"I don't have a way to drive away the dragon sharks, but I can use the Heavenly Dao Tower to get you across," Fatty Wa suggested.
In the Crescent Moon Sea, Xiao Tiance nodded in agreent. Though the dragon sharks couldn't be removed, as long as he could safely traverse the sea and reach Haiyue Continent, that would be enough.
Crossing the Crescent Moon Sea
With a faint glow, the Heavenly Dao Tower on Xiao Tiance's head released its power, instantly drawing him inside. In a flash, the thumb sized tower zipped across the waters of the Crescent Moon Sea.
Inside the tower, Xiao Tiance didn't even glance at the mountain of demon corpses piled within the first level.
The tragedies he had witnessed throughout his journey countless horrors that resembled hell on earth had left his heart filled with wrath. Compared to those scenes, the hundreds of demon corpses here couldn't extinguish his deep seated killing intent.
"Fatty Wa, circle the Haiyue Continent," Xiao Tiance ordered.
"Understood, Master," Fatty Wa replied as the tower sped along the coastline.
Fatty Wa knew that Xiao Tiance's visit to the demon clan's territory wasn't just to rescue Gu Yuan and Zhukun it was also to unleash a massacre. The destruction of the Heavenly Dao Sect by the demon clan had left a lasting grudge.
Thus, Fatty Wa increased the tower's speed, weaving nimbly through the Crescent Moon Sea. The dragon sharks, though nurous, didn't detect the thumb sized tower thanks to its small size and extraordinary agility. Unless it physically collided with a shark, it was practically invisible.
Over the next day, Xiao Tiance monitored the landscape outside the tower, noting the demon clan's movents along the coastline.
Arriving at Haiyue Continent
When they finally reached a secluded part of Haiyue Continent's shore, Xiao Tiance erged from the Heavenly Dao Tower and quickly set foot on land.
The mont he stepped onto the continent, an overwhelming surge of demonic energy flooded toward him as if targeting him directly.
Xiao Tiance frowned. The other demon controlled continents he had traversed didn't exhibit this phenonon.
On Haiyue Continent, however, the demonic energy was extraordinarily dense and seed to ho in on him no matter where he moved.
The Special Array Pendant
Activating a special array pendant, Xiao Tiance instantly repelled the demonic energy.
"Master, you always have a way," Fatty Wa sighed in relief, sitting on Xiao Tiance's shoulder.
At that mont, Ling'er, who had been quiet within Xiao Tiance's body, suddenly burst forth and clung to his neck excitedly.
"Master! I can sense my origin energy! It's here!" Ling'er exclaid.
A Surprising Revelation
Xiao Tiance froze in shock. He and Ling'er had traveled through countless regions, but they had never found any trace of her origin energy.
They had even speculated that after the Dou Di powerhouses left the Dou Qi Continent and fell in battle in the Great Thousand World, their origin energy had been absorbed by the Plane's Core, leaving nothing behind.
Now, however, on Haiyue Continent this seemingly remote island Ling'er had finally sensed her origin energy.
"You're certain?" Xiao Tiance asked.
"Absolutely! It's to the east about five thousand kiloters from here. Not just one portion, but two! I can feel it clearly," Ling'er said, her voice trembling with excitent.
"Calm down, Ling'er," Xiao Tiance said with a smile. "If your origin energy is here, we'll retrieve it. But we must tread carefully. Haiyue Continent is crawling with powerful demons, and before we find Gu Yuan and Zhukun, we can't risk exposing ourselves."
"Understood, Master. I was just excited I'll control myself," Ling'er said, regaining her composure.
A Curious Coincidence
Xiao Tiance summoned a spirit map and frowned as he studied it.
The location of Ling'er's origin energy coincided with the Moon God Palace Ruins, the sa place where Gu Yuan and Zhukun were believed to be trapped.
Even more troublingly, it was also the base of the Razor Toothed Demon Clan, one of the major factions on Haiyue Continent.
"Could it really be this coincidental? Ling'er's origin energy, the Moon God Palace Ruins, and the Razor Toothed Demon Clan's headquarters all in the sa place?" Xiao Tiance muttered, his expression darkening.
Seeking Confirmation
Hesitating for a mont, Xiao Tiance released Xiao Yan, Xun'er, Zi Yan, and Huai'en from the Heavenly Dao Glazed Bottle.
"Master/Uncle Tiance/Ancestor," they greeted him.
"Activate the array pendants I gave you. Quickly," Xiao Tiance ordered.
The four complied, and the demonic energy that had begun to close in imdiately dissipated.
"Xiao Yan, bring out the locator jade. We've arrived on Haiyue Continent," Xiao Tiance instructed.
Xiao Yan retrieved the jade and handed it over. Xiao Tiance studied it carefully, and his frown deepened.
A Grim Realization
When Xun'er noticed his grave expression, she asked, "Uncle Tiance, is sothing wrong?"
"Look here," Xiao Tiance said, pointing to the spirit map.
The group crowded around, their faces paling as they realized the implications.
It was becoming increasingly clear: Gu Yuan and Zhukun were likely not trapped in the Moon God Palace ruins as they had hoped.
Instead, they were most likely captives of the Razor Toothed Demon Clan.
"If that's true, things just beca much more dangerous," Xiao Yan said grimly.
"It explains why the locator jade remained intact," Xun'er added, her voice trembling. "If they were in the ruins, the jade might not have worked. But if they've been captured, it ans they're alive but in the hands of demons."
Zi Yan sighed. "Gu Yuan and Zhukun were reckless to co here in the first place. If they've fallen into the Razor Toothed Demon Clan's clutches, it won't be easy to rescue them."
Xiao Tiance nodded, his expression resolute. "We don't have a choice. If they're alive, we'll get them back. And if Ling'er's origin energy is there, we'll take it as well. But we'll proceed with caution. Let's move."
The array pendants indicated that Gu Yuan and Zhukun were within the Razor Toothed Demon Clan's headquarters. While the ruins of the Moon God Palace were also located there, it was impossible for Gu Yuan and Zhukun neither of whom had reached the Heavenly Sovereign level to remain hidden within such a perilous area.
More importantly, the Moon God Palace had been destroyed long before the Haiyue Continent fell to the demonic clans. Over tens of thousands of years, the Razor Toothed Demon Clan had used the area as their base. They had ample ti to explore any remnants of the palace, making it highly unlikely that anything significant remained.
This left Gu Yuan and Zhukun in a dire situation. If they had been lured into the ruins out of ignorance, they were likely either captured or killed.
A Plan of Action
"Uncle Tiance, what should we do now? My father's soul jade has not shattered, which ans he is still alive. Even if he's been captured by the Razor Toothed Demon Clan, we must rescue him," Xun'er said, her tone anxious and determined.
Zi Yan stepped forward, her expression firm. "Teacher, I feel the sa as Xun'er. Since we're already here, no matter what, we must rescue my father and Gu Yuan."
Even though Xiao Yan and Huai'en remained silent, their resolute expressions revealed their agreent with the plan.
Xiao Tiance nodded calmly. "We've co this far, so turning back isn't an option. As I've told you before, rescuing Gu Yuan and the Dragon Emperor is our primary goal. Beyond that, I have only one other purpose to kill as many demons as possible."
Hearing this, Xiao Yan and the others were shocked. While they had witnessed the demons' power firsthand, they hadn't expected Xiao Tiance to be so audacious.
But when they saw the murderous resolve in his calm eyes, they exchanged glances and bowed together. "As you command."
"Good. Given our current speed, we'll rely on Fatty Wa's Heavenly Dao Tower to travel the 5,000 kiloters to the Razor Toothed Demon Clan's headquarters. We should arrive by nightfall," Xiao Tiance said.
"Nightti is when the demons are most active. My plan is to infiltrate their base just before dawn and locate Gu Yuan and the Dragon Emperor. If any of you are discovered by the demons, eliminate the threat imdiately. If you encounter a demon emperor and cannot escape, crush these pendants."
Xiao Tiance distributed purple red array pendants to each of them. "These pendants are connected to a grand array I prepared before we landed on Haiyue Continent. Crushing one will activate the array and shroud the entire continent in its power. At that point, it will be a fight to the death either we annihilate the demons or we fall here."
The group nodded solemnly. None of them were cowards; if they were afraid of death, they wouldn't have accompanied him to the demon clan's territory.
Unlocking Huai'en's Devourer Bloodline
Xiao Tiance's gaze fell on Huai'en.
"Huai'en."
"Teacher," Huai'en responded imdiately, bowing respectfully.
"Your Devourer Bloodline it's ti to unseal it," Xiao Tiance declared, raising his hand and pressing a finger against Huai'en's forehead.
In an instant, Huai'en felt his blood surging, as if a shackle within him had been broken. A primal hunger to consu and devour everything around him rose from the depths of his being.
"Teacher, this…" Huai'en was both excited and incredulous.
"When we first t in Qingshan Town on the Dou Qi Continent, I saw through your bloodline at a glance. You were desperate to survive, so I allowed you to follow , though I placed a seal on your Devourer Bloodline to prevent it from overwhelming you. Over ti, your talent proved exceptional, and you beca my third disciple after Min'er and Ling Yun."
"Even with the seal partially lifted, you reached the pinnacle of the Earth Sovereign realm. That alone shows the terrifying potential of the Devourer Bloodline."
Xiao Tiance's voice turned serious. "Now, however, we face a life and death battle. It's ti to fully unleash your bloodline. Use it freely in this land of demons, but guard your mind do not let the demonic energy corrupt you."
Huai'en knelt, his voice resolute. "Yes, Teacher. I will not fail."
As Huai'en's bloodline fully awakened, a dark, oppressive aura surged from his body. Even Xiao Yan, Xun'er, and Zi Yan, despite their strength, were awed by the sheer power radiating from him.
"So this is the full power of the Devourer Bloodline," Zi Yan murmured, astonished.
"Enough. Stick to the plan," Xiao Tiance instructed, motioning for Fatty Wa to absorb them into the Heavenly Dao Tower.
Inside the Razor Toothed Demon Clan's Headquarters
anwhile, within the Razor Toothed Demon Clan's base, a Late Mystical Demon Emperor sat at the head of a large stone hall. His muscular body seed ready to burst, and his most striking feature was his tusks two long, ivory like fangs that glead with a cold, nacing light and reeked of blood.
Surrounding him were other demons with similar appearances, though their tusks were slightly shorter.
"Fools!" the demon emperor roared, slamming a hand on the stone table and shattering it. "You've had this much ti, and you still haven't found those two rats? When the clan leader erges, how will we explain this failure to him?"
The other demons remained silent, their expressions grim.
"Those humans cannot have gone far. The Moon God Palace ruins are vast, but there's no way they could have survived there without us noticing. They must still be within our territory. Find them or face my wrath."
The demons nodded fearfully and scrambled to obey.
Xiao Tiance's Resolve
As the Razor Toothed Demon Clan mobilized, Xiao Tiance and his group approached their territory, cloaked in the shadows of the Heavenly Dao Tower.
"Huai'en," Xiao Tiance said quietly within the tower. "Prepare yourself. Your first true battle with the Devourer Bloodline begins here."
