Lin Nian had always been easily worked up, especially about matters she cared about most. So even though class hadn’t started yet and many students were chatting in low voices, her tone was still a bit high-pitched and shrill. Many people heard her.
Even Chen Feng, who had just returned to his seat, frowned and glanced over. Clearly, he had also heard what Lin Nian said.

Qin Jiao knew what Lin Nian was worried about. While she normally enjoyed getting a rise out of Lin Nian, seeing the girl’s anxious gaze, she simply smiled and shook her head. "You can rest assured, I have zero interest in Chen Feng."
Zero interest in Chen Feng. Zero interest... in Chen Feng.
The surrounding students all had strange looks on their faces. A few couldn’t resist turning their heads to look at Chen Feng.
If Chen Feng had been frowning a mont ago, now his eyebrows were practically knitted together.
The ballpoint pen in his hand was on the verge of snapping.
It was hard to tell if he was more embarrassed about being spoken of like that in public, or more humiliated and enraged at being disdained by Qin Jiao.
Shen Yi sneered inwardly. ’My Jiao Jiao would never be interested in an idiot like Chen Feng. His grades are already tanking just because of his mother’s drama.’
’And on top of that, he let himself get so easily sweet-talked by that Lin Nian.’
At the sa ti, Shen Yi felt a bit of contempt for his past self. ’How did I let myself be outdone by soone with no future like him?’
He spoke coolly to Qin Jiao. "Qin Jiao, shall we get back to that problem? I have a feeling this type of question might appear on the college entrance exam. As for everyone else, just ignore them. They’re nothing but clowns putting on a show."
Qin Jiao suppressed a laugh and nodded. "Alright, let take a look at this problem."
Lin Nian was so angry she was trembling. "Shen Yi, who are you calling a clown?"
Shen Yi replied, "You really have to ask? How can you be this stupid? Did you just guess on all your exams? Chen Feng might be a treasure in your eyes, but what is he in anyone else’s? Is he even worthy of Qin Jiao? He can’t even compare to my little finger. So don’t worry. Even if Qin Jiao were to fall for , she would never fall for him."
Lin Nian: "..."
Everyone: "..."
As for Qin Jiao, when she’d heard Shen Yi dissing Lin Nian and mocking Chen Feng a mont ago, she hadn’t really thought anything of it. After all, Lin Nian really was annoying.
But when she heard the last part of Shen Yi’s tirade, Qin Jiao was stunned. She stared at Shen Yi in astonishnt.
’This guy... What on earth is he saying?!’
However, the first person to lose their composure to anger was Chen Feng.
He strode over, his face dark. Stopping in front of Lin Nian, he growled, "Will you ever stop?"
"Ah Feng, I..."
Mortified and furious, Chen Feng finally snapped. He grabbed Lin Nian by the wrist and bolted out of the room.
Since class was about to start, the hallway was empty. Chen Feng dragged her to a corner of the stairwell, then forcefully flung her away. Lin Nian’s back slamd against the wall.
She winced in pain, her expression bewildered. "Ah Feng, what’s wrong with you? That really hurt."
"Lin Nian, why do you keep saying those things in front of Qin Jiao? Don’t you know how humiliating that is for !"
His mother made him feel humiliated, and now, his girlfriend was making him feel even more so!
