Leonard stood quietly to the side, head lowered, saying nothing in response to Eryon’s attitude.

At that mont, Cyril and Ron also entered from outside.

Ron glanced around the shabby bathroom and asked, "Did sothing happen?"

Eryon opened his mouth, about to say sothing, when he suddenly realized that all the blood in the bathroom had disappeared entirely. Even his stained shoes had returned to their original clean state.

"No way..." Eryon muttered, drawing Cyril’s attention.

Cyril looked at him and asked, "What exactly happened?"

Eryon suddenly beca irritated. "Don’t tell you guys don’t know anything—do you find it fun ssing with people using these childish pranks?!"

Cyril looked confused, but Eryon ignored him and stord out. The stench in the bathroom was so overwhelming that he felt like he couldn’t breathe. He had no intention of staying there a second longer.

Cyril and Ron couldn’t help but turn their gaze to Leonard.

Leonard told the truth: "When I ca in, I saw water all over the floor... and it looked like so large, strange creature was standing before Eryon."

Cyril and Ron couldn’t help but be at a loss for words.

"After going through all that alone, he still thinks it was just so prank from us? Is he really that fearless, or is he hiding sothing?" Cyril asked, genuinely baffled.

"Maybe we just can’t figure out how his brain works. Let’s get out of here first. This place isn’t sowhere we should stay too long."

However, Leonard had already smashed the wooden door. At this point, they could face danger—or the stench—at any mont.

"All right, it’s ti to talk seriously, Eryon. What exactly did you see in that bathroom? It could be the monster we’re supposed to be up against," Ron said as he stepped outside, looking at Eryon with a serious expression.

Eryon frowned slightly, his eyes lowering as if deep in thought. Then he asked, "Why did you guys break the door and co in suddenly?"

"To be more precise, it was Leonard. He called out to you without response, so he thought you were in danger and broke in."

This ti, the one who answered was Benjamin, who had remained silent the whole ti. Eryon was visibly startled. Sowhat awkwardly, he glanced at Benjamin, then at Leonard. His expression quickly turned sour.

"Why did you call for ? We don’t even know each other."

"That’s how you treat soone who just saved your life?" Cyril said, a little angry on Leonard’s behalf.

Eryon shrugged. "I’ve never needed anyone to save ."

[Talk about tough talk, ha ha ha. Too bad Leonard showed up too early!]

[I would’ve loved to see this guy scared to death—just imagining it gives chills!]

But no matter what Eryon said, when he looked at Leonard, the man stood there silently, his head slightly lowered, unmoving like a statue. That only made Eryon even more irritated.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance, though his tone grew more serious:

"Just as I was about to leave that filthy bathroom, the shower suddenly turned on by itself, even though I didn’t touch it. Then the door locked itself. The water turned into blood and rushed toward . I closed my eyes—and then Leonard broke the door."

As he spoke, Eryon couldn’t help but gently rub his lower back.

Seeing that, Leonard imdiately apologized, "I’m sorry..."

"Get lost!" Eryon snapped coldly. Leonard could only stand there in silence.

[Help, why is Leonard being so patient with Eryon?]

[I don’t get it...]

[Sothing shady’s going on here. I can feel it...]

[No comnt.]

Like the viewers, Ron and Cyril were at a loss for words as they looked at Leonard.

Ron turned to Eryon and said, "After everything that happened, you still think this was just so prank we pulled?"

Eryon pressed his lips together, saying nothing.

Cyril let out a small chuckle, "We’re not that bored, you know..."

"I don’t care!" Eryon shouted, clearly flustered and angry. He turned away and flopped down on the only bed in the room, completely ignoring everyone else.

"You—!" Cyril was annoyed by Eryon’s attitude, especially since they had already agreed that the only bed would be for Benjamin!

Benjamin held Cyril back and said, "Just leave him be."

By now, the night was already halfway through. As Benjamin rested with his eyes closed, he suddenly snapped them open. Nearly all the espers did.

There was a sound—

A strange noise, like sothing slippery, dragging itself across the damp ground, leaving small puddles in its wake.

"Ssshh ssshh..."

Knock, knock, knock!

There was knocking—but not at their door. It was in the room next door. Cocona’s room.

No sound of a door opening followed. The knocking grew louder, faster, and more urgent until it felt like that old, worn-out door could break apart at any mont.

And yet, no other noise ca except for the increasingly intense pounding.

BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG!

Suddenly, everything fell eerily silent.

Eryon narrowed his eyes and asked, "Did it leave?"

Benjamin looked at him, about to respond—

But then, the knocking resud, suddenly and violently, like a drumbeat pounding straight into everyone’s chest, making them all flinch.

Their eyes all turned toward the door—

It was trembling violently with each heavy strike from the creature outside.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Then—

"...Heeellooo..."

The thing outside the door... spoke. Its voice was slow, raspy—like a broken television with static.

Everyone in Benjamin’s group exchanged looks, their expressions turning grim.

At the first door, the monster had only knocked.

At the second... it had started to speak.

Suddenly, the knocking stopped again. Eryon muttered, "Is it gone?"

But just as he finished speaking, the butler’s voice rang out from beyond the door:

"Good evening, dear guests. We’ve prepared a new room for you upstairs. Would you like to move there now? Your new accommodations will be far better than this shabby place."

The voice and tone were precisely like the butler’s.

If it were anyone else, they might not suspect a thing.

But Benjamin’s group stood perfectly still, on high alert—

Prepared for whatever fight might co next.

Hearing no response, the monster suddenly fell silent.

Then, Count William’s voice unexpectedly rang out:

"Good evening. I have sothing to discuss. It’s about the thing disturbing the castle—there’s a detail I forgot to ntion this afternoon. Please open the door."

Of course, no one believed a single word from whatever strange creature was lurking outside.

The silence inside the room infuriated the monster. It pounded on the door with such fury that it shook violently as if it wanted nothing more than to burst inside and devour everyone alive.

It was only the first night, and the monster was already this aggressive—

It was hard to imagine what the second night would be like.

After a while, realizing that no one behind the door would open it, the sound of sothing slithering through water returned.

Then ca knocking... at the third room.

"Good evening, dear guests. We’ve prepared a new room for you upstairs. Would you like to move there now? Your new accommodations will be far better than this shabby place."

The voice echoed again, identical to the butler’s.

Benjamin’s group held their breath, waiting for the NPCs’ response.

The bald man had just been "getting ready for bed."

At that mont, the three won in seductive outfits were already lying on the bed, waiting for their fun to begin.

These three were part of the tools the group planned to use to seduce Count William—just one part of their elaborate con. But indulging in a bit of pleasure beforehand wasn’t a problem. After all, the more they practiced this sort of thing, the more alluring they beca.

Upon hearing the butler’s voice, they imdiately began picturing a larger, more comfortable room—perfect for their little gas.

The blonde woman quickly wore a robe, whining playfully, "Let’s hurry up and go."

No one else had any objections.

"Everyone, get dressed quickly," the bald man said, then opened the door and stepped out.

"Aaaaaaahhh!"

Almost the instant he stepped outside, a blood-curdling scream pierced the air—

Bright red blood sprayed out three ters, splattering into the room like it was shot from a hose.

The thin blood spread with terrifying speed, catching everyone off guard with the sheer shock of it.

The next second, the three won scread in unison.

Drenched in sweat, the long-haired man stamred, "W-What just happened..."

Then ca a sickening, wet sound—

The sound of a predator slurping flesh and blood.

Even from inside the room, the NPCs could hear the grotesque dripping of blood onto the floor.

In the pitch-black hallway beyond the door, the corpse of the bald man still seed to be glaring at them with bulging, lifeless eyes.

Before the group could fully process what just happened, the butler’s voice rang out again:

"Dear guests... Don’t you want to move to a new room?"

This ti, the voice sounded like the speaker’s mouth was full of food.

It was garbled, rushed—sending a shiver down everyone’s spine.

"Close the door! Close the damn door now, hurry!"

The blonde woman scread, tears streaming down her face.

She shoved the long-haired man frantically, her face twisted in terror.
