"Grawwwww!"

The monster let out a deafening roar, then charged straight at Drake’s group!

"Die!"

Fiona roared as she leaped forward, slicing the monster cleanly in two with a single strike!

It was surprising that the monster was cut in half with ease by Fiona, collapsed to the ground, and imdiately vanished—almost as if it had never been there, to begin with!

Another monster lunged at Fiona, its long arm raised to strike at her legs. Fiona quickly dodged.

At the sa ti, flas surged from Harry, engulfing the monster. Once again, the creature quickly vanished, as if it posed no real threat.

But Fiona could feel the force behind the monster’s swipe—it created a gust of razor-sharp wind. It was obvious that if she had been hit, her legs would have been gone!

Luis stood behind them, his brows slightly furrowed. He, Alice, and Saphen were all under protection.

And then, the thunderous roar echoed again.

Two more monsters appeared at the doorway. But this ti, sothing was different. Even though it was just a slight change, it was clear—they were growing!

Fiona frowned. She didn’t strike first, instead choosing to wait and see what these two monsters would do.

They roared and charged straight toward Drake’s group.

With a single strike, Fiona slashed her sword and, dealt with both troubleso creatures.

But they were troubleso in a completely different way.

From what they had observed, these monsters grew stronger each ti they were killed. The more they were slain, the stronger they beca.

So far, Fiona had slashed them in various spots, and Drake had even chopped them into tiny pieces—but they still kept coming back. The more brutally they died, the stronger they returned.

"How the hell are we supposed to kill these two monsters? This can’t go on like this!"

Even though the monsters seed easy to kill, it solved nothing—they were still trapped in this place. And the longer they stayed, the more variables appeared.

They had no idea what might happen next. Would the monsters get even stronger? Or worse?

"Think of a way to get out of this room."

Drake suddenly spoke in a deep voice.

The monsters always reappeared at the doorway the mont they were killed, giving them no chance to escape.

But they couldn’t keep going like this—they had to get out!

Fiona imdiately followed Drake’s command. As the two monsters lunged at them again, she leaped forward, her sword flashing—cutting the monsters into several pieces. They vanished. At the sa ti, Fiona put all her strength into jumping through the doorway!

"Bang!"

But the monsters didn’t even give her the chance. They reappeared almost instantly after being killed.

One monster’s large hand swept at her, throwing her far back. Even though Fiona raised her sword to block, she quickly realized she could no longer kill the monster as easily as before.

Propping herself up with her sword, blood trickled from her lips. Her eyes turned cold.

"These two monsters can control their strength. They only let themselves be killed easily when they want to!"

This was going to be incredibly difficult.

[Ha ha ha, Drake was sharp to realize that escaping the room was the key!]

[The monsters only have power inside that room, but how are they supposed to get out?]

[Has anyone unlocked the storyline yet? How are they supposed to escape this room?!]

[Why the hell doesn’t this system have a donate feature?! Seriously, who runs a business like this?]

[The answer’s been there from the start—get through the door. The real question is whether they can make it through.]

[Exactly! That’s the only issue, ha ha ha.]

[What are you all laughing at? Did you forget that Captain Drake is here? Is getting out of this room that hard? I’ll admit he might lose to the dungeon boss, but these little mobs don’t stand a damn chance against him!]

Hearing that, Drake raised an eyebrow slightly, responding nonchalantly,

"Then we just need to ensure they can’t block the way anymore."

He glanced behind him and said in a low voice,

"Bella, protect Saphen at all costs. Got it?"

Standing quietly to the side, Bella straightened up the mont Drake gave her a task.

She swiftly pulled Saphen into her arms—her body might look petite, but her muscles were no joke. Even Silvanus couldn’t help being a little stunned.

Being held like this by a girl... even though he was currently acting like a young boy, he couldn’t help feeling a bit embarrassed, like he was so perverted con artist.

Bella sensed Saphen’s body stiffen and assud the boy was scared. She gently comforted him,

"It’s okay, I promise I won’t let you get hurt!"

Then she hugged him tighter, pressing his entire face against her chest.

Silvanus: "..."

No—he’d rather be held by Drake!

[Is Bella harassing Saphen? Look at how stiff he is, ha ha ha!]

[That chest attack... Saphen should feel blessed!]

[No way, he’s just a kid, co on!]

[Bella usually looks so dainty in her princess outfit, but now that she’s holding Saphen, I realize she’s not so small!]

[Wait—Bella’s a princess?!]

The flood of comnts made Silvanus even more embarrassed.

He swore—this would be the last ti he ever played the role of a little kid!

"Let’s go!"

Drake shouted, charging forward. The others trusted him completely and followed without hesitation, dashing ahead at incredible speed.

The massive blade in Drake’s hand glowed brightly, black flas erupting, incinerating everything in their path.

The two monsters were burned, reappeared, burned again, and reappeared again. Eventually, they realized this tactic wouldn’t work on Drake.

They roared furiously, their bodies writhing in flas. Rather than vanish again, they used their long arms to attack Drake directly.

Fiona, at his side, imdiately slashed off all of their arms!

"Grawwww!"

The monsters roared in agony, yet they hadn’t given up—they attacked even more fiercely. Their arms regenerated rapidly, and their bodies moved incredibly as if trying to latch onto Drake’s group.

Drake raised his blade. The sword, engulfed in black flas, scorched and charred both his arms. Fresh blood oozed out, mingling with the sll of burnt flesh—but he didn’t seem to feel any pain at all.

With a single slash, the monsters were cleaved into countless pieces!

The shrieks of the two creatures echoed violently in the air.

"Thud! Splurt, splurt!"

At the sa ti, Drake and his group finally escaped the room. The monsters let out reluctant, anguished howls but could no longer appear before them.

The dazzling lights of the mansion shone down upon them.

Their bodies were severely burned, large portions of flesh scorched. Drake’s flas had spared no one, indiscriminately engulfing everything—including his allies. Each of them bore severe wounds, faces covered in ash and soot.

Just then, the butler’s room door stood wide open. Inside, it was pitch black—no flas, no monsters—but no one among them was willing to step inside to check if the creatures were still there.

"We can’t stay here long!"

Luis spoke up, and the others began to rise to their feet. Even though it was well past lunchti, the best course of action was still to return to the mansion’s main hall.

They rushed back to the main hall and saw the butler calmly walking out. He glanced at their disheveled, battered appearances but didn’t ask a single question. Instead, his expression darkened, voice icy as he said:

"Honored guests, why are you only just returning now? Lunchti has long since passed."

Luis stepped forward imdiately and answered softly,

"We got lost in the snowstorm outside. We only just made it back to the mansion."

Alice quickly added,

"The blizzard out there was truly dangerous—we barely made it back alive!"

"That’s exactly why I warned you not to go out during a snowstorm," the butler replied slowly. His gaze carried apparent malice as if he genuinely resented that they hadn’t perished in the snow.

Perhaps he already knew everything that had happened—his anger made that possibility all the more likely.

Still, he didn’t press them further. He rely said,

"Next ti, you’d do well to heed my advice."

With that, he turned and walked away—just as Susan and her group erged from the dining hall.

The mont they saw Drake’s group, their expressions grew visibly tense.

Susan stepped forward, her voice filled with concern:

"Are you all okay? Let help!"

Drake raised a hand to stop her. Alice’s energy radiated out at the exact mont, quickly healing everyone’s injuries.

There were too many for a complete recovery, but since they were all highly capable espers, their wounds would likely be fully healed by nightfall.

"Just help Alice out a bit," Drake said.

Susan then motioned for two of her believers to co forward and begin praying. A soft, gentle light surrounded Alice, assisting her in healing the others and replenishing her energy.

"Where did you all go? We were worried," Susan said quietly.

Jessica frowned slightly,

"Is it okay to be talking about all this out here? Isn’t it dangerous?"

Drake replied without concern:

"No matter where we talk in this mansion, it’s already listening. Might as well be comfortable about it."
