turned on her feet and walked over to where Bai iyue was standing. She didn't wish to listen to Dacheng's backhanded concern.
The reason she decided to follow Bai iyue was because she had confidence in Bai iyue. Though others might have noticed it, Bai iyue was a very responsible woman. Since she dared to bring the team to the hospital, Bai iyue must be confident that nothing major would happen.
More importantly, Bai iyue never once asked her to charge to the front line. She wanted her to stay in the back and kill zombies when she could; it wasn't hard or dangerous. All Bai iyue wanted was for her to cultivate her strength such that she wouldn't beco a burden on anyone.
Look at this; she was hunting and killing zombies— but just because she was not hunting as much as others, she was already being looked down at.
Jiang Haidai didn't want others to look at her like Dacheng; thus, she was determined to cultivate her strength and courage.
And not only her, ng Guo also needed to build his courage. With the changing tis, how would her little one survive if he didn't get used to seeing blood and corpses? Since Bai iyue dared to take their responsibility, then they dared to follow her!
Yang Chunhua walked over to where Dacheng was standing and said to him, "Why did you say such things to her?"
"What do you an?" Dacheng pretended to be stupid and blinked his eyes. "Am I not worried about Sister Jiang? She is pregnant and has a child with her; if she is not careful, then she might end up in trouble. I was just telling her to be cautious."
Yang Chunhua frowned. Though she didn't sense anything amiss with what Dacheng said, she had a feeling that there was sothing wrong. She opened her mouth to speak twice but before she could, Lei Qian asked them to follow him outside.
Yang Chunhua could only leave the matter alone and follow the team.
Of course, Bai iyue noticed the little scenes going behind her but she didn't rush to rescue Jiang Haidai. Firstly, Dacheng was not soone who would listen to her warnings. This man had looked down at won since he was a child; even if she tried to change his thinking, it wouldn't work.
Secondly, she couldn't help Jiang Haidai all the ti. Even though she was having a hard ti finding her place in the team, she still had to fight back or else others would start riding on her head.
"What are you looking at?"
Bai iyue rolled her eyes and turned to look at the man who was standing in front of her. She said to him, "What does it have to do with you?"
After speaking, she snorted and walked away.
Maybe Lei Qian knew that he was wrong last night, so he didn't push her too much. He was worried that if cornered Bai iyue, then his wife might run away. If his wife ran away, what would he do then?
