“Gu Mengmeng means nothing more precious than treasures.” Gregory added, with his tone filled with caution.

“Can’t I?” The expectation in Gregory’s eyes was so obvious that it made Gu Mengmeng feel as though she had mitted an offence if she rejected him.
She nodded and said, “Fine, so long as you like it.”
Gregory smiled extremely blissfully.
“Baby Meng.”
“Yeah.”
“Baby Meng.”
“Yes.”
“Baby Meng.”

There were two more days until the wind would stop.
Gregory told Gu Mengmeng that Elvis and Lea were already at the foot of the mountain. They had found a cave that they could seek shelter from the wind at the foot of the mountain and were temporarily staying there with Wabei. After two days later when Gu Mengmeng had obtained Love of the Sky, they could leave together.
Gu Mengmeng wanted to go down the mountain to see Elvis and Lea. She had not seen them for four days already.
Since they had bee partners, this was the first time that they had been apart for so long.
Gregory hesitated for a while and still shook his head, saying, “You will be leaving the day after tomorrow when you obtain Love of the Sky. Can’t you stay and acpany me during these two days?”
Thinking back about what Gregory had said that day, Gu Mengmeng hesitated and nodded her head.
Gregory would not be leaving with her. He would be lonely most of the time in the year and she could not even promise that she could e here every year’s dry season to keep him pany, moreover how many chances would he have to leave the mountain to look for her?
She could not even bear being apart from Elvis and Lea for four days, how would Gregory endure the remaining days?
Forget it, she should just keep him pany during these two days.
Gregory hugged Gu Mengmeng and sat by the fireplace. He reached out his hand and asked, “Can I hold your hands?”
Gu Mengmeng directly placed her little hands in his. When she looked back, she could see happiness overflowing from his eyes.
Gu Mengmeng laughed softly. The high and cold impression she had of him when she first met him had crumbled pletely. He was practically a fresh young brat which did not know anything about love, anything small could easily keep him this happy.
“Eh, your hand is really beautiful.” Gu Mengmeng was surprised and pulled his hand closer to scrutinise repeatedly, saying, “I always thought that Lea’s hands are the most beautiful, just like a scholar, slender like plum branches, long and well proportioned. But yours is different, it has more manly aura with the joints obvious and the lines flowing smoothly. These small calluses do not seem like flaws and instead give a sense of security. If Lea’s hands are for holding books, yours is for wielding a sword… Yeah, one hand wielding the sword and the other holding wine, while venturing the world in bright clothes.”
Gregory never felt that his hands were special but after being specially plimented by Gu Mengmeng, he became more concerned with it.
He had to care for his hands properly in the future.
After all, she liked it.
“I don’t want to wield a sword, I just want to hold you.” Gregory held Gu Mengmeng’s little hand, placed it on his lips and kissed it.
After kissing, he then realised that he might have acted in an overboard manner, so he looked at Gu Mengmeng’s face nervously. Seeing that she was not angry, he could be at ease and laughed, “Hold for my whole life.”
“Then you should follow me down the mountain after I obtain Love of the Sky. If you are on the mountain, how can you hold me for your life?” Gu Mengmeng made use of the topic to convince him as she did not intend to give up. Instead she wanted to use any reason to trick him to leave.
She was not concerned about the other birds on Motou Mountains being lonely but Gregory is now a part of her family, so she had to trick him to leave.
