"Stop! Routine inspection!" A Garrison soldier in a rose-colored uniform stopped the convoy preparing to enter Wall Rose.

The lead driver shouted impatiently, "What's this about? Don't you see the Reeves Company emblem? More than half of you soldiers' salaries are supported by our chairman!"

The Garrison soldier looked troubled. The Reeves Company had a very high reputation in Trost District, but this ti the higher-ups had issued a harsh order: no matter who it was, anyone entering Wall Rose had to be strictly inspected.

If any Survey Corps soldiers were discovered, arrest them imdiately!

"Sorry, but we must inspect!"

Seeing this, the driver only muttered a few complaints and let the soldiers carrying muskets conduct the inspection.

Several Garrison soldiers checked the front wagons and confird there were no problems—just normal cargo and food supplies.

At the end, only one carriage remained, one that looked extrely luxurious and very spacious.

A Garrison soldier stepped forward and was about to lift the rear door of the carriage.

A hand suddenly reached out to stop him. The Garrison soldier turned his head in surprise.

"Flegel?" The one stopping him was none other than Flegel, the son of Dimo Reeves.

"There's no need to inspect this carriage, right? Inside are my mother and my sister. My sister is sick—don't disturb them," Flegel said bluntly.

"This… Flegel, I'm afraid that won't do. We've received orders to conduct strict inspections," the Garrison soldier said awkwardly.

Hearing this, Flegel's round face imdiately filled with anger.

He rudely grabbed the Garrison soldier by the collar and roared,

"What do you an by that? Do you think our Reeves Company is just for show? You bastards' salaries are all paid by my old man! Otherwise you'd have been drinking the northwest wind long ago!"

Their dispute drew the attention of others. Caravan guards and so Garrison soldiers gathered around.

"What's going on?" A bearded Garrison officer was also drawn over.

The Garrison soldier imdiately saluted and explained, "Reporting, Captain Doron! %$*s(@"

The Garrison soldier explained the whole sequence of events. Captain Doron's eyes flickered with faint displeasure—just a rchant, yet so arrogant?

"Mr. Flegel, this is a military order. We Garrison soldiers are rely carrying out commands. Besides, it's said there are traces of rebels in the city. If sothing goes wrong, can you bear the responsibility?"

Doron said coldly.

Flegel clenched his teeth and glared angrily at Doron.

"Enough, Doron. Inside the carriage are indeed my sick daughter and my wife." Dimo Reeves, dressed in black formal wear, stepped forward.

"Chairman Reeves." Toward this rchant chairman who rebuilt Trost District, although Doron looked down on him inwardly, he still maintained surface courtesy.

Dimo pulled Doron aside and whispered a few words, and at the sa ti, a jingling purse was discreetly slipped into Doron's pocket.

Feeling the weight of the purse, Doron's gaze drifted.

Dimo's expression relaxed. Sotis, problems that could be solved with money were truly quite nice.

However, Doron's next words made Dimo's face darken.

"Open it. Inspect it!"

Doron gave the order without rcy. The Garrison soldiers who received the command imdiately pushed aside the caravan guards and yanked down the rear door of the carriage.

Looking at Dimo's gloomy expression, Doron smiled and said,

"Chairman Reeves, we're acting under orders. Please forgive us."

Dimo squeezed out a sentence through clenched teeth. "You've worked so hard!"

"Reporting, Captain, inspection complete. No suspicious situation," a Garrison soldier reported.

Doron didn't quite believe it and went to inspect personally.

With the carriage door wide open, the interior was extrely exquisite. Thick blankets covered the floor, and the carriage was large enough to fit two big double beds.

To even get inside, one had to climb several steps.

At this mont, lying on the bed was indeed a little girl of seven or eight years old. Beside her was a well-dressed lady, rubbing a hot towel.

The little girl looked as though she was truly ill, sleeping deeply the entire ti.

Chairman Reeves's wife was inside the carriage caring for her daughter.

"You're soldiers? Why did you barge in here?" Mrs. Reeves questioned the soldiers outside the carriage rudely.

Bang! Before Doron could react, the carriage door was suddenly shut.

Dimo's hand remained on the door as he asked grimly, "You've seen enough. Can we pass now?"

Doron understood that Chairman Reeves was extrely dissatisfied.

So he quickly signaled to open the city gate and let the Reeves Company convoy pass through.

...

"Dad, why are we helping them? Isn't this opposing the Central Military Police?" Flegel sat in the carriage, his tone sowhat worried.

Dimo gazed at the sky for a while.

"We're not helping them—we're helping ourselves. What they said is right. How could the Military Police tolerate a stain existing?"

Inside the carriage behind them, the little girl who had been sleeping suddenly sprang up and excitedly shouted toward under the bed,

"Kira, we've entered the wall! I was very well-behaved—I wasn't discovered pretending to sleep!"

A figure crawled out from under the bed. The black-haired Kira smiled and rubbed the girl's head, praising her, "Very good."

Then, with Mrs. Reeves's help, Kira lifted the thick blanket, revealing a hidden door.

Kira opened the hidden door and shouted into the pitch-black space inside,

"Captain, we've successfully entered Wall Rose."

...

By the window, Erwin, as usual, was flipping through a book.

Bang! The door was suddenly kicked open violently. A squad of Military Police rushed in, with Nile and a Central Military Police officer entering together.

Erwin's expression didn't change, as if he had already expected this.

"Erwin, you are now accused of colluding with Titans to destroy the walls, causing countless civilian deaths. By order, we are arresting you on the spot and detaining all Survey Corps mbers. Seize him!" the Central Military Police ordered rudely.

Nile, beside the Central Military Police, said nothing, but his subordinates cooperated with them to seize Erwin.

Throughout the entire process, Erwin offered no resistance at all, allowing the Military Police to arrest him. As he passed by Nile, he rely cast him a aningful glance.
