Bai iyue chased after Lei Qian for a good fifteen minutes before she decisively gave up on her chase. Not because she was tired, but because the man ran out of the building before she could get hold of him.
When Bai iyue saw Lei Qian running away in his car, a part of her wanted to chase after him, but her stomach was rumbling and she felt rather tetchy; she was worried that if she chased after him on an empty stomach, she might just kill the man when she got her hands on him.
"You better not co back!" She shouted after the car that was driving away, since he wanted to hide; let’s see how long he could hide. After she finished speaking, she turned around on her feet and then headed back upstairs.
When Bai Zhan noticed her going ho, he heaved a sigh of relief. Just now, she thought that his sister was about to kill the father of her own child. It was a good thing that Lei Qian had his wits intact and ran away, or else blood would definitely have been spilt this morning.
"Enough," he said to his second brother when he saw that Bai Jixuan was still laughing. "Do you want to go into hiding just like Master Lei?"
Bai Jixuan laughed a few more tis before shaking his head. He said to his brother, "I don’t. But you have to admit that Yueyue looks really funny and..." he paused before adding, "She is acting around her age after a long ti."
Ever since the incident with Lei Qian happened, their sister had gotten more and more mature. While Bai Jixaun was happy to see his sister growing up, he sotis also hoped that she would act her age. The way Bai iyue usually acted was as if she had seen horrors in her life that no one ever had.
It made his heart ache. He didn’t know how Bai Qingshi had tornted his sister, but he knew her well enough to know that she was not at peace. Sothing kept worrying her, and that wasn’t good.
Bai Zhan parted his lips, but he couldn’t say anything. Because his brother was right, as much as he admired Bai iyue, he hoped that she could sotis take it easy and not push herself so hard.
This was all due to Lei Qian.
No wonder; the wise n often said that a good partner was rather important in one’s life.
Bai iyue had no idea what her brothers were thinking; if she had, then she would have locked them out of the house just like Lei Qian. Fortunately for them, Bai iyue couldn’t see what was going on in their heads, or else they were in for a lot of trouble.
Bai iyue returned ho, and as she was in a bad mood, the first thing she did was to cook sothing nice for herself. Not sothing healthy, but sothing that would ease the anger in her heart.
And what better way was there than to eat?
She imdiately took out a seafood hot pot that she had collected from the restaurant the last ti and then placed it on the induction stove that was lying in the space pocket, waiting to be used.
Once everything was set, Bai iyue took out so sweet potatoes, white radish and bean sprouts from the space pocket, as she was worried about the nutritional value.
She poured everything, including the quality beef, into the pot and waited for it to cook. As for the doors and windows, she sealed them with her abilities. She was not worried about anyone disturbing her, as Bai iyue knew that everyone at ho would try to avoid her.
And her guess was right on point. No one dared to trouble her, even when she stayed in her room and finished such a big pot of seafood on her own. Once she was done eating, Bai iyue burped and patted her stomach, which was half full. As for the leftovers, she packed them up and placed them in the space pocket.
She was not going to share such a good thing with her family, not after they made her angry like this! Humph!
Bai iyue didn’t notice that her temper had beco more and more childish.
She was only focused on cleaning the floor and went to bed, where she searched for sothing that could clean her face. Fortunately, Bai iyue found sothing that could clean even the toughest stain and was 100% safe on skin. Sighing in relief, she bought the cream and used it to wipe the makeup off her face.
After she was done, Bai iyue raised the small mirror on the side of her cabinet and took a look at her face. When she saw that her appearance had returned to her usual self, the weight on her shoulders disappeared.
Only then did she lie back down on the bed and close her eyes to finish her sleep that was disturbed by Lei Qian and his stupid actions.

After staying inside her room for more than half a month, Bai iyue felt like she was about to grow mold on her skin. However, with Mother Bai keeping a really close eye on her, there was nothing that Bai iyue could do other than stay at ho.
One of these days, the family of four sat down to eat. It was already dark, and the weather, if possible, had turned even colder. Their family wasn’t halfway through the al when suddenly there was a shrill female scream that echoed all the way to the penthouse from the third floor as the door was left open for the two grandsons of the Bai family who were playing in the corridor.
All of a sudden, Bai iyue’s two nephews ca running inside just as the noise outside started to grow louder and louder. Even though Bai iyue didn’t go outside, she could sense that the air had suddenly grown tense and chaotic.
