"Don't worry," Mo Yu comforted. "Since our clan leader's whereabouts are unknown, that at least ans he's still alive. Once you and I are strong enough, we'll make sure Yun Lan Sect pays for this!"
Though Mo Yu actually knew where Xiao Zhan was, it wasn't the ti to reveal it, so he held back.

Xiao Yan nodded solemnly. To him, Yao Lao was as important as his father, and he wouldn't allow his teacher to face any risk.

As he spoke, a pair of slender, graceful legs flashed through Mo Yu's mind. It was about ti to et his fiancée. Moreover, the cultivation environnt at Jia Nan Academy would allow Mo Yu to gradually absorb the imnse Thunder Soul energy feed within him, giving him ti to solidify his power before heading to the Central Plains.
Hearing Mo Yu's suggestion, Xiao Yan nodded in agreent; leaving Jia Ma Empire, Jia Nan Academy indeed seed the best choice.
After making their decision, Mo Yu studied the map of Jia Ma Empire in his mind and quickly planned their route.

Thus, Mo Yu and Xiao Yan had to constantly fend off attacks. Fortunately, unlike in the original story, Mo Yu's presence had amplified the Thunder God Fla Lotus's destructive power against Yun Lan Sect.
Due to the sect's strained resources and the injuries caused by the thunder fire lotus, they sent fewer experts after Mo Yu and Xiao Yan, making their journey easier.

This fortress would be the final barrier between Mo Yu, Xiao Yan, and freedom from Jia Ma Empire.
