"Are you the one who sold the jade hairpin the last ti?"
The man didn’t greet Bai iyue and instead went straight to the point. He took out the pipe from his mouth and then exhaled heavily before saying to Bai iyue, "I would like to buy so jade from you and in exchange, you can ask for what you want. As long as I have it in stock, I promise that I will fulfil the barter."
"Your stock?" Bai iyue narrowed her eyes as she felt that this barter was a bit more suspicious than the rest.
"Hey, there is no need for you to look at like that," the man raised his hands in the air. "I am harmless. I might look like this but I don’t an any harm. And by stock, I an—I am the leader of the black market. Unlike the low-ranking ones, I can use my entire stock to barter. Since you have accepted my barter, there must be sothing that you want from my dinsion, right?"
Bai iyue had to admit that this man was really smart. Even though she didn’t say anything, he was able to deduce so much. She nodded and replied, "I want so safety pods, one that can protect soone through a tsunami or earthquake. Of course, if the pods are in good condition, I will give you a good-quality jade."
It was a good thing that she had picked up so many pieces of jade just now. Who would have thought that they would co in handy so soon? Of course, she was not foolish enough to show her cards from the start. She would first see if the pods were worth it or not and only then would she exchange the jade with this man.
King of Thieves arched his brow when he heard Bai iyue’s response. He noticed how Bai iyue seed to be guiding the conversation; from her tone, it was clear if he didn’t bring out decent safety pods, then the quality of jade would certainly match the quality of the pods.

With that said, he took out a small package from his space ring. The pack carried small oval-shaped toys that seed completely useless. That was until the man picked out one at random and pressed the button underneath it.

The oval-shaped toy turned bigger and bigger until it could fit a person and then Bai iyue heard the man say, "Finest safety pods, only used three tis." He raised three fingers and patted the titanium structure with his hand. "I stole them from a rich man who was thinking of buying the latest safety pods but don’t worry. That’s because he wanted to prepare for a teor shower; unless sothing similar is happening in your world, I don’t think that you would need the latest model."
He interlocked his fingers on the table and said to Bai iyue, "Of course, you can test the remaining pods as well; they have all the features that need to be used when in a —"
He was still speaking when Bai iyue snatched the bag from the table and started pressing the buttons.
"What are you doing?" the man questioned, looking stumped.
"Checking."
