"Mo Yu, are you interested in the Life Devouring Pill?" She Lao's raspy voice broke the silence as he observed Mo Yu's enthusiasm.
"Mm, the Life Devouring Pill is a Grade 7 pill, a rare and valuable item. Since I've co across it, I shouldn't let it slip away," Mo Yu replied with a light smile.
In Mo Yu's view, the Life Devouring Pill was a unique pill, but labeling it as Grade 7 seed sowhat forced. After all, other Grade 7 pills, such as the Transformation Pill or Yin-Yang Mystic Dragon Pill, had miraculous properties.
But the Life Devouring Pill only enabled a Da Dou Shi to advance quickly to Dou Wang, and it did so by consuming life force.

With a respectful bow, the attendant retreated.
In the main hall, Mo Yu saw ng Yang, looking anxious. Beside him stood a scarred man, catching Mo Yu's attention as his silver eyes narrowed slightly.
The scarred man appeared to be in his thirties, with half his face marked by scars, giving him a sharp and intense aura.
As he saw the man, mories of the Earth Fla Auction from a few days ago resurfaced.
The Sword of Death, Qiu Shui!
This was the sa swordsman who had bought the Ice-Fire Duality Sword at the auction half a month ago.
Seeing Mo Yu approach, ng Yang hurriedly stepped forward, wiping the sweat from his brow as he respectfully addressed him, "Master, this is Qiu Shui, the renowned swordsman of the Black-Corner Region. He has co today..."

Qiu Shui hadn't paid much attention to Yuan Manor's recent rise; in the Black-Corner Domain, new factions erged as frequently as grains of sand, and many faded just as quickly. Yet, seeing such a young person as Yuan Manor's master and a weapon refining expert stunned him.
Even if Mo Yu had begun forging from birth, it was hard to believe he could refine a weapon as refined as the Ice-Fire Duality Sword. Qiu Shui's doubt was evident.
Noticing his suspicion, Mo Yu ignored it, calmly sitting at the head seat and sipping his tea. "Master Qiu Shui, I believe this isn't our first eting, is it?"
Qiu Shui froze, his brows knitting together in thought. "You're the one in the black robe from the Di Yan Auction House?"
Qiu Shui did recall the mysterious black-robed figure, as the person's unique aura left a strong impression. Now, seeing Mo Yu, that sa aura resurfaced in his mind.
"Heh, I'm surprised you rember , Master Qiu Shui," Mo Yu replied with a slight smile. "My real na is Mo Yu. I've only recently co to the Black-Corner Domain. May I know the purpose of your visit today?"
At this, Qiu Shui's expression grew somber. After a long pause, he finally said gravely, "If you truly are the one who forged the Ice-Fire Duality Sword, then I do have a matter where I need your help, Master Mo."
"Oh?" Mo Yu raised an eyebrow, his expression thoughtful. "What assistance does Master Qiu Shui require from ?"
Qiu Shui didn't imdiately reply. Instead, he reached into his storage ring, and in an instant, a blue and red longsword radiating intense ice and fire energy appeared in the hall.
Sensing the familiar aura, Mo Yu stood up quickly. But when he saw the nurous cracks marring the blade, he paused, astonished.
"This is... the Ice-Fire Duality Sword. How did it end up like this?"
Noticing the extensive damage, Mo Yu frowned. The Ice-Fire Duality Sword, a fourth-tier weapon, should be incredibly resilient—even a Dou Ling wouldn't easily harm it. Observing the cracks, he wondered what kind of fierce battle had caused such severe damage.
"A few days ago, I crossed paths with an old foe, a one-star Dou Wang. Although I managed to drive him away, the Ice-Fire Duality Sword suffered significant damage in the fight," Qiu Shui explained simply, a trace of sadness crossing his usually stoic face as he gazed at the battered sword.

Even at the peak of Dou Ling, to fight a Dou Wang and hold his own spoke to Qiu Shui's terrifying strength, justifying his reputation as a master swordsman known throughout the Black-Corner Domain as the Deadly Sword.
A thought sparked in Mo Yu's mind, and he began to consider recruiting Qiu Shui.
"Master Mo, if you can repair the Ice-Fire Duality Sword, I would be eternally grateful." Qiu Shui quickly hid the sorrow in his eyes, his face returning to its usual calm as he cupped his fists respectfully.
After examining the blade carefully, Mo Yu smiled faintly. "Though the Ice-Fire Duality Sword is badly damaged, it's not beyond repair. However..."
"Oh? You really can repair it?" Qiu Shui's normally impassive face showed a hint of urgency as he looked at Mo Yu. "But... what? If Master Mo can restore the blade, I can offer even a million gold coins."
Surprised by the offer of a million gold coins, Mo Yu thought that was enough to purchase an entirely new sword. Clearly, Qiu Shui held deep feelings for his weapon.
With a shake of his head, Mo Yu chuckled. "I don't need money."
Qiu Shui frowned. "Then what is it you require, Master Mo?"
"If Master Qiu Shui cherishes the Ice-Fire Duality Sword so dearly," Mo Yu's voice echoed with a playful tone, his fingers interlocked, "why not join my Yuan Manor?"
This proposal left Qiu Shui montarily speechless.
