Chapter 125: Bai Ling
Late at night when everyone was resting, Qin An opened his eyes and looked around to see that no one was awake aside from him. But instead of going back to sleep, he gently propped himself up and quietly sneaked outside the room.
The hallway is quiet and only the 24/7 caras were floating around the training camp. Even the staff behind the scenes are asleep because they are not worried about the footage and the caras will record it. If sothing happens, the robots can be the first one to alarm them imdiately.
Qin An quietly walked in a certain direction and didn’t care about the caras following him. He went directly to the direction where Bai Yue’s room was located but before he could reach the door, he abruptly stopped.
Qin An paused for a few seconds before he turned himself in and instead of continuing to where he planned to, he went towards the balcony near the room.
And there... he found soone on the corner squatting and curling himself down while crying silently.
Qin An paused for a mont before he slowly walked towards that soone.
"!!!"
The cry was abruptly stopped and soone quickly raised his head, making the latter’s face reveal to him.
It was the ghost behind Bai Yue squatting in this corner.
When their eyes et and the ghost finally realizes he could see him, the latter’s eyes widen and quickly stand while shakingly taking so steps backwards. It was obvious that he was even more scared to him than to the fact that it was supposed to be him.
This new ghost is very timid, completely different to the previous one he had t. However, what was surprising was that the resentnt around him is darker and deeper.
It ans that the cause of his death is way more complicated and traumatic.
"Who are you?" Qin An directly asked.
The little ghost trembles and looks at him with fear. It was an instinctive reaction from the ghosts after seeing a grim reaper even if they don’t know him after all.
"Y-You can really see ?" The ghost gasped in surprise but Qin an didn’t answer and continued asking.
"Who are you?"
"B-Bai Ling..." The ghost tremblingly answers but it only makes his eyes narrowed when he notices sothing.
"You’re lying." He directly pointed out which made the ghost gasp and quickly shook his head at him.
"N-No!" but the stamr and the anxiety on his face says the opposite. Qin An sighs. He really doesn’t want any other things to complicate him anymore because he already had enough with this continuous troubles.
Qin An raised his hand slightly and was about to conjure a spiritual energy in hopes to let the ghost’s resentnt relieve itself to open up to him but the latter mistook that as he wanted to hurt him so he imdiately shouted anxiously.
"B-Bai Yue!" The little ghost shouted the na nervously. "M-My na is Bai Yue!"
Qin An halted his moves and looked at him. "Bai Yue is inside his room."
The latter shook his head at him and started crying. "N-No, I’m really Bai Yue!" However, the situation made the ghost agitated as he kept on repeating that his na is Bai Yue.
"I-It’s ! It’s really !" The ghost’s face was full of blood and his tears were even red. "It’s ! It’s supposed to be !"
The last words caught Qin An’s attention but when he was about to ask, the ghost’s resentnt suddenly beca tense. The crying suddenly stopped and the grievance on his face changed into hatred and despair.
"T-That’s right! It was ! It was supposed to be !" The ghost shouted and beca hysterical. "He’s a liar! He’s not Bai Yue! I am the real Bai Yue! He stole it from ! He killed , he did this to !"
The next words made his face turn solemn. Bai Yue killed him? No, from what he said, he was the real ’Bai Yue’ and the man inside the room was not?
"I’m going to kill him too! I’m going to let him pay for everything too!" The ghost shouted and was about to lunge towards the room when he quickly shot him with his spiritual energy.
"Ahhh!" The ghost was startled and shouts in pain.
Qin An looked at the ghost coldly and warned him. "Explain everything to before I let you disappear in this world if you plan to create chaos again."
But the ghost looked unwilling and bared his teeth towards him. Qin An tch in annoyance and his fingers ford a formation. A magic circle pops up in the air and he grabs the sword inside. He pointed the edge to the ghost and warned it again.
"Speak honestly."
"I want to kill him!"
"You can avenge yourself later." Seeing that he was firm in rejecting his ideas, the ghost wanted to fight but could not because he knew that it was no use in front of him.
Later, the latter forced himself to calm down and finally decided to tell him about his life before he died.
"I am really the real Bai Yue," the ghost first introduced himself. "The one inside is called Bai Ling, he was my brother." A bitter look flash on his face. "Or to be exact, he was my adopted brother."

Bai Ling was adopted by his Mother when they were still a child. He didn’t know why his Mother did that when their lives weren’t even that great in the first place. His Mother was a mistress and it seems like she was planning sothing because he often saw her practicing as if she would live in a wealthy family soon. She taught herself the etiquette and all that kind of a lifestyle that only a wealthy one can do.
Even he was not excluded and he was forced to learn many things as such a young child.
However, her plans seem to be stuck because of him.
He couldn’t learn. He was unfortunately not born to be skilled or even intelligent. He always does wrong there and all, thus receiving early abuse from her.
As for her adopted son, Bai Ling, he was his exact opposite.
At an early age, Bai Ling is very clever and can do anything that his Mother planned for him. He was quick to learn, move and think like a young master from a wealthy family.
As for his personality, he was even more intelligent. When the latter noticed that he was being pushed out because he has no value, that made Bai Ling things to do better so their Mother would no longer love him.
As an adopted child, it was understandable to do better so he would not be kicked out by the family, yet Bai Ling seems to think and want further than this.
He wants to occupy his position as the son of his Mother.
He likes to act obedient and sweet to others but everyti he faced him, his eyes would always contain malicious intent and showered him with words that shattered all his confidence and well-being at such a young age.
