Xiang i hadn’t been paying attention to what was happening behind her; thus, the second Bai Xue knocked into her, she ended up staggering. After months of abuse under Yu Miaomiao, she had already turned weak and her body was no different than a skeleton with a layer of skin and no flesh or anything whatsoever. If not for the fact that Bai Feng reached out to catch her, then she would have fallen headfirst on the floor.
Bai Feng looked at the woman who was running as if she was being chased by the third-ranked zombie. He was annoyed by her actions but before he could even say anything to her, Bai Qingshi, who was hiding behind rushed forward and cried in front of Bai iyue, "Yueyue! Yueyue! You have to take first. I am your father; you cannot leave behind. You cannot leave behind!" He was terrified out of his wits. There was actually a rank three zombie chasing after them.
If that thing caught them, then even Bai Feng would not be able to stop it. Bai Qingshi did not want to stay behind; he was not awakened and he was worried that if things went out of control, then these people would leave him behind. Unlike Bai Xue, he was very well aware of how less welcod he was in Bai Feng’s team. If the worst-case scenario happened, then he would certainly be left to sacrifice. He did not want to wait and watch that happen.
Bai Feng was simply furious when he saw the two of them crumbling like that; he pulled his father behind and said to him, "There is no need to be so scared. There are enough defences to hold back the third-rank zombie for now; you do not have to be scared!"
However, Bai Qingshi was way beyond the point where he could understand a thing that Bai Feng was saying. He looked at Bai iyue and said to her, "You have to take with you or ...or else you will be called unfilial!"
Bai iyue almost laughed when she heard Bai Qingshi’s threat. She tilted her head and then said to her supposed father, "Do you feel desperate? Like the world is closing in on you? Rember, this is how I felt when you left alone to suffer back then."
Everyone thought that Bai iyue was talking about the ti when the Bai family left her to fend for herself after drugging her, but only Bai iyue knew that she was talking about the sufferings she went through at the hands of Bai Qingshi and Chu Xia in her past life. Back then, she was on the verge of awakening, and because of that, she ended up getting a fever. The Bai family thought that she was a lost cause and then abandoned her. When she woke up, only Bai iyue knew how she felt.
The fact that she was all alone with zombies closing in on her from all sides. Kicked out of her house after getting humiliated and embarrassed, only Bai iyue knew what kind of feelings she suffered back then. The feeling of being alone and scared was truly terrifying. What a twist of fortune. Back then, she was the one who suffered the agony of being cornered, and now her father, who heartlessly abandoned her, was feeling the sa emotion.
Fox was worried that Bai iyue would waste ti on Bai Qingshi and hurriedly urged her, "Yueyue, we need to go. Wenxuan told that I need to bring you to safety first." She was not going to abandon these people, but she was not going to give them the benefits either.
She calmly turned and walked toward the ice stairs, and Bai Xue turned even more frantic. She tried to chase after Bai iyue. "No! You cannot leave . You have to stay with ...you need to take with you." In her eyes, Bai iyue was soone who had many resources, and she could certainly help them. So what if they wronged her? In the end, they were one family. She should help them out whenever she can.
Seeing this, Bai Feng cursed and then caught her back. He said to her, "You! Co with ."
"Brother, you love the most! You cannot let that woman leave without taking . What if the third-ranked zombie ca to attack us? What will happen to ? I cannot even fight with it?" Bai Xue was crying and screaming; she was looking like a sobbing ss as she tried to get rid of Bai Feng’s grip on her.
"Can you shut up?" Lu Jiangguo shouted at the woman who was making a fuss for no reason. Bai iyue had already said that the defences wouldn’t be breached for another three hours or so. Was there a need for her to be making such a fuss?
He was quite furious with Bai Xue anyway. Because of this woman, Bai Feng had lost his mind and was slowly disappointing the entire team, and yet this woman couldn’t even see what was important and was making a fuss whenever she wanted. "Your mother used her life as a gamble to tie us to you; of course we will keep you safe. After all, we cannot let her gallant sacrifice go to waste, can we?"
