Yan Xinxin blinked lightly, questioning herself, but no answers ca.
She reached out with her fingertips, brushing softly over Mo Chuxi’s facial contours. Her heart suddenly clenched in pain, and her fingers reflexively retracted.
Yan Xinxin, stop thinking about it.
No matter how much you think, there will never be an answer.
Because you don’t even have complete mories, only fragnted pieces and a few words that are like dreams but not quite dreams.
You can’t even be certain who you truly are, or who your real parents are...
Yan Xinxin clenched her small fist, forcing herself not to think any further.
She shifted slightly, intending to get out of bed, but Mo Chuxi’s arm was tightly wrapped around her. She looked down at his restraining arm and furrowed her brows in helpless frustration.
Yan Xinxin lifted her gaze, her eyes falling on the serene sleeping face before her in the soft morning light.
Mo Chuxi’s features were undeniably attractive. Yan Xinxin admitted that she had been montarily stunned the first ti she saw him.
But, after everything that had happened, the surface-level allure no longer held any importance.
She lowered her eyes, and then her gaze abruptly froze.
The robe he wore was slightly open at the chest, and Yan Xinxin caught sight of the scar over his left chest.
That day, he had grabbed her hand and, without hesitation, stabbed it into his own chest. The vivid red of the wound from that mont still made her heart ache even now.
Yan Xinxin once again reached out her small hand, moving gently toward the scar that marked his heart.
Just a second before her fingertips were about to touch it, Mo Chuxi’s hand suddenly moved, grabbing hers firmly.
Startled, Yan Xinxin’s beautiful eyes shot up.
In just an instant, under the tender light of dawn, her dazed and confused gaze crashed straight into the depths of his dark, night-like eyes!
It was as though a little rabbit had been thrown into her heart, frantically pounding away with restless energy.
Yan Xinxin frowned slightly, urgently trying to retract her hand.
However, Mo Chuxi gave her no chance to escape.
With swift movents, he grasped her wrist tightly. In the blink of an eye, before Yan Xinxin could even react, he flipped over and pressed himself against her slender fra.
"You’ve been awake this whole ti!"
Yan Xinxin panicked, hurriedly using her other hand to push him away.
Her words caught in her throat.
Unperturbed, Mo Chuxi reached out a hand, letting his fingers entwine with her long hair as he leaned down to inhale its scent.
"Do you enjoy forcing into things so much? Whether it was five years ago or now, you only care about what you want, never sparing a thought for my feelings."
Yan Xinxin opened her lips.
"Mo Chuxi, don’t overestimate yourself. Not every woman in the world will fall for you or be bewitched by you. When our baby... when our baby was gone, I truly wished I had never t you!"
Her voice was filled with rejection and resentnt. Mo Chuxi’s brow furrowed ever so slightly, but his expression remained impassive.
"It’s nearly been a month."
He suddenly spoke, saying sothing that Yan Xinxin couldn’t understand.
