Bai Qian Han and Bai Jiuque, however, didn’t move. It wasn’t that they were heartless, but they were never close to the Feng family, other than their grandfather, who was kind to them without asking anything in return. Unfortunately, their grandfather had to work hard on the farms and couldn’t stay at ho all the ti, which allowed the Feng family to bully the two brothers.
As for the packet of bread? They had enough to eat with their aunt taking care of them. Even their father would bring them many snacks and chocolates to eat when he went out to hunt. Why would they be chard by a pack of bread? They decisively turned to look away.
Bai Qian Han raised his head and looked at his father. He asked, "Can we go inside, Dad? I don’t want to talk with her." Bai Qian Han didn’t even want to talk to Mother Feng, so why would he? When the woman would often call him and his brother a burden who had ruined their mother.
Bai Zhan noticed that his sons had no affection for Mother Feng and nodded.
Bai Qian Han and Bai Jiuque heaved a sigh of relief when they saw that their father had agreed. In the past, their dad would tell them that they should respect the elders and ask them to take care of Mother Feng and their mother, but the children were simple beings. They were kind to those who were kind to them, since Mother Feng and Feng Qing were not nice to them, they didn’t want to be nice to them either.
The two brothers turned around and ran inside the penthouse without looking back at Mother Feng, who was standing outside. She was seething while staring at the two brats who had shown her no face, and turned to look at Bai iyue. She said to her, "Did you fill their heads with so stupid thoughts? They used to respect and care for ."
"They didn’t respect you; they feared you, there is a difference," sneered Bai iyue. She had seen the fear and trepidation that the two brothers had when they were looking at Mother Feng, which showed that the woman had never treated them kindly. She narrowed her eyes at the old woman and said to her, "You should leave while I am still being nice or else don’t bla for not giving you any face."
Mother Feng wanted to quibble, but Bai iyue didn’t give her the chance to; she closed the door on her face, and when Mother Feng tried to knock on it, Bai iyue turned the electric shock feature of the door on. She had turned it off because there were tis when Xiao Wu and the others would co to look for her, and it was quite troubleso when those fools forgot to ring the bell but ended up knocking on it.
Mother Feng didn’t expect Bai iyue to do such a thing. The second her skin made contact with the surface of the door, she was sent flying with a bang. Her body started jerking as smoke started to blow out of her mouth, and her hair was now standing tall.
Bai iyue snickered when she saw the condition of the woman and turned around on her feet before heading back ho. But just as she turned around, her eyes fell on the little bug that was sitting on the wall. She blinked at the sight of the brownish-black insect that was fluttering at the wall. As soon as she saw it, Bai iyue’s eyes widened, and she imdiately froze that thing.
"What’s the matter?" Bai Zhan had not expected Bai iyue to suddenly make a move. Thus, when he felt a sudden gust of cold wind trickle past him, he jolted to one side and turned to look at Bai iyue with a hint of a frown on his face. "Why did you freeze that bug?" He couldn’t understand the actions of his sister anymore.
Bai iyue didn’t reply; instead, she walked over to the bug and broke open the ice shell before digging out the small crystal nuclei from the head of the bug. Bai iyue narrowed her eyes and then turned to look at Bai Zhan before saying, "Get ready; a swarm of flesh-eating bugs is coming."

All of a sudden, the entire building was turned upside down. The small openings and every nook and cranny were filled up. The patients were moved to a room where there were no windows, and even the doors were boarded up.
Mother Bai also rushed around as she closed the windows of the greenhouse and the balconies while muttering incessantly, "Just what is going on? What kind of sin have we committed? First, it was zombies, and now flesh-eating bugs? How are we going to survive if this goes on? I am afraid that at this rate we will all die!"
Bai iyue listened to the mutterings of her mother and continued to stare at the dark cloud that was getting closer and closer. She had arranged for the special bushes that she had purchased from the barter system all over the apartnt floors where her team mbers lived, but she was still worried.
"Should we run away?" Mother Bai asked Bai iyue. "If they are coming here, then we should be moving."
"There is no point; it’s too late." Bai iyue sighed as she pointed at the cloud that was getting closer. "We can’t outrun that." True that these bugs couldn’t break through the tal and concrete walls, but they were quite a hindrance when they attacked soone with that overwhelming number of their kind.
Bai iyue knew very well that they wouldn’t be able to drive past the swarm that was coming their way.
When Mother Bai noticed the dark cloud, she shuddered, as she had not expected it to happen so soon. She turned around and shouted, "Everyone, be careful! The swarm of those flesh-eating monsters is here."
