CH 306
"Welco to the first continent, Mr Chen. Please, follow ."
A gentle voice ca from the side and Alex turned his head to look. A beautiful lady who appeared to be in her late twenties with brown skin, stood in the corner next to a door. She wore a corporate outfit, and her hair was braided into a single bunch that fell over her left shoulder. A pair of transparent glasses shielded her eyes, making her even more beautiful.
Gorgeous!
Alex had to pause for a mont because her looks were striking. He further noticed that she was at the Sorcerer mage rank, she had the sa strength as Vice President Maria.
Without saying a word, Alex stepped towards her. The lady opened the door and both of them exited the room.
As they moved through the hallways, Alex noticed that this building was very similar to the Union Core Center building in Brandvel. Just that it was several tis bigger and he could sense the presence of stronger mages here, the weakest presence he had detected was at the Master mage rank!
After walking for a bit, the lady stopped in front of a door and pushed it open before asking Alex to go in. After entering, Alex noticed that it was a spacious office with a comfy setting. A large glass window at the back allowed one to see the outside world.
"Please wait here, the President will be here shortly as we have already notified him of your visit." The lady said with a slight bow before closing the door and leaving.
Left alone, Alex walked around the office and went to stand in front of the glass window, staring at the view outside.
From what he observed, they were probably hundreds of ters in the sky; he could easily tell how tall this building was.
He proceeded to spread his mage sense across the city, wanting to know how it looked.
A while later, Alex’s eyes widened behind his mask as he slowly withdrew his senses.
"This place is huge!" He exclaid softly after finding out that his Mage Sense wasn’t able to cover the entire city and had barely reached half of it.
Just how big was this place? Brandvel City was nothing compared to this. That wasn’t all, the general strength of people in this city had also surpassed that of Brandvel City. He could barely find anyone below the Expert mage rank!
"As expected of the first continent," Alex said softly, a small smile hung on his lips as he now realised why the others respected Femi and those from the first continent.
With nothing left to do, Alex went back to sit on one of the available seats in front of the long desk in the middle of the office. He just sat there and waited.
Ti passed slowly. Almost an hour later, the door was finally pushed open and soone stepped in. Alex slowly turned his head and looked, his eyes landed on the familiar face of Femi.
At the sa ti, a big smile ford on Femi’s face as his eyes fell on the familiar white mask.
"Mr Chen, you finally ca to see !" Femi voiced out with a friendly tone as he walked into the office, leaving the door open.
Alex looked behind him and then noticed the tall Tive who had been with Femi during the joint operation. The man stared at Mr Chen, bowed slightly, and then closed the door while leaving the two Saints alone.
Alex "..."
Not really bothered, he turned to face Femi who was already seated opposite him across the desk.
"It’s good to see you again, I see you’ve been well," Alex said in a casual tone.
Femi’s smile deepened slightly. "I’m doing my best. Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, I wasn’t close by and had rushed over at full speed when I heard you were coming." He stated.
"Sorry for the trouble," Alex replied.
"It’s alright, I was the one who said you could co look for anything after all. So, should we start talking imdiately or do you want to tour around my city first? I can be your personal guide." Femi inquired, his expression slowly getting serious.
"I’ll tour another ti, let’s talk important matters first," Alex said.
"Hmm, alright. I won’t ask why you’re looking for the chaos elent essence stone or how you even ca to know that na, the fact that there are more than eleven elents isn’t a secret amongst mages of our rank.
Still, we haven’t encountered anyone who awakened any of these unknown elents so it’s difficult for us to make it public without enough proof.
Over the years, strange-looking elental spirits with weird abilities have appeared but we haven’t been able to properly study them because of the unknown danger involved. Could you tell more about this Chaos elent that you’re looking for?" Femi requested after a bit of explaining.
"All I know is that it’s midnight crimson in colour," Alex stated.
Femi’s eyes flashed with a surprised glint after hearing Alex’s response, Alex obviously noticed this and imdiately beca expectant.
"Midnight crimson huh, so that’s the chaos elent," Femi mumbled.
"Do you know sothing about it?" Alex asked, trying to hide his impatience.
"Yes, I do. I actually know where you can find an elental spirit of the chaos elent and since there’s an elental spirit, there’s surely going to be an essence stone. But first, do you know anything else about the chaos elent??" Femi asked.
"No, I only know its na," Alex replied.
"Hmm, then this is going to be dangerous even for Saint mages like ourselves." Femi let out a breath with a frown on his face.
"Why do you say so?" Alex asked, curious as to what Femi ant.
Femi didn’t hide it and said that the elental spirit he knew was already fully matured, so approaching it without knowing what the chaos elent was capable of would be deadly even for a Saint rank mage.
It was like walking into a corridor full of traps with a blindfold on.
"Hmm, I see. How about we go take a look? We can observe from a distance first before planning what to do next." Alex suggested.
"That makes sense, do you want to go now?"
"Yes, let’s leave right away," Alex replied and stood up.
"Wait, I forgot to tell you sothing." Femi suddenly called out. Alex paused and looked at him, and eyebrow raised under his mask.
"What is that?"
"The location of the chaos elental spirit is inside a special zone that’s ruled by two powerful formations. A ti formation and fog formation. The fog formation makes it easy for one to lose their sense of direction and get lost, it’ll be impossible for those below the Archmage rank to find their way out.
The ti formation is the most troubleso, it makes ti run very slowly inside the special zone. A day inside is a week outside in the real world.
So adding to the fog formation, it’s easy for one to spend months inside without knowing. Several formation masters have tried removing these formations but failed to find their core, they seed to have ford naturally.
The best we can do is not yet lost, so I want you to rethink your decision.
Unless you have nothing to do within the next few months, we can head out right now." Femi inford while looking at Alex’s mask with a calm expression.
