After Leia left, Daniel finally went to his bedroom and collapsed onto the bed. He could feel the exhaustion in every muscle of his body—it was honestly a terrible feeling.

Without even realizing it, he basically passed out from fatigue. It didn't take long before the moon gave way to the sun, and sunlight started shining on his face through the window.

"Ugh," Daniel groaned as he woke up, stretched a bit, and went to check on Eva. As expected, she was still asleep.

"That tired, huh?" Daniel raised an eyebrow slightly, but on second thought, it made sense.

He didn't wake her and let her continue sleeping. He went to take a shower, and afterward, headed downstairs to the inn's dining area for breakfast.

Before that, he checked Kayn's room as well, but clearly, he hadn't woken up either. Daniel didn't expect both of them to be this lazy.

Then again, he himself would've liked to sleep more too, but after a certain point, his body just wouldn't let him. After finishing breakfast, he set off toward the Magic Tower.

Naturally, he hadn't forgotten what Leia said last night—that Mr. Atlas wanted to see him. More than that, he was honestly a bit excited to see a Magic Tower for the first ti.

Magic Towers existed even in his own world, but they weren't as advanced or well-equipped as the ones in the Celestial Domain.

So, what exactly is a Magic Tower? If he had to compare it to sothing, the best example would be the Awakened Association. The Awakened Association recruits unaffiliated Climbers from all over the Celestial Domain but doesn't restrict or force them to do anything.

The Magic Tower works similarly, but only for mages. All mages can beco mbers of the Magic Tower and conduct research there. They can even access the tower's magical archives and study magic in depth.

It didn't take long for Daniel to arrive by carriage. In front of him stood a massive spiral tower with at least a hundred floors—an embodint of grandeur.

It was adorned with golden engravings and had incredibly beautiful architecture. Honestly, nothing less was expected from the Magic Tower of Nurald City.

This city's Magic Tower was considered one of the best in the Celestial Domain, although it wasn't the main one.

The central Magic Tower was located on an island that they'd basically turned into their own territory. As far as he knew, that central tower was basically a paradise for mages.

Daniel got out of the carriage, paid the fare, and walked toward the entrance—but before he could go in, two guards stopped him.

"What do you want here?" asked one of the guards, wearing a white-silver uniform that was clearly standard gear, in a hostile tone.

"I'm here to see the Grand Mage," Daniel replied, not too surprised by their presence.

"You kidding ? You think the Grand Mage is soone any random stray dog or cat can just et? Get lost and stop wasting our ti," the second guard said while sizing Daniel up with a sneer.

Every day, many people ca hoping to see the Grand Mage, but most were just obsessed fans. At least they were mages.

This guy in front of them wasn't even that—just a piece of D-rank trash. They couldn't even feel any mana rings from him.

"Excuse ? I think I misheard you," Daniel said, a bit surprised. He hadn't expected them to be this scummy.

"Are your ears broken, idiot? I'm pretty sure I said it loud and clear—get lost," the second guard repeated.

"Hey, don't insult him. If this piece of trash had a brain, would he try to lie to us and take us for fools?" said the first guard, and both started laughing.

"I didn't expect that from you two. I an, I know your mothers, and they're pretty polite," Daniel sighed.

"What do you an?" the second guard asked with a frown.

"I an every night when I fuck them, instead of saying 'harder,' they politely say, 'please, harder.' So I thought you'd be as polite as them," Daniel said with an innocent face.

He didn't enjoy insulting others, but clearly these guys weren't raised right—sotis you have to teach both the students and the teachers.

"What did you just say? I'll kill you with my own hands," murderous intent flared from the first guard, and Daniel was ready to release his aura—but suddenly, a terrifying presence suppressed the guards' killing intent.

"That's enough." The space around them warped, and an old man erged from a rift. Both guards imdiately dropped to their knees.

"Greetings to the Grand Mage," they said, in complete contrast to their proud selves just monts before—now, they didn't even dare lift their heads.

Even for them, seeing the Grand Mage wasn't sothing that happened every day.

"Welco, little friend. I'm sorry I'm late," Atlas looked at Daniel and smiled warmly.

"No problem, sir. I was just having a little argunt with my two new friends," Daniel replied with a chuckle.

"Oh? Two new friends?" Atlas glanced down at the two guards. Honestly, he didn't know who they were—the hiring process wasn't his responsibility.

He had been in the tower just now, talking with one of the advisors, when he suddenly sensed Daniel's aura and ca to greet him. But it looked like the guards had upset him.

"Well, no problem. How about we head inside without wasting any more ti?"

"Of course," Daniel nodded, and Atlas once again tore the space open, entering the rift with Daniel.

The two guards got up after they left, sweat dripping down their faces. It was clear they were scared out of their minds.

And rightly so—they never expected that the boy really did know the Grand Mage. They thought he was just another one of those "maybe" types.

anwhile, Daniel and Atlas had entered the Magic Tower. They appeared directly on the top floor, where Atlas's office and room were located.

"I'm glad you ca, little friend. We didn't get a proper introduction yesterday. I'm Atlas, a Grand Mage and the current head of this city's Magic Tower," Atlas extended a hand to Daniel.

"Nice to et you, Mr. Atlas. I think you already know who I am," Daniel replied, shaking his hand.
