The Liu siblings were stunned. They raised their heads and looked at the young woman who ca to save them. The young woman looked younger than they did, but for so reason, she seed way more powerful than their pitiful self. Liu i stared at the woman for a while before she threw herself into Bai iyue’s arms.
Bai iyue was taken aback when the woman threw herself into her arms, but she still supported her. Her gaze fell on the thin clothes that Liu i wore, along with the damage that Boss Yun had done to her clothes. Seeing that Liu i was almost naked, Bai iyue took off her jacket and handed it to her. At the sa ti, she turned to look at her brother and said, "Can you give your jacket, brother?"
Bai Zhan was wearing two layers of sweaters under his jacket, so he would be fine if he didn’t wear his jacket, but Liu Che’s body was completely bare, and he was only allowed to wear a set of underpants. Bai iyue wondered how this man was able to stay alive till now.
"Sure," Bai Zhan understood why Bai iyue was asking him for his jacket and handed it to her.
Bai iyue took it and then put it on Liu Che before saying to him, "Cover yourself well; it is cold."
When Liu Che heard her warm and caring words, he didn’t know why, but he wanted to cry. And a second later, he did start to cry. Ever since his father passed away and he was captured, he had been humiliated and stepped on. No one cared about him and his sister. While he did try to save his sister from harm, it only led to him getting humiliated even more.
This was the first ti soone was willing to take care of him. He couldn’t help but cry out loud. After all, he was just a nineteen-year-old boy, and after going through so much, he couldn’t help it anymore.
There were no guards outside, so it didn’t matter that the two siblings were crying. Even if they heard it, they would think that Boss Yun was the one bullying the two siblings and laugh at their plight.
When Wan Guofu saw how Bai iyue was comforting the two siblings, he suddenly felt even more troubled. He was certain that Bai iyue had so soft spots for these two siblings, and it was not a good thing. If Bai iyue continued to grow close to Liu i, it was alright, but if she were to start getting close to Liu Che, Wan Guofu could already see the entire building burning down.
It took so ti for the two siblings to stop crying. Once they did, they were filled with embarrassnt. They were actually crying in front of a young woman who was much younger than they were.
After she was done crying, Liu i peeked at Bai iyue worriedly. She saw her in such an embarrassing position; would she look down at her?
Liu Che had the sa thoughts. The woman in front of him was too beautiful, and even though he didn’t have those sorts of feelings for her, he still didn’t like the idea of Bai iyue finding him in such an embarrassing position.
Bai iyue could sense that the two siblings were straying down the wrong lane. She sighed and patted Liu i on the back before saying, "Alright, get off . Nothing happened, so there is no need to cry."
When Liu i and Liu Che heard her words, they heaved a sigh of relief. At least the woman didn’t look down at them.
Liu Che raised his head and, with a red face that was redder than monkey butt, looked at Bai iyue before saying to her, "Thank you. You are really our benefactor; if you hadn’t co to rescue us, I wonder what would have happened to the two of us."
Wan Guofu’s alarm bells started to ring even louder when he saw that the young man was blushing while speaking to Bai iyue. He wanted to step in but had no idea how to do it. What was he going to do? Was he really going to watch Bai iyue getting snatched by this young man?
When Bai iyue heard Liu Che’s words, she couldn’t help but smile. This man was still the sa. Even though he didn’t speak much, he didn’t forget his manners.
Just like in the past, he was pure and innocent. Even more so now that he didn’t go through the tornt that Boss Yun made his sister and him go through.
Bai iyue shook her head and then said to the two siblings, "Go ahead and get dressed. We will wait for you two outside."
When Liu Che heard her words, he couldn’t help but blush even more. Just now, he was busy looking at his saviour and completely forgot that he had been left almost naked for days. Thinking about how Bai iyue saw him in such a condition, his face couldn’t help but flush red in sha.
He hurriedly covered his body and peeked at Bai iyue, who never looked at him. Seeing her paying attention to his sister, Liu Che heaved a sigh, but at the sa ti, his heart couldn’t help but thump wildly.
He wasn’t the only one. Liu i also looked at Bai iyue with eyes that were filled with admiration and respect.
There were so traces of adoration, which made Wan Guofu break out in a cold sweat.
"Thank—thank you for saving us." Liu i covered her body with the clothes that were handed to her and looked at Bai iyue with a sweet smile. The faint scent that was lingering in the jacket slled really nice. It also brought a sense of comfort to Liu i.
Bai iyue turned to look at the two siblings who were looking at her as if she had saved them from a burning building. She said to them, "Don’t thank . We saved you because your mother made a deal with us."
