Bai Jixuan didn't waste any ti when he heard Bai iyue's command. He got to his feet and then grabbed the collar of the man and picked him up from the ground. Before throwing him out of their house. Dacheng staggered to his feet and looked at the door that had been closed on his face. He wanted to knock on the door and tell Bai iyue that she was wrong. That there was absolutely nothing that could make him regret his decisions. That he would be happy and content one day because of his own decisions. But he didn't.
Because he realised that there was no need for him to say anything. In the future, when he would be standing on top of everyone, Bai iyue would realise how wrong she was and how right he was!
Inside the penthouse, Yang Chunhua was sitting on the couch with her face in her hands. Beside her sat Tong Huan, who rubbed her back and soothingly said to her, "I know that you are hurt, but there is no need to feel upset over a man like him. Just look at him; he doesn't even see that he has done anything wrong. What's the point of losing yourself for a man like him?"
Bai iyue didn't say anything; she knew that there was no point in saying anything to Yang Chunhua. She, too, was like her once upon a ti, and Bai iyue, too, had to face a lot of self-deception before she realised that Su Hu was not the kind of man she believed he was.
She turned on her feet and headed upstairs, not wanting to waste her ti with Yang Chunhua. She had once told her that it was not worth hoping for anything from Dacheng, but the woman didn't listen to her. She still held hope towards Dacheng, which showed that the woman was not willing to believe a word that Bai iyue had said to her.
Since Yang Chunhua wanted to walk down this path, what could Bai iyue do about it?
"I will cook sothing good for you," said Mother Bai. As a woman who was cheated by a man, she understood Yang Chunhua better than Bai iyue. At least her approach was better than Bai iyue's, who would leave a woman to her devices when she was faced with such a situation.

As soon as Mother Bai went inside the kitchen, Lei Qian chased after Bai iyue. He rushed to hold her hand, but Bai iyue pulled her hand away before smacking the man on his back. "I am not so weak that I cannot even climb up the stairs."
She was not even four months pregnant right now; if this went on, then how would she survive with Lei Qian's protectiveness?
"Okay, okay! Okay! Don't move around so hard. Please be gentle and careful. Don't push this hard."
Lei Qian felt his heart shake with fright when he saw her getting angry and moving around so recklessly. He was worried that if he didn't calm her down, Bai iyue would end up hurting herself with how reckless she usually was. He almost knelt in face of her tantrum as he was worried that Bai iyue would end up hurting herself.
"Please stop moving my ansector! I promise that I will not rush out to hold you. Just stop moving, alright?"
Bai iyue snorted and said, "You don't have to tell to take care of myself. I can do it just fine on my own. If not for the fact that I was pregnant with Little Cai Cai, do you think that I would have stayed so still? I would be running up and down the stairs, I know my body better than you!"
After she finished speaking, she twisted her waist with a hand resting on her back and then walked upstairs without looking back. Lei Qian followed after her like a little wife without saying a word. He knew that things were going to be out of his control because there was no way his wife was going to listen to a word that he had to say to her.
Once she arrived at her room, Bai iyue turned to look at Lei Qian and questioned, "I heard that Bai Feng asked you to co and discuss so important matters with you. What did he tell you?"
"Nothing important," Lei Qian replied with an eyeroll. Though Bai Feng did arrange for a eting, the first eting didn't co to any kind of fruition. They only did so self-introduction, and then a few seconds later, they were talking about the base and the policies that the officials of the base were introducing. After that, Lei Qian lost his focus because he couldn't even listen to half of the things, because Zhou Hongbei ca running and told him that Bai iyue had disappeared.
"Go and talk with Lu Yu about what kind of important pointers were discussed," Bai iyue told him. "Bai Feng might be an idiot when it cos to the Bai family, but he is really smart when it cos to other things; you should listen to him. It will be helpful."
She paused and added, "Anyway, it's not for long. Sooner or later, Bai Feng would go to the base and work for Yu Miaomiao. Just gain so experience with his planning and skills and leave everything else behind."
Now that Fox was here with such a tempting offer, Chu Xia would definitely not leave the matter alone. She would send Bai Feng's head on a silver platter if she had to to Yu Miaomiao.
Though she felt that it was quite regretful that her and Bai Feng's relationship would end in such a way, Bai iyue knew that she would rather sell her soul to the devil rather than work for soone like Yu Miaomiao.
When Lei Qian saw the look on her face, he didn't say anything and reached out to hug her. He hugged her tight and said to her, "It will be alright."
"But I didn't need you to hug ," Bai iyue remarked with a raise of her brow. She looked at the man who was hugging her and stated, "There was no need for you to hug ."
"But you looked like you needed a hug."
Bai iyue stopped speaking when she heard Lei Qian's words. Did she? She didn't know. It had been a long ti since she lost hope in humanity. She knew that, other than her parents, no one would care about her. The fact that Lei Qian cared enough to hug her just because she felt slightly lancholic proved that he cared.
Bai iyue closed her eyes and relished the feeling of being hugged before saying to him, "Lei Qian, can you look for another place to stay? I don't feel safe here anymore. I am afraid that if I stay here,, then Yu Miaomiao might target or our child once again. I don't want that to happen. I want a place where we can raise our son without the fear of being hurt or soone trying to hurt him."
