Xie Li: "..."
As much as he would have loved to refute his underling, he knew that the little brother was right. If Lei Qian found out that they had helped Bai iyue, that man would certainly bury them all under six feet in the ground. Alive at that. He wouldn't even kill them.
"Let's go." though Xie Li was scared, he knew that there was no point in worrying about the inevitable. They could only hope that Bai iyue would return ho before Lei Qian noticed her disappearance.
His brothers nodded and then turned to leave.
While Xie Li and the rest returned ho, Pumpkin greedily looked at Bai iyue and Liu i. His eyes seed to be burning with passion as he looked at the two won with lust in his eyes.
Liu i, who was asked to act along by Bai iyue, looked at the man and rolled her eyes in disgust. However, on the surface, she looked at the n in front of her with fear and nervousness as she said to them, "Who are you? Why are you holding guns in your hands? Are you thugs like them?"
After she finished speaking, she didn't forget to tremble as if she were truly scared of the n in front of her.
The man imdiately put away his gun and then smiled at them hypocritically. He said to the two of them, "Don't be afraid; don't be afraid. We are not like those beasts; we are mbers of the soldiers' team who patrol around the city at night and make sure that everyone is safe. We happened to be nearby when we heard the sound of you two screaming, so we hurried down here at once."
"Are you from the base? Did you co here recently?"
"Yes, we ca here after looking for a safe house," explained Liu i. Her voice was soft and waxy as she continued to speak, "But we have no one to look after us. Our parents were bitten by zombies and were later killed. My sister and I have to beg for food on our way to the base. We thought that we would be given a place to stay and a job that would pay with supplies, but turns out that all the job slots are filled."
"We have no place to stay and no supplies in our hands; we can only co out and look for supplies, or else the two of us will die."
Bai iyue nodded and agreed with Liu i. With a troubled look on her face, she said to the n in front of her, "We thought that we would be able to get our hands on so supplies, as there are no zombies in the base, thanks to Miss Yu. But who would have thought that we would run into those beasts?"
Though her words caused Pumpkin's face to turn dark, he still smiled at her and said to her, "You are right. People like them should really be killed when caught—if not for you two ladies, I would have shot them dead." He then paused and said in a voice which was filled with concern as if he understood their condition better than anyone, "Though we cannot take care of you two, we can take you to the lounge where we are staying. There is a heater and warm food; you can fill your stomachs, and after we are done with work, I will take you to the base and let soone take you in."
"Even though it will be a bit problematic, we cannot leave you two won alone."
Liu i nodded and smiled innocently. She said, "That's great. Thank you, oh great sir!" She then turned to look at Bai iyue and said to her, "Sister, isn't this great!? We don't have to wander anymore. We will finally have a place to stay."
Upon hearing the words of her 'sister,' Bai iyue nodded and excitedly said, "Thank you so much, sirs. You are really good people."
When Pumpkin heard the words of the two won, he rolled his eyes. Sure enough, won like these were easier to fool. They had not seen the way of the world and were really stupid. A few nice words, and they would end up lapping anything.
However, he didn't show his disdain on his face and ushered the two won to follow him. After fifteen minutes, he brought them to a hotel, which was the new base of the Tiger Gang. Bai iyue looked at the hotel, which had been surrounded by a high-tech wall and curled her lips as she turned to look at Liu i, who broke the surveillance caras around the street and the front entrance with a flick of her wrist.
Even though the people of the Tiger Gang were nothing but unscrupulous and cruel, they were one of the many pillars that supported the base. If they were wiped clean in just one sweep, Bai iyue knew that Yu Miaomiao would definitely try to find out the culprits because the death of the Tiger Base would put a serious halt to her developnt with so many supplies missing.
"You brought another batch." The guard who was standing outside the door looked at the two won who were blindly following Pumpkin and clicked his tongue. It was not that he felt sorry about the won who were about to be ruined; he just didn't like the thought of cleaning up after Pumpkin.
This man would play around with won and end up killing them most of the ti. When that happened, the job of cleaning up the corpses would land on his head. The guard didn't like that.
And this ti, Pumpkin brought two won, which ant that there would be even more trouble.
"Don't worry," Pumpkin waved his hand and wickedly winked at the guard. "I will make sure that these two are taken care of properly." He liked the two won who were little beauties, so how could he kill them? He was going to have fun with them for a long, long ti.
