I positioned myself around the corner, eavesdropping on their conversation, and couldn’t suppress a chuckle.
The sound of approaching footsteps made Vance’s lips curl into a satisfied smirk. He was certain Elara, that pathetic woman, must have been suffering here.
When he looked up, he actually saw a disheveled . I was gripping a steel pipe and honestly looked like I’d been rummaging through garbage.
"Tsk, what the hell happened to you?"
Vance examined from head to toe, his expression full of revulsion.
"Elara, were you scavenging through trash? How did you end up looking like this? Finally realize that without us, you’re nothing more than a stray mutt?" Jasper rose from his seat, hands shoved in his pockets, sneering.
A woman without spiritual abilities and no money—what could she possibly accomplish even if she made it here?
The few people trapped in this facility probably had no idea who they were—how could they possibly shield her?

I raised my eyes calmly, but my face was too delicate to convey much nace. Combined with the original owner’s "outstanding" reputation, my words didn’t discourage Jasper at all—they only emboldened him.
"What are you acting coy for? Forgotten how you used to beg ? We made a mistake not touching you back then. Now I’ll rectify that."
