Yan Xinxin gasped softly, accidentally falling into Mo Chuxi’s chest.
Warm fragrance and soft jade filling his embrace, Mo Chuxi tightened his arms and pressed the button to open the door with one hand.
Yan Xinxin had no idea what was happening. Just as she was about to break free, his lips landed on hers.
The kiss was fleeting, so fleeting that just as Yan Xinxin thought it might be starting, it was already over.
"Goodbye Kiss."
Mo Chuxi’s magnetic voice spiraled around her ear.
He lowered his gaze, his eyes entwined with colors Yan Xinxin couldn’t hope to decipher.
"First day at work, don’t be late."
Mo Chuxi reminded her.
Yan Xinxin snapped back to reality. With no ti to argue with this man, she imdiately turned and walked out of the elevator.
But just as she stepped out, she looked up to see Xiao Yize standing not far in front of her.
Thinking about what had just happened between her and Mo Chuxi in the elevator, Yan Xinxin’s cheeks burned instantly.
"Morning."
Xiao Yize greeted her.
Though his refined face bore no smile, his eyes were gentle.
"Morning to you too."
Yan Xinxin brushed aside the awkwardness and averted her eyes with a smile.
Xiao Yize stared at her, while a barely perceptible hint of lancholy shimred in his serene gaze.
"I really hadn’t realized before, turns out Chuxi is that clingy with his girlfriend."

"Yan Xinxin, can I ask you sothing? How long have you been dating Chuxi?"
Yan Xinxin was thoroughly stunned by Xiao Yize’s question.
Dating?
She and Mo Chuxi had never dated.
She had never openly confessed her feelings for him, and as for him, he certainly didn’t harbor that type of sentint toward her.

Yan Xinxin turned her head to see that woman—the one who had treated her with extre hostility before, even accusing her of plagiarizing Yan Zhirou’s work.
When the woman spotted Yan Xinxin, the smile on her face visibly darkened. She maneuvered her way closer to Xiao Yize.
"Young Master Xiao, what’s this woman doing here again? Isn’t she Sunny’s older sister? She’s ntally unstable!"
"Lily, you were overseas on business recently, so you don’t know what happened. I can understand why you’d say sothing like this now, but I hope once you’ve clarified the facts, you’ll apologize to Xinxin."
Xiao Yize spoke, his tone sounding calm and mild, yet the commanding undertone in his words was unmistakable.
"Additionally, I have taken Xinxin on as my apprentice. I hope that moving forward, you’ll assist her well."
At those words, Lily’s face turned ashen imdiately, her eyes filled with incredulity.
"No way! She’s nothing but a plagiarist! Young Master Xiao, how could you possibly take her—"
"It won’t benefit you to question on this."
Xiao Yize coldly cut her off, his tone carrying a faint warning as he glanced over at Yan Xinxin and offered an introduction.
"Tong Lili, she is my assistant and the only staff mber aware of my true identity."
So she was Xiao Yize’s assistant—no wonder her attitude was so arrogant.
"Xinxin, co with ."
Xiao Yize called her softly, his voice gentle.
"Alright."
Yan Xinxin replied, lifting her gaze only to et Tong Lili’s furious glare directed at her.
Recalling this woman’s bullying behavior, Yan Xinxin suddenly broke into a mischievous smile.
"Lily, I’m the newcor here, so I hope you’ll kindly look after in the future."
"...Who’s your ’sis’?! Why are you calling that? Do you an to say I look older than you?!"
Yan Xinxin turned back with a sweet smile.
"Lily, I didn’t say you look particularly, uh, mature. I simply ant that as the newbie, you’re my senior here. Calling you ’sis’ is just a way to show my respect."

Lily’s expression turned exceedingly sour upon hearing Yan Xinxin’s retort!
As Xiao Yize turned to leave, Lily seized the opportunity to grab Yan Xinxin’s wrist, her tone full of warning.
"Yan Xinxin, listen to . Don’t even think about making moves on Young Master Xiao! Focus on being a proper apprentice. When Young Master Xiao is not around, I run this departnt. Don’t cross , or I’ll make sure you receive warning letters—two warnings and you’re out!"
