As soon as Bai iyue reached the door, she heard a familiar voice from the other side.
"Open the door; I am here to see my two grandsons."
Mother Feng? Did she not get enough beating the last ti the two of them t? Bai iyue frowned. She couldn’t understand what the woman was trying to do and why she was asking her to open the door such that she could see her two grandsons.
A thought flickered in her head, and Bai iyue frowned harder. Surely, Mother Feng wouldn’t be that shaless, right?
Unexpectedly, as soon as Bai iyue opened the door, Mother Feng tried to walk past her. Seeing this, Bai iyue raised the butcher knife in her hands; she pointed it at the woman and questioned loudly, "Just what do you think you are doing?"
Mother Feng had a plan to rush inside the penthouse and act pitifully in front of the two brats; she was certain that as long as she cried a few tears and sobbed hard enough to make the two feel sorry for her, they would start caring for her. Mother Feng didn’t believe that now that Bai Qianhan and Bai Jiuque had awakened, they would be able to turn a blind eye to her, their grandmother, who was not having an easy ti.
"I ca here to see my grandson. I heard that they are injured and sick, and cannot help but worry about the two of them," replied Mother Feng. Though her voice was polite, she had cursed Bai iyue in her heart countless tis. If Bai iyue had stopped her with her body, she would have pushed her to one side. After all, Bai iyue was pregnant; she wouldn’t dare to put her life at risk.
But who would have thought that this woman would be this crazy!
Who brings a knife when opening the door of their house? She was simply out of her damn mind.
When Bai iyue heard her response, she curled her lips. The fact that her nephews had gotten hurt was no secret and had already spread through the entire building when they were brought back ho by Bai Zhan. But Mother Feng didn’t co to see them yesterday. Compared to her, Father Feng was a bit more honest, even though he didn’t see the two boys.
He left a few dicines, bread and milk bottles that he purchased after exchanging the crystal nuclei that he hunted after dragging his old body to kill zombies.
Bai iyue knew how expensive the dicines for fever were; thus, she appreciated the concern of Father Feng and even relayed this to her two nephews, but what about Mother Feng? She didn’t co to see her two grandsons when they were sick, and now that they had awakened and beco ability users, she shalessly ca to cling to them.
"They are fine. Just taking a rest; you can co later if you want to see them." Bai iyue didn’t want to rip Mother Feng’s face so early in the morning. She had done nothing for her two nephews, but Mother Feng was still the grandmother of Bai Qian Han and Bai Jiuque. Though Bai iyue was aware of her nephews’ dynamics with their mother, aunt and uncle, she had no idea about what kind of relationship they had with Mother Feng.
Thus, Bai iyue thought about first discussing this matter with Bai Qian Han and Bai Jiuque. If they told her that Mother Feng was not close to them, then she would deal with this woman appropriately.
And if they told her that Mother Feng was a bit kind to them, she would allow this woman to stay alive. But that would be the extent and limit of her rcy. Other than that, she would never let Mother Feng approach her two nephews.
But how could Mother Feng allow that? She knew that if she didn’t see her two grandsons today, Bai iyue would definitely not let her see them any other ti. She knew that Bai iyue was lying to her; after all, it was already so late, and those brats were used to waking up early, as her daughter would often send them to collect pigweed up the mountains.
Because of this, the two of them had gotten used to waking up on ti. How could they be sleeping?
"Don’t lie to ," said Mother Feng. "I know that they are awake. I know my grandsons’ habits much better than you, young girl. You better let and let see them. I am their grandmother; you cannot stop from seeing them!"
Bai iyue arched a brow. Oh, how she wished she could slit the throat of the woman who was yamring in front of her, but she couldn’t, not without understanding the weight Mother Feng had in the eyes of her two nephews.
"There is no need to co inside."
Before Bai iyue could say anything, Bai Zhan, who had heard the quarrel, stepped out. He looked at his ex-mother-in-law and then turned to look at his two sons before saying to them, "Your grandmother ca to see you two; do you want to talk with her?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Bai Qian Han and Bai Jiuque turned and looked at the old woman who was standing in front of them. The second their gazes fell on Old Madam Feng, they stiffened and hid behind their father. Even though Mother Feng had never beaten them, she had cursed and scolded them for being a burden and a bastard.
What would they even talk about with this woman who disliked them so much?
This was all that Bai iyue needed to know. She turned to look at Mother Feng, who shivered and then turned to stare at the two boys. She shouted, "Qian Han, Jiuque! It’s , your grandmother. Co here and let take a look at you."
When the two of them didn’t move, Mother Feng gritted her teeth and finally took out the pack of bread that she had brought with her and showed it to them. She said, "Co here, Han Han, Que’er. Look what I brought for you."
