[This appeared to be a letter Ursa had hastily written before her disappearance, the handwriting frantic and uneven.

Judging from the contents, it was specifically addressed to Zuko.

The first half contained ordinary words from a mother to her son, telling him to take care of himself and offering various gentle reminders.

The truly crucial part, however, was the latter half of the letter.

That section ntioned Azula.

Ursa's tone suddenly shifted from warmth to coldness, directly calling Azula a monster.

She wrote that Azula had frightened her ever since birth and urged Zuko to keep his distance from his sister.

After reading the letter, even Kahn found it difficult to believe.

Although his interactions with Lady Ursa had been brief, he could not imagine that dignified and gentle woman speaking such malicious words.

For so reason, he instinctively felt that sothing about this was deeply wrong.

Beside him, Azula's expression had beco terrifyingly dark.

The edges of the letter crumpled tightly in her grip, while her body trembled faintly.

Even Kahn could feel the madness radiating from her, almost overflowing uncontrollably.

At the sa ti, thin wisps of smoke slowly began rising from the envelope.

The mont Kahn saw it, he imdiately realized sothing was wrong.

This was clearly firebending spiraling out of control due to emotional instability!

He hurriedly spoke up.

"Don't believe it!"

"There's definitely sothing wrong with this letter!"

Azula paused and slowly turned toward him.

Her eyes resembled those of a bloodthirsty beast.

Kahn was startled for an instant, but he quickly forced himself to calm down and rapidly organized his thoughts.

"The envelope was left in far too obvious a place."

"And this room is spotless, which ans it's clearly been cleaned recently."

"If that's the case, then there's no way the servants who cleaned the room could have missed it."

"That ans soone most likely forged this letter and deliberately wanted it to be discovered."

He was not speaking recklessly.

Now that he carefully thought it through, there truly were many suspicious details.

The more Kahn spoke, the clearer his thinking beca.

"This letter was supposedly written specifically for Zuko, right?"

"But you already told earlier that your mother t with Zuko before she disappeared."

"If she really had sothing to say, she could've simply told him directly."

"There would've been no need to leave behind a letter."

"Besides, your mother would've known her room would be sealed after she vanished."

"And with Zuko's personality, there's no way he would ever force his way in here."

"So this letter definitely wasn't truly written for him."

At this point, Kahn paused briefly before looking directly into Azula's eyes and speaking seriously.

"And lastly…"

"I don't believe your mother would ever say sothing like this."

"Do you rember?"

"The first ti we t, she personally told you were a good child."

Azula listened quietly to every word.

Only after hearing that final sentence did her expression suddenly freeze.

Her emotions slowly began stabilizing.

Reason gradually regained control.

That's right.

Mother personally praised .

She said I was a good child.

She also said she loved .

"…I understand."

Azula slowly regained her composure.

Then she looked at the envelope in her hand with visible disgust.

Flas instantly erupted from her palm, reducing the letter to ashes.

Although so parts of Kahn's deductions would not necessarily hold up under intense scrutiny, the overall direction was correct.

Once she cald down, Azula quickly noticed the abnormalities herself.

Following Kahn's logic, it beca easy to conclude that this letter, which appeared to have been written for Zuko, was actually intended specifically for her.

Its purpose was clearly to drive her into the emotional state she had nearly fallen into monts ago.

To make her lose control.

To push her into madness.

The person who forged this letter understood her psychological weaknesses far too well.

If Kahn had not been there, she might truly have fallen into the trap this ti.

Looking at Kahn beside her, Azula quietly muttered,

"…Thank you."

"What?"

"Hmph."

"Nothing."

Kahn froze briefly before quickly reacting.

A grin spread across his face.

"Were you thanking ?"

"You should say it louder."

"I promise I won't laugh, hahaha!"

"Are you trying to die?!"

Azula's face instantly flushed red as she furiously lashed out at him.

Kahn hurriedly begged for rcy.

"Alright, alright!"

"I'm scared of you!"

"Now's not the ti for jokes!"

"Hmph!"

Azula snorted unhappily, extinguished her flas, and returned to the main issue.

As for the mastermind behind all of this, there was no need to think deeply about it.

She could already guess exactly who it was.

"You've really taught a lesson this ti…"

"…my dear Fire Lord Father."

Azula sneered coldly, resentnt thick in her voice.

Clearly, aside from Ozai, nobody else could have manipulated her emotions to this degree.

Kahn had reached the sa conclusion.

After all, Ozai was currently the greatest villain he had encountered since transmigrating into this world.

Still, hearing Azula confirm it personally made him gasp inwardly.

"This guy's thods are way too ruthless!"

At that ti, Azula's emotional state had already been incredibly unstable.

If she had remained trapped in that condition, she might truly have suffered a complete ntal collapse—or even gone insane.

And this was his own daughter!

Azula, however, did not particularly care about the cruelty of it all.

She was simply irritated that she had been manipulated.

At this point, they still had no clues regarding Ursa's disappearance.

And under the current circumstances, they could not continue investigating further.

The two could only temporarily give up and wait for another opportunity.

After returning ho, Kahn spent a long ti thinking over the incident.

This ti, they had been completely outplayed by Ozai.

As expected of a ruthless man capable of engineering his own father's death and seizing the throne for himself.

But to be this ruthless toward his own children…

What exactly was Ozai trying to achieve?

Suddenly, Kahn recalled the equally suffocating behavior of Ozai's father, Fire Lord Azulon, and instantly felt enlightened.

So it really was a family tradition of cruelty.

"Ah-choo!"

In the distance, Azula, Zuko, and Iroh all sneezed simultaneously, each inexplicably feeling a strange sense of malice.

"I heard you secretly broke into your mother's room and knocked out two guards?"

At the head of the grand hall, behind a curtain of roaring flas, Ozai's face remained hidden within the fire.

Only his low voice erged from the blazing heat, heavy with oppressive authority.

Azula knelt on one knee with her head lowered, her own expression similarly concealed.

Her tone sounded obedient.

"Yes."

"Because I wanted to know why Mother disappeared without saying a word."

"And whether she was truly dead."

At that mont, Ozai's tone subtly changed.

"So."

"Did you find anything?"

"…Nothing."

Azula answered softly, but the atmosphere around her suddenly shifted.

Her body trembled faintly as visible anger and frustration radiated from her.

Only then did Ozai's lips slowly curl upward.

He dispersed the flas before him and personally walked over to Azula.

Then he gently patted her shoulder and smiled.

"I understand that you miss her."

"So I won't bla you."

"But I hope you recover soon, Azula."

"You must rember…"

"You are my greatest masterpiece."

"And I will always remain by your side."

Hearing those words, Azula's emotions seed to calm sowhat.

She slowly stood and leaned into Ozai's embrace.

"Yes, Father."

Ozai stroked Azula's head with satisfaction.

However, the way he looked at her carried no warmth whatsoever.

His gaze resembled that of soone admiring a masterpiece.

Or perhaps a tool that belonged solely to him.

anwhile, hidden from Ozai's view, Azula's expression contained not the slightest trace of affection.

There was only a cold sneer filled with disdain.

What a perfect picture of fatherly devotion.
