Alex was surprised to hear that the girl who ca in second had co to look for him the previous day. The feeling he had gotten from her after they t the first ti was that of a distant and reserved young lady who wouldn’t interact unless it held so importance to her.
So why was she looking for him already?
"Did she say what she wanted?" Alex asked as they kept walking.
"No, she said she wanted to et you first. Do you want to et her?" Eric asked.
Alex shook his head, he had other important things to attend to and would rather not form another connection with another student.
By now, they had arrived at the lecture hall and classes soon started.
Hours passed swiftly, and Alex was finally done with all of his classes for the day. He was about to head ho when he ran into soone.
It was Ellie.
"Hello, instructor Ellie," Alex said with a gentle smile as he approached Ellie. She looked exceptionally beautiful despite wearing a casual robe that most of the instructors wore at the university.
"Alex, it’s you," Ellie said with surprise and then asked where Alex had gone yesterday; she didn’t sense him in his room last night.
Alex then inford her that he wasn’t staying there anymore and had gotten a place outside the university grounds.
"You went to rent an apartnt outside the university and you didn’t tell ?" Ellie asked with a deep look, feeling slightly upset and angry that Alex didn’t inform her of such an important matter.
"I planned to tell you today, I wanted to get the place first." Alex quickly explained with an apologetic smile.
"Do you even know anywhere in Brandvel City? How are you sure that you weren’t scamd? And is the neighbourhood a good place? You should have told , I would have helped you look for a good place." Ellie clicked her tongue in annoyance.
Alex chuckled, Ellie was acting like a girl whose boyfriend did sothing behind her back. He found it funny.
He proceeded to tell Ellie where the place was and how much he had ended up paying at the end.
"Hmm, is that where Harold lives?" Ellie asked with a thoughtful look.
Alex was stunned, Ellie knew old man Harold?
Was that old mage popular?
"Yes, he actually helped yesterday or I would have been scamd. Do you know him?" Alex asked, curious as to who the old mage from yesterday really was aside from being the leader of an explorer group.
"It’s only natural for you not to know him. Harold is the leader of the Blue Cross explorer group, one of the biggest explorer groups in Brandvel.
He also has a lot of connections with big families and magic universities; lots of families send their young ones to him to get their first-ti experience as explorers." Ellie stated.
Alex was surprised, it turns out that old man Harold wasn’t as simple as he had thought.
"It’s fine if you’re in the sa neighbourhood as Harold, you should try to get close to him too or if he would allow you to follow his group out on missions," Ellie advised.
"I will," Alex nodded before continuing. "That’s by the way, about our date, when will you be free?" Alex asked, a look of anticipation flashing across his face.
"Hmm, let’s see. Next weekend then?" I have so things to take care of this week." Ellie said after thinking for a bit.
"Ok, that’s fine. How about we exchange numbers so you can let know when you’re free?" Alex asked.
Ellie had no problems with this and gave Alex her number.
Alex waved and left afterwards, he went back directly to his place after leaving the university.
It was already approaching evening. After getting ho, Alex took off his uniform and took a quick bath before changing into a fresh set of clothes.
He wasn’t done yet. After changing his clothes, he brought out his black robe and white mask. Now Alex was set and ready to head out.
"Void Walk," Alex mumbled as he activated one of the skills of the system.
The view in front of Alex changed, and he was now staring at the entire Brandvel City from above like a bird flying past.
He could see the first gateway of the skill inside his room, he had to pick a place for the second gateway to appear.
After Alex made his choice, his point of view returned to normal, and the gateway that led to the white space of the skill was already in front of him.
Alex didn’t hesitate before stepping in.
Two hours later.
Alex stood in the middle of nowhere, around him was a vast expanse of land that stretched for as far as the eye could see. The ground was extrely flat and not a single hill could be spotted, wind blew past occasionally, sending waves of sand into the air.
A part of the sky was red and the sun was gradually descending.
Alex didn’t know where this was, but it was the farthest he had gone from Brandvel City. He was currently millions of miles away from the capital City and couldn’t sense any mage within a 2 million-mile radius.
It was a perfect place for him to create and test his second Saint rank spell.
Alex could feel several magic beasts moving under the ground; he could sense over a thousand of them, but their presence didn’t bother him.
He summoned his system interface with a thought and the blue screen appeared in front of him.
...

"This will be enough," Alex mumbled to himself before activating the craftsman skill of the system, the interface popped up in front of him with the options to choose from.
If he wanted to craft a spell for the space elent or for the lightning elent.
Alex already had one Saint rank spell for the space elent, so he decided to craft for the lightning elent this ti. So he picked the lightning elent.
After picking, another set of options appeared in front of him.
If he wanted to customize the spell he wanted to craft, or he wanted the system to auto-craft for him.
Alex had no particular spell that he wanted to craft in mind, so he picked auto-crafting and planned to pick from the suggestions that the system would provide.
Again, he was asked to choose the rank of the spell that he wanted the system to craft. Alex picked the Saint rank.
....
[Crafting...]
....
The notification appeared, displaying that the system had started crafting random Saint rank spells.
Alex didn’t know how long it would take for the crafting process to be completed, so he decided to farm exp points to kill ti.
Alex’s eyes turned silver white as hundreds of silver white stars appeared in the air around him the next second that ford into thousands of star patterns, hundreds of star constellations, and a hundred Links!
"Space sword," Alex mumbled softly.
