Now reading: Chapter 260 260: Smug and Stupid from Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies, a Drama novel by fairytail72.

Jiang Haidai was not greedy but she also wished to have a little sothing under her na. At the ng family, she was beaten and treated like a dog. Though the ng family never gave her anything, they would still scold her for using the littlest thing from their house.

Even the leftover rice was treated as sothing really precious by the ng family when they handed her a bowl. She was asked to thank them for their grace and was told that she was really lucky that she t people as kind as them.

Bai iyue more or less understood her feelings. She didn't say anything and simply nodded.

She walked inside the room and ruffled ng Guo's hair with her fingers before turning to look at Jiang Haidai. When she saw that the woman was actually rolling up even the tissue papers, she said to her, "There is no need for you to pack so many things; you can just pack what's necessary and then leave the rest."

She was worried that Jiang Haidai would pack everything and later have trouble with so much baggage.

Jiang Haidai also thought that she was packing too much and nodded before putting so stuff back in the room

Bai iyue took out a pack of dried squid and handed it to ng Guo. She originally wanted to give him candy but then she rembered that ng Guo was still a child. If she gave too much candy to him, his teeth might start to rot, so she decided to give him sothing nutritious.

"Don't give him too many snacks." Jiang Haidai was worried that her son would take all of Bai iyue's secret stash. Her son was not greedy but who would be willing to ignore such warmth? In the ng house, they were treated less than humans; forget about giving her son snacks Master ng treated her son like a dog.

Bai iyue simply smiled and said, "It's alright. I can always look for more." She was not worried about these snacks running out. With the barter system, she could not only ask for dried squid but even a live one. With a fresh sea food channel opened in her barter system, why would she care about such a simple thing? Let the child eat it if he wanted.

She then asked Jiang Haidai, "Do you want to go and hunt zombies?"

Though Bai iyue wanted the woman to get strong, the number of zombies at the hospital would be much more terrifying than on the street. She didn't want Shen Zhen to lose her sister in just a day after finding her.

"I want to go," Jiang Haidai nodded. When she saw Bai iyue's shocked gaze, she smiled and said to her, "Don't be surprised. It's not that I don't trust my big sister but I would rather not beco a burden on her."

Jiang Haidai was thrown to the orphanage when she was just three or four years old. Her parents treated her as a burden just because she was a girl and didn't want to take responsibility; wasn't it because they were worried that Jiang Haidai would beco a burden on them?

Though she knew that Shen Zhen wouldn't treat her in the sa manner, she didn't want to rely on her elder sister. Since she had two hands and two feet, then she might as well collect crystal nuclei and exchange them for food with Bai iyue.

Bai iyue was quite satisfied when she heard Jiang Haidai's response. She was half expecting the woman to lay back down after finding out that she was Shen Zhen's sister. However, Jiang Haidai was smarter than she expected. Though the woman was locked up in the ng house because she had no one to back her up, she could see things much more clearly than others.

If she had refused to follow them, for the sake of Shen Zhen, Bai iyue would have allowed this woman to follow them, but she would have lost all her respect for Jiang Haidai. Now that she had heard Jiang Haidai was willing to face the challenges in front of her, Bai iyue respected her even more.

"Very well, you can go out and hunt zombies but make sure that you don't rush in the front. Like the last ti, you need to stay at the back and only kill the zombies that we miss, understand? Don't take unnecessary risks."

"I know. I will protect myself and the kids."

After she finished packing up, Jiang Haidai was handed frozen fish by Bai iyue. When she looked at the gigantic fish that Bai iyue took out of her bag, she was stunned but she then heard Bai iyue say, "I brought it with ."

Though Jiang Haidai was confused, she didn't ask. Instead, she went to cook for Bai iyue and her son. While she was gone, Bai iyue casually picked up ng Guo,who was eating dried squid, and narrowed her eyes. Not bad this child was also a supernatural being.

Though his ability hadn't awakened, it wouldn't take long for him to awaken.

Bai iyue played with ng Guo while Jiang Haidai was cooking. Once the pot of fishball soup was cooked, Bai iyue drank three bowls in one big gulp and finally felt satisfied.

She hoped that her child wouldn't be affected because of his mother, whose health was poorer than the beggars on the street. That Jiang Zeming, he really wanted to make her suffer. Just because his precious Bai Xue filled his head with so superficial lies, that man actually hard her like this.

Co to think of it, she hadn't seen that man for a long ti. Where did he suddenly go?

While she was lost in thoughts, soone knocked on the door. Bai iyue raised her head and looked at Lu Yin, who had her head raised like a proud peacock.

"Brother Qian said that we need to go."
