The Pillar of the Present World, although a passage connecting the First and Second Layer of the Abyss, is ultimately situated in the middle layer and not truly the Abyss Second Layer. It can only support Player Levels to a certain limit.
The entry limit is Level forty-five.
Players exceeding Level forty-five, even if possessing a pass, would be rejected by the Pillar of the Present World. They must undergo a cumberso ritual to reinforce the pillar before it’s possible to pass through.
For those present, players at Level forty-five haven’t even begun to touch divinity, and they’d be considered inadequate as subordinates.
Yet, such a character has managed to injure them from a distance, and it was rcury, who ranks among the top ten of their group.
The absurdity of this event is not unlike encountering a borderline out-of-control B-Level dungeon in a trial dungeon.
rcury covered his nose, blood continually oozing between his fingers, distorting his previously friendly salesman smile into sothing nacing and grotesque.
Beside him, a female player waved her Magic Wand, enveloping him in a golden healing light. Within that light, his nosebleed gradually stopped, but once the light ceased, the nosebleed started to gush again.
This scene utterly stunned the crowd.
As players with activated Divine Seeds, they are nearly undying compared to non-divine players. As long as there is enough Energy to sustain divinity, any injuries should heal rapidly.
Injuries that they cannot recover from imply that the opponent’s attack has damaged their very essence.
What baffles them even more is that this kind of injury has a strong repulsion to divinity, not even divine Skills can dispel it.
The absurdity of this scene is not rely encountering a borderline out of control B-Level dungeon, it is a direct Breakthrough!
The female player who attempted healing earlier tried two abilities with no effect and, helpless, could only retrieve a pack of tissues from her personal space to hand to rcury.
rcury wadded the tissue into a ball and stuffed it into his nose to temporarily stop the bleeding.
After this commotion, the expressions on everyone’s face in the eting room grew solemn.
Not to ntion the odd nature of the injury, the fact that rcury’s body was hurt remotely through a descended Clone and even damaged at the source, not many in the eting, even those present, could achieve such a feat.
The presence of soone with such thods at the Pillar of the Present World — the outco is obvious.
The one to break the silence was Joy, who asked with a slightly furrowed brow, "Was the attack from one of the Four Major Organizations’ wardens?"
rcury shook his head, replying, "It wasn’t a player from the wardens. Judging by the aura, it was a player from the Desolate Realm."
The room erupted in an uproar.
A player from the Desolate Realm able to remotely harm the essence of divine players — it’s like they tweaked ga values without any restraint.
What’s this, buddy? Aren’t you afraid of the admin banning you for such blatant cheating?
As discussions turned to potential thods the attacker might have used, a man sitting above rcury, wearing a brass helt, suddenly furrowed his brow, realizing sothing.
He asked, "The one who injured you, could it be the sa person you exposed in the contract last ti, the one I had to remotely deal with?"
rcury’s expression turned slightly unsightly. He glanced at Joy, then nodded, saying, "Their aura is quite similar; it should be the sa person."
The discussion fell silent in an instant.
They have thods to harm from a distance; their attacks are potent enough to damage the essence of divine players; they’re resilient to the point that even rcury and Thunder God Perun combined couldn’t kill them.
And such a monster is rely a player from the Desolate Realm.
If they ascend to the Abyss Second Layer, how could anyone stand before them?
Hearing rcury and Perun’s words, Joy also couldn’t remain still. He stopped twirling his Prayer Beads, saying, "This truly is a big problem, ti is running short. rcury, ensure your people speed up, we must acquire that item soon. Losing a Pillar of the Present World is manageable, but that item must not be lost."
rcury nodded, saying, "I will notify them."
In Underground Shelter No.88, Wu Chang exited the temporary admin perspective, returning his consciousness to reality.
He opened his eyes to find himself lying on the sofa in He Yun’s office. As he sat up, he saw He Yun entering with two cups of coffee.
He Yun offered a cup of coffee to Wu Chang, then sat beside him, saying, "When I was dividing the underground shelter’s permissions to you just now, you suddenly froze in place, staring blankly at the corner, like you’d been petrified."
"I checked your Life signs, and the instrunts indicated you were healthy. I guessed you must have seen sothing while in Spirit Communication mode, so I moved you to the sofa."
Wu Chang turned the coffee cup in his hands, saying, "I did see sothing."
He Yun replied nonchalantly, "If it’s difficult to express, you don’t have to say anything."
Wu Chang explained, "It’s not a secret I’m keeping from you, but I don’t know how to explain it. Simply put, when you gave the underground shelter’s permissions, I gained recognition from this Plane, and using the Plane’s Power, I saw the universe we’re in."
"Wow." He Yun exaggeratedly raised an eyebrow, "You’re not about to say you were just communicating with my world, are you?"
Wu Chang took a sip of the coffee, finding it quite smooth, with plenty of milk and sugar added, whereas He Yun’s cup was obvious black coffee with nothing added.
