"Why didn't the Mo Gang invite us from 'Moon Spirit' to help deal with the Storm Wolf pack? Could it be that you look down on us ladies?"
Xiao Yu approached Mo Yu, her long legs gleaming attractively under the sunlight, a faintly resentful look on her face.
As Mo Yu's fiancée, she didn't want to be just a woman standing behind her man. Ever since he had given her cultivation techniques and dou techniques, she had been training hard to improve herself.
She'd only been in the Inner Academy for a year, but with her current strength, she was considered above average among the other inner disciples. In a short ti, she might even be able to compete on the Strong Lists.
This was a huge improvent for soone who was once just a young lady from a minor clan in Wu Tan City.
However, Mo Yu hadn't even inford her of the Mo Gang's plan to attack the Storm Wolf pack. Instead, she had only heard about it through her own leader. It was inevitable that she felt a bit disappointed and disheartened.
Seeing her expression, Mo Yu paused, then realized what was bothering her. He patted her head with a gentle smile.
"The strength of Moon Spirit is widely recognized in the Inner Academy. How could I look down on you? But, Yu'er, the Storm Wolf pack isn't easy to deal with. Even I don't have a foolproof plan to keep everyone safe. If sothing went wrong and Moon Spirit mbers got hurt, wouldn't that betray everyone's trust?"
"Junior Mo Yu, I must disagree." A cool voice chid in from the side—Han Yue, who said, "The Storm Wolf pack may be strong, but since you're taking the initiative to attack, I assu you've found a way to deal with them.
"Besides, while Moon Spirit's mbers are won, none of us are re ornants. If we're in the Inner Academy, it's because we can handle ourselves. Taking care of a few ordinary Storm Wolves is well within our abilities.
"What's more, we're not helping the Mo Gang just as a favor to Yu'er. When the Mo Gang was selling Cold Jade Beads, you gave all Moon Spirit mbers a 20% discount, and that's a kindness we rember deeply.
"Now that the Mo Gang needs assistance, how could Moon Spirit turn a blind eye? It's not only Yu'er's wish but also the sentint of everyone in Moon Spirit."
"That's right! Sister Han Yue is right. Moon Spirit may be all won, but we understand gratitude and repay kindness. When Mo Gang needs a helping hand, Moon Spirit is here without hesitation!"
"Exactly! Not to ntion that Mo Gang's leader's fiancée is a Moon Spirit mber. Our two groups should support each other in tis like these. It wouldn't be right to exclude Moon Spirit from sothing this important."
"Hehe, I didn't realize Mo Gang had so many handso guys. Once we've dealt with the Storm Wolf pack, could Leader Mo Yu perhaps introduce us to a few eligible bachelors?"
Chatter and laughter filled the air as the many beautiful Moon Spirit mbers voiced their thoughts. It was clear that helping the Mo Gang wasn't just Xiao Yu or Han Yue's decision; it was a collective desire from everyone in Moon Spirit.
Seeing this, Mo Yu was surprised. He hadn't expected that a casual 20% discount given to Moon Spirit would result in such gratitude.
Of course, another unexpected benefit stood out to him.
After Moon Spirit's arrival, the morale within the Mo Gang skyrocketed. After all, who wouldn't be motivated by the presence of elegant won—especially these admired "goddesses" from Moon Spirit? Having the favor of these won filled the Mo Gang mbers with pride.
The thought of being admired by their "goddesses" and working together brought a renewed sense of identity and loyalty to Mo Gang. It also made them look up to Mo Yu even more.
In fact, so students who previously weren't interested in joining any faction began to reconsider. Joining the Mo Gang might not be a bad idea if it ant a chance at winning a beauty's heart...
After a mont of reluctance, Mo Yu finally agreed to Moon Spirit's request with a helpless smile, unable to refuse their enthusiasm.
Despite being composed of all female students, Moon Spirit's strength was undeniable. Aside from Han Yue, who was a six-star Dou Ling, there were three other Dou Ling mbers, while the remaining twenty won were mostly at the level of Da Dou Shi. Moon Spirit's power wasn't much weaker than the White Gang Gang.
Moreover, with Moon Spirit's stunning mbers joining the fight, Mo Yu noticed an imdiate surge in the Mo Gang's morale. This alone was a worthwhile outco.
"In that case, I'll have to trouble Sister Han Yue and all of Moon Spirit," Mo Yu said, gently holding Xiao Yu's smooth, fair hand and smiling at Han Yue and the Moon Spirit mbers behind her.
"Long live the leader!"
Even before Han Yue and the others could respond, Mo Gang's male mbers were already cheering loudly.
In nature, males love to show their strength in front of females—and evidently, humans are no exception.
Mo Yu shook his head and then instructed his group, "Moon Spirit is our honored guest, so during the fight, make sure to watch out for them."
"Don't worry, Boss! We won't let any Storm Wolf lay a claw on our Moon Spirit sisters!"
The Mo Gang mbers thumped their chests with determination, echoing their promises loudly.
Seeing this, Mo Yu couldn't help but roll his eyes. Their enthusiasm was even greater than when he had distributed weapons to them.
With spirits high, the Mo Gang, Pan Gate, and Moon Spirit forces quickly assembled, exuding a formidable aura in the square.
Though their combined forces numbered only around 150, they represented nearly one-sixth of the Inner Academy's students, including over a dozen Dou Ling experts and a hundred Da Dou Shi.
If this force was placed in the Jia Ma Empire, it could rival the three great clans and even surpass the Yun Lan Sect in potential.
After all, every person here was a genius of Dou Qi Continent, each possessing limitless potential...
In the dense mountains, lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see, like an endless ocean of green. Standing amidst it, the sight of colossal waves of trees swaying with the wind was awe-inspiring.
Suddenly, the sound of sothing cutting through the air could be heard. A figure streaked through the sky from the distance, his wings vibrating slightly as he hovered in mid-air. Glancing down at the vast expanse of forest below, the young man was montarily stunned by the boundless wilderness outside the Inner Academy. In a way, this forest rivaled even the magical beast mountain range that spanned the Jia Ma Empire.
After scanning the surroundings, he heard fierce roars of high-ranking magical beasts from the eastern side of the forest, causing him to frown and point westward with his right hand.
Following his signal, a tall, slender mber of the Mo Gang nodded and relayed the correct route to the main group as instructed.
Seeing this, Mo Yu breathed a sigh of relief. The Inner Academy's wilderness truly lived up to its reputation as a place that even the elders avoided. The high-ranking magical beasts here were indeed nurous.
Within just half a day of venturing into the deep mountains, Mo Yu had already sensed two sixth-rank magical beasts' presences and five or six fifth-rank ones.
Fortunately, Mo Yu's soul power was now exceptionally strong, allowing him to detect these powerful magical beasts from a distance and evade them in advance.
Otherwise, if they accidentally trespassed into the territory of a formidable beast, even if the three factions managed to escape, they'd likely suffer heavy losses.
This was a scenario Mo Yu wanted to avoid at all costs.
Pan Gate and Moon Spirit had trusted him enough to lend their aid, so it was Mo Yu's responsibility to bring them all back safely to the academy.
Thus, he personally acted as a scout along the way, carefully guiding the group to avoid these dangerous beasts.
In the silence of the forest, the large group moved cautiously, their vigilant gazes sweeping the shadows among the trees, hands gripping their weapons tightly, ready for any sudden encounter.
Since they were all geniuses gathered at Jia Nan Academy, even if this was their first collaboration, the three factions managed to maintain basic coordination. A simple exchange of glances could communicate signals of danger or safety to one another.
"Boss, you're here!"
As the group walked in silence, soone glanced up and, seeing the silver figure in the sky, called out in excitent.
"Mm, stay vigilant and be careful," Mo Yu replied, patting the Mo Gang mber on the shoulder before retracting his Purple Cloud Wings with a slight smile.
"Yes, Boss!" the Mo Gang mber responded enthusiastically.
After giving so words of encouragent to his subordinates, Mo Yu made his way to the center of the group. Looking at Xiao Yan, who wore a serious expression, he asked, "Cousin Xiao Yan, how are the injured doing?"
Before the group entered the deep mountains, things were relatively calm. However, not long after venturing into the depths, a small-scale magical beast attack demonstrated the dangers lurking within.
The attackers were several third-tier magical beasts called Red Fire Centipedes. These beasts were common in the mountains, fire-attribute creatures with flas carrying toxic poison. If left untreated within an hour, those poisoned would suffer internal burns from the fire poison, leading to death.
The ten Red Fire Centipedes, concealed in the treetops, struck like lightning, easily injecting their poison into a few students below. Instantly, these strong students fell to the ground, writhing in intense heat.
Outraged, the group fought back, and within monts, they managed to kill the third-tier beasts.
Once the centipedes were eliminated, the poisoned students were quickly taken to the back of the group, where Xiao Yan personally expelled the fire poison from their bodies.
Mo Yu was extrely grateful; though he could have removed the poison himself, he was busy leading the group and guarding against beast attacks. Xiao Yan and the mbers of Pan n proved invaluable to Mo Gang, allowing Mo Yu to proceed without worry.
"There's no need to thank , Cousin Mo Yu; this is our responsibility," Xiao Yan replied with a lighthearted smile. He and Mo Yu had grown up together, regarding each other as close family.
Now that Mo Yu needed help, Xiao Yan naturally provided it wholeheartedly.
Hearing this, Mo Yu's lips curved slightly, saying nothing further. Perhaps the two of them, being both family and confidants, battle companions and rivals, shared an unspoken bond.
After the Red Fire Centipede attack, the group beca much more cautious. However, deep within the beast-infested mountains, avoiding all danger was impossible.
In less than 500 ters, the group faced three more waves of beast attacks. Fortunately, with the strength of Mo Gang and their Swift Shadow Boots and Guardian Armor, they repelled the attacks, suffering only minor injuries.
To find the territory of the Storm Wolves, as described by Zi Yan, Mo Yu led the group through the mountains for nearly half a day.
Luckily, his search wasn't in vain. Around midday, after weaving through the dense forest, they finally reached the place Mo Yu had been looking for.
This was a gorge flanked by two steep mountains, where the narrowness of the terrain created fierce winds. The further they ventured, the stronger the gusts, especially near the center, where the wind was so intense it nearly tore their clothes off.
As they arrived, deafening howls filled the air, echoing from the depths of the gorge like thunder.
"Awooo..."
"Awooo..."
"Awooo..."
"What powerful howls! Are those Storm Wolves? Judging by the sound, there must be at least a dozen!" Lin Yan, standing at the front of the group, comnted in surprise.
"Yes, those are indeed Storm Wolves. The howls are likely from scouts detecting our presence, warning the pack of our approach," Han Yue replied, her face tense.
"Haha, what's there to fear? With Boss Mo handling the Wolf King, the rest are ours to take care of. I, Old Qian, will lead the charge; you all just follow behind!" Qian Mo laughed heartily, his jiggling fat exaggerating his comical appearance in the strong wind.
Seeing Qian Mo's antics, Xun'er covered her mouth, giggling. "I wonder how Cousin Mo Yu managed to enlist the help of two top-ten-ranked students."
"It's not just Lin Yan and Qian Mo. Mo Gang's overall strength is impressive; several of the squad leaders are Dou Ling, and even ordinary mbers are mostly Da Dou Shi," Xiao Yan said with a hint of lancholy. "Cousin Mo Yu has only been in the Inner Academy for a few months, yet he's built a force several tis stronger than the Xiao Clan. Father and Grandpa Mo would be thrilled to know this."
Seeing his sorrow, Xun'er pressed her lips together but said nothing, rely holding Xiao Yan's hand tightly.
At the head of the group, Mo Yu was focused on the task ahead. Hearing the howls, his silver eyes sharpened as he looked into the valley's depths.
In the dark gorge, lights suddenly appeared like lanterns in the distance. At the sa ti, ominous auras seed to awaken, descending upon the gorge.
As these lights approached, massive Storm Wolves with bloody jaws erged. Mo Yu realized that the lights were nothing more than the cunning glints in the wolves' eyes.
Seeing the hundreds of Storm Wolves spread across the mountainside, Mo Yu murmured to himself, "So... this is the territory of the Storm Wolves."
