Dacheng knew this, and Bai iyue also knew it. She was not a fool who could not see what was going on. With how smart Bai iyue was, she must have sensed sothing amiss the first ti she heard about this offer. No wonder she refused at once.

"As long as the base can be built properly, no matter the grievance, whether big or small, I am willing to suffer." After she finished speaking, Yu Miaomiao walked out of the office without glancing at Dacheng and Lu Yin.
Dacheng's smile dropped. He was not willing to let such a good opportunity leave his hands, even though Yu Miaomiao didn't pull him off the task of recruiting Lei Qian and Bai Feng; he knew that the woman was actually diverting his attention by making him recruit the offensive ability users.
If he started collecting other supernatural ability users, how was he going to focus on Lei Qian and Bai Feng? If he didn't recruit these two people, then he was worried then all his hard work and the rewards that he was aiming for would be taken away from him.
He turned to look at Lu Yin and said to her, "Keep an eye on things. if you hear soone else being given the task of recruiting Lei Qian and Bai Feng, tell almost imdiately."
"Is it important?" Lu Yin frowned and asked. "Isn't the goal to recruit Brother Qian to the base?"
"Just listen to when I speak to you!" Dacheng was almost driven crazy by this stupid woman. He glared at Lu Yin, who stiffened and said to her, "Don't use your brain when you don't have one to begin with."
After scolding Lu Yin, he pivoted on his feet and stepped out of the office. Lu Yin watched him leave and stomped on the spot. Why did he treat her in such a way? Did he think that she was an idiot? What did she even do for the man to think that she was a fool?
Dacheng, on the other hand, stord past the corridor. He currently needed to stabilise Yu Miaomiao; since that woman was looking down at him, he would first try to capture Xiang i. That woman had offensive ability and could grow food.
He would first force Su Hu to hand that woman over; as long as he got his hands on her, he didn't believe that Yu Miaomiao would see him in a new light. Low-ranking ability user? Bai iyue would look down at him? That woman must be shivering just thinking about his na!
At the complex building, Lei Qian couldn't understand why everyone was looking at him with a weird gaze, even the Bai brothers were looking at him as if they wanted to skin him alive. What was going on?
However, his thoughts ca to a sudden pause when he saw his grandfather waking up.
"Grandpa!" Lei Qian smiled as he walked over the edge of the bed and sat down next to his grandfather.
Old Master Lei opened his eyes after closing them twice and turned to look at his grandson.
When he saw Lei Qian, his pale lips curled up in a smile and he made a humming sound. Seeing that his grandfather was alright, Lei Qian jumped from the chair and hugged Bai iyue, who protected her belly at once, as she couldn't allow the man to crush her precious son.
Of course, Lei Qian, who was too excited, didn't notice anything. He hugged Bai iyue and then said to her happily, "Thank you! Thank you for saving my father's life, Yueyue."
When Bai iyue heard his words, she simply smiled and waved her hand. She said, "This is what I should do, and I didn't do much. It's Doctor Shen and the others who saved the life of your grandfather."
"Don't underestimate your skills," said Shen Zhen as she rushed inside the room when she heard that Old Master Lei had woken up. She looked at Bai iyue and said to her, "You were the one who stopped his bleeding. If you hadn't, then I am afraid that the situation would have beco a bit dangerous."
She then turned to look at Old Master Lei and asked, "How are you feeling, sir?"
"Fine," Old Master Lei replied as he got busy with Shen Zhen, who was asking him questions, while Lei Qian looked at Bai iyue with a burning gaze, which made her flush.
"What?" she asked with a hint of annoyance.
