Gong Jiaming and Gong Jiaxin really feel that ever since Zhang Lan was hospitalized, their days have beco a bit beyond their control.

Previously, every ti they had a break, they would stay at their grandpa’s house for a while. It wasn’t just because there were many children there and they could find playmates, but also to save so money for their family.

Not to ntion that ever since their grandpa retired and returned to the countryside, they would imdiately go to his house whenever there was a break and it was impossible for them to co back before school started.

Unexpectedly, shortly after they returned to the city to see their grandmother, their dad suddenly went back to their grandpa’s house and even asked them to go back and study.

Gong Jiaxin was dumbfounded. Her grades were good, and she never thought that during sumr vacation, she would need to revise her lessons. What was going on?

Gong Jiaming was even more straightforward, "I don’t want to."

"Now it’s sumr vacation, it’s ant for playing." Gong Jiaming confidently expressed his opinion, "My teacher said my grades have improved."

"Even big cousin used to fail his studies and nothing happened, why does he get to not study?" Gong Jiaming rembered what his elder brother said back then, and felt all kinds of envy. Why, when it cos to his studies, isn’t there such a good thing?

Gong Jiaming truly regrets all kinds of things. If he could express his birthday wish, it would probably be not wanting to attend classes.

Gong Zhuang knew that his son used to be close to Gong Xiaoyu, but later, after having a fallout with Gong Qiang, he cut off contact between his child and his brother’s children.

Unexpectedly, while he was not paying attention, his son actually listened to Gong Xiaoyu’s theory, "He doesn’t study and is doing well now?"

"Are you planning to learn from him?" Gong Zhuang glared fiercely at his son. He certainly doesn’t want his hard work and bitter toil to ultimately result in raising a prodigal son.

Although Gong Jiaming was young, he wasn’t stupid. He could sense his father’s displeasure.

Quickly shaking his head, "I didn’t, I didn’t."

"Good that you understand." Gong Zhuang stared at his son for a long ti, "This ti, go back and have a good talk with your sister Ni Zi."

Oh, it’s with Gong Ruini again. Gong Jiaming genuinely wants to wail; although this sister is very calm and would patiently listen to him ramble, she’s really impressive, almost in fifth grade now.

"I don’t want to go back." Gong Jiaming indicated that if he went back this ti, it definitely wouldn’t be a good ti. Perhaps his dad would force him to study hard, which for soone who always adheres to the belief that passing exams is enough, really makes life unbearable.

Not going back? Gong Zhuang chuckled, "Do you think you have the right to bargain with ?"

"Quickly pack your clothes. If you don’t go back, you know what I would do." Gong Zhuang didn’t mind his son going back to complain to his wife; he was really not concerned at all.

Even though Gong Jiaming wanted to plead, hearing what his dad said, he could only obediently go back to their room to pack.

Seeing her brother already returning to the room, Gong Jiaxin could only reluctantly return to her room as well. Although she and Gong Ruini were in the sa grade, Ruini was three years older, and her grades were so good that Gong Jiaxin really didn’t want to chat much with her sister, whose results are outstanding.

It’s not that Gong Ruini was bad, but Gong Jiaxin just felt an unusually huge pressure.

Father Miao watched the whole scene from the side, and even when his grandchildren looked at him for help, he acted as if he didn’t notice. While he was a good grandpa in front of the children, bringing them back was definitely for good education for them.

"Planning to have your second brother’s kids teach them?" Father Miao admitted Gong Ruini’s results were good, but no matter how good their grades were, they’re not teachers. It would really be quite hard if they were to tutor Jiaming and Jiaxin.

Tutoring? Gong Zhuang chuckled, "That’s what I thought, but on second thought, I decided against it."

Luckily, he didn’t have that idea; Father Miao relaxed a bit upon hearing his son-in-law’s reconsideration. Forcing Ruini to teach Jiaming would indeed not be fun.

Seeing his father-in-law relieved, Gong Zhuang suddenly realized that there were so things he hadn’t told him. Otherwise, he definitely wouldn’t have had this expression.

"Dad, I would actually be happy if Ni Zi and the others are willing to give lessons to Jiaming. Previously, they helped greatly improve an entire class’s final exam results because of Ni Zi’s tutoring." Although his elder brother said Zhao Gang’s son’s contribution helped too.

However, in Gong Zhuang’s view, the credits were largely due to his niece. Improving a class’s average score wasn’t easy.

Father Miao originally thought Gong Zhuang was trying to improve relations with Gong Tao, which he considered necessary.

Not to ntion Gong Tao had now managed to get into college on his own ability, and the friendship with Zhao Gang was worth keeping intact.

"I heard that when your brother’s family was in Beijing, Ni Zi and the others stayed in a courtyard with the family." Though plenty of people have been exonerated, reclaiming what once belonged to them isn’t an easy task.

No matter if they reclaid the ancestral ho during this period or just stayed there all along, it wouldn’t have been possible without so connections.

After hearing about this last ti, Father Miao kept it in mind. In a small town, accomplishing anything is already hard, let alone in Beijing.

Gong Zhuang didn’t understand why Father Miao would bring this up now, but he still nodded, "Yes."

"Get closer to your second brother; his future prospects won’t be bad."

"And make sure Jiaming and Jiaxin stay in contact with your niece and her family."

Father Miao didn’t need to say this; Gong Zhuang already had it in mind. Nonetheless, seeing his father-in-law offering all sorts of advice truly excited him.

Regardless of his age, nobody in his family had talked to him about these matters, but once he married Miao Cuihua, his father-in-law would sotis offer tips.

"Thank you, Dad. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely maintain good relations with my second brother." Previously, Gong Zhuang would ponder which family had the best connections before associating with them, but now he only wanted to focus on his second brother. His elder brother and the fourth brother were beyond hope.

Father Miao wanted to advise him further, but seeing Gong Jiaming already out, he dropped the idea. His son-in-law was no longer the clueless person from before; he already had his own approach.

Moreover, compared to an outsider like him, Gong Zhuang understood the Gong Family better.

"Go back and study well; learning more is always good. If your dad had a higher degree, he could have a better job." Rembering what a friend said about Gong Zhuang, Father Miao sighed.

Is it an education issue? Despite Gong Zhuang being insistent on his children striving in their studies, when it ca to his own learning, he literally felt the headache but didn’t want to outright say he didn’t wish to learn.

"Isn’t it just that I didn’t catch a good ti, and when the good ti ca, I had forgotten almost everything?" Of course, Gong Zhuang had to explain himself a bit.
