At this tense mont, a pillar of light suddenly descended upon the divine temple. On that day, anyone present could witness the manifestation of a miracle.

God descended to the mortal world, taking on the form of the Pope, conveying His will.

The Nobility had acted tyrannically, stripping every citizen on the continent of their human rights. They deserved to be punished.

He bestowed upon the Pope a blade capable of cleaving through all darkness; the night itself seed to be torn open by a rift.

By the following morning, the will of God had spread throughout the entire Land of Light. The common people surged with fighting spirit, and the Church seized this opportunity to raise the banner of true righteousness, ready to sweep away the rule of the Nobility.

As for this, the Nobility was half-believing and half-doubtful. They too worshiped the one who granted them power, but to many of them, this seed nothing more than a farce.

"Those people from the Church have always been good at playing tricks and pretending to be divine. Now they’re even using God to expand their power."

"Let the war begin—for the glory of the Nobility!"

In the end, the nobles decided to strike first to gain the advantage. The war erupted abruptly, almost without warning.

Starting from the center of the Aurellan family, the Nobility surged outward like a mighty army. In the blink of an eye, they swept away all the commoners surrounding their domain, causing morale among their ranks to soar.

As expected, commoners could never compare to the power of the Nobility!

Carrying unshakable pride and overwhelming strength, the Nobility advanced directly toward the Church.

The Church was ford by countless temples arranged together. The main sanctuary, designed like a colossal holy tower piercing the sky, stood at the center. Surrounding it were spiked barricades and a massive gate more than ten ters tall, resembling an impregnable fortress wall that blocked any threat from outside.

"How can these people go to war without any concrete plan?! Nana, didn’t you say they wouldn’t attack until next week?"

Nick stared at the dust clouds in the distance. Streams of energy twisted through the air before erupting into thunderous explosions. Houses were reduced to ashes. Flas of war ignited everywhere, forming towering columns of smoke that billowed upward, staining the entire sky in an impenetrable black. The light was swallowed whole, making it hard not to feel as though the Church were the righteous ones, while the Nobility were the bringers of darkness to this continent.

Nana frowned at Nick, truly unable to understand why Silvanus had befriended soone so impulsive.

Even so, she answered, "They’re afraid they’ll lose."

As she spoke, she raised her hand. A faint light flickered in her palm. Even beneath this dim sky, it failed to shine with any real brilliance.

"The light is gradually fading," Nana said softly.

Nick was montarily stunned. He instinctively tried to summon the light as well, but the result was no different from Nana’s.

"How is this possible..." Nick muttered.

At that mont, Cain, who had been standing to the side, suddenly laughed. "The fall of the Nobility’s rule is a righteousness acknowledged by the world."

Nana frowned at him, but Cain seed completely unconcerned as he added, "Of course, I’m not saying the existence of the Church is righteous either."

"That’s precisely why we’re here," Nerio said casually. "Because only we are righteous."

Nick: "..." Fine. Even if that were true, these people were really arrogant.

"So we’re just going to watch the battle from a distance like this?" Nick asked again.

"The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. Naturally, we’ll wait for them to decide a winner before stepping in to clean up everything and beco the final victor." Cain smiled, looking entirely unwilling to fight in the slightest.

"Co on, let’s guess who’ll win. Dorian, say sothing. Who do you want to win?"

Cain called on Dorian again.

Only then did Dorian lift his head from the curtain of Cain’s long hair. He paused the braiding in his hands before saying softly, "Silvanus will win."

Asta, standing nearby, glared at Dorian with reddened eyes. He hadn’t even had the chance to touch Marax’s hair before! Why was everyone so close to Marax?!

Asta had even begun devising a new plan. Perhaps he could start by building a good relationship with Dorian and Nerio... that way, he might indirectly strengthen the bond between himself and Marax!

In stark contrast to Cain and the others’ calm deanor, the center of Luminous was now engulfed in smoke and flas. The commoners had been evacuated to the sides, allowing the Church’s army to step forward. At the sa ti, the Nobility could clearly sense that the light no longer belonged to them.

In an instant, the battle seed to turn into a one-sided crushing defeat—and the Church was the one doing the crushing.

Hymns of praise echoed everywhere. The commoners knelt upon the ground, awaiting the victory they had long yearned for.

Having lost the blessing of the light, the Nobility’s flux drained even faster. The outco of the battle soon beca apparent: the Nobility, who had always prided themselves on their strength, could not even break through the massive gates leading into the Church’s domain.

From the very beginning, every sign seed to point toward the Nobility’s inevitable defeat.

"Wait, what’s that over there in the distance?!"

Soone suddenly shouted. At the sa ti, others also noticed figures flying in from the far horizon.

At first, it was only a streak of light hurtling forward, like a cot about to crash into the earth.

As if realizing sothing, Sylus suddenly roared, "Run!"

But it was already too late. The "cot" slamd directly into the center where both the Nobility and the Church’s mages were gathered, delivering a devastating blow without discrimination.

"Boom!"

A thunderous explosion rang out. The blast shockwave sent shards of ice flying in all directions, hurling nearby mages away. Within a radius of ten ters, not a single person could remain standing.

Kirin’s four hooves stamped down upon the ground with imposing force. The fur along his legs rippled and billowed like soft clouds, his scales shimred with a radiant glow, and the crimson horns upon his head looked as though they were bleeding. Coupled with the swirling mist around him, he seed like a being that existed only in myth. His fierce lion-like head let out a thunderous roar.

Nerio sat upon his back, his tail now grown out behind him.

He smiled, casually sweeping his gaze over the people sprawled across the ground. "Your performance was truly entertaining. Unfortunately, it ends here."

Without giving anyone the chance to recover, the mont Nerio finished speaking, the others began descending from the sky one after another.

Seeing Nana appear with her legion, the remaining Nobility could not help but roar, "So these are the ones you chose to follow?! Why didn’t you try to win them over to help the Nobility instead?!"

From high above, Nana looked down coldly at the ground below. "From the mont I left, we were no longer on the sa side. Now we will claim victory for..."

After a brief pause, she finally spoke that na:

"Silvanus."

That’s right. Victory for Silvanus.

"Silvanus~" Nerio also raised one hand high and murmured softly. At the sa ti, countless razor-sharp shards of ice suddenly materialized in the air, trembling endlessly. In the blink of an eye, they filled everyone’s field of vision.

Simultaneously, Nerio lowered his hand and turned his palm upward. Energy gathered in his grasp, surging like ocean waves. The ice fragnts suspended in the sky began to tense, as though carrying the montum to pierce through anything on the ground, vibrating with mounting force.

"Die." He spoke softly—then suddenly clenched his fist.

Instantly, as if receiving a command, the sky-covering shards of ice shot downward toward the earth, accompanied by shrill tearing winds, like divine punishnt descending from the heavens.
