Why five? Because if sothing happened to Bai iyue, wouldn't they all beco living corpses? If Bai iyue left them, then they would never be the sa.
Bai iyue sensed the worries of her brothers and reached out to hold their hands. She said to him in a comforting voice, "I know that you are worried about , but I promise you that I will be safe. I am confident that nothing will happen to ." She raised her head and looked at her two brothers; though they seed to be angry with her decision, Bai iyue knew that it was only because they were worried about her.
She shook their hands and said to them, "Don't think too much, Brother Zhan and Brother Jixuan. You just need to wait for your niece or nephew to be born."
Though Bai iyue's words were full of confidence, the two Bai brothers didn't believe her completely. After all, how could their worries be soothed with just a few words? They simply smiled at Bai iyue's words, and at the sa ti, they exchanged a worried look with one another. Bai Zhan raised his hand and patted Bai iyue on the head before saying a few more things to her and taking his leave.
It was only then that Bai Jixuan stepped up from his chair and glared at her, just like he did when they were kids. Every ti Bai iyue did sothing wrong, he would glare at her in the sa manner.
However, he didn't say anything to Bai iyue and walked out of the greenhouse.
Bai iyue watched her two brothers leave and silently placed her hand on her abdon. She comforted her son, "Don't worry, Cai Cai. Your uncles might look like they are not excited about your arrival but they are really excited, believe . They will love you the most. Make sure when you are here, you show them that your mother didn't make a mistake by keeping you. Be filial to your grandmother and respectful to your uncles."
When she was young, she had never done anything that would make others worry about her. After all, she knew that even if she was in trouble, no one would co to help her. This was the first ti she had stood up for herself, even though she knew that it would upset her family.
It's not that Bai iyue didn't know that her actions would only make her family troubled, but once she beca a mother, her priority was her son and no one else. Even if it seed a bit selfish.
Even if her family was worried and saddened by her decision, she would not change her mind no matter what.
Bai iyue stayed in the greenhouse and stared at the moon for a while before silently retreating to her room. She could only hope that her two brothers and mother would calm down after a night's rest.
The next morning, Bai iyue didn't plan to wake up but her little son had other plans. Maybe he knew that his father was going away for a while and thus, he started to act up almost at once. Bai iyue had to get up and rush to the restroom more than three tis in the morning and by the fourth ti she was too tired to even lie down on the bed; she closed her eyes and simply sat on the bed trying to cultivate.
But alas!
Her son was bent on throwing a tantrum. In the past, he had never done such a thing before, but ever since he found out that his father was going away, he had been making life a living hell for his mother.
Annoyed with the constant nausea, Bai iyue stepped out of the room and put on her slippers before heading to the balcony. The weather was cold enough to make her shiver and yet for the sake of her son, she had to step out and peer down at the street.
Fortunately, she knew when Lei Qian was going to leave; thus, her efforts to wake up and co out on the balcony didn't go to waste. She looked down at Lei Qian, who was going to look for his grandfather with his sister and Lu Yu. Maybe the man sensed her fervent gaze but he raised his head a second later, and the serious expression on his face lted right off.
He raised his hand and waved at Bai iyue, who waved back without saying anything.
She waited for the man to leave, and only then did she return to her room. Once she was inside her room, she looked down at her belly and scolded her son angrily, "Happy now? Are you satisfied now that you have seen your father?"
In response, her son stayed calm.
Seeing this Bai iyue was so angry that she laughed out loud; sure enough, this brat had started to lean towards his dad more than her. And he wasn't even born yet.
When she went downstairs, she saw her mother and two brothers sporting black eyes. It was clear that they didn't sleep a wink. Bai iyue didn't want to get lectured the first thing in the morning and imdiately snuck out of the house.
When Mother Bai saw Bai iyue sneaking, she imdiately chased after her.
"Where are you going? Yueyue, co back! You need adequate rest! Yueyue!" Mother Bai looked at her daughter, who was running out of the house with a helpless look in her eyes. She wanted to call her back but Bai iyue didn't even look back.
On the ground floor, she found Yun Chuan together with Wan Guo Fu. The two of them had gone outside earlier in the morning and found a truckload of spicy strips. They were grinning from one ear to the other while looking at the pile of spicy strips that they had brought with them.
"Miss Bai! Look at this, we got our hands on the popular spicy strips!"
